Suboxone Detox In 10 Days
UpdatedHi after a ten year opiate addiction I started to run out of money. I was highly functional for the 10 years home owner, business, wife, the hole nine. it was money and my own self torture that brought this to a halt. so 8 months ago I went to a treatment center in Florida not knowing if I would ever be normal again. I found myself completely incompasitated (I was in a wheel chair for two days) the dr there put me on a 5 day taper from 4 mil gram sub down to 2 in 5 days omg it worked within 3 weeks I was better and ready to go home. I felt better than I ever have so I went home and went to meetings. good things began to happen and as we do how quickly I forgot I was a sick person and stopped the meetings when the stress of everyday life came back 8 months later. I relapsed in a matter of a week. I realized what I had done then of coarse it took another 3 weeks to come clean about it to my wife who is a pit bull by the way and takes no crap what so ever. so hear we go again. this time I felt after my past experience I could do an out patient rather than going in so after some searching I found a dr who was willing to do the taper again reluctantly of coarse he wanted to but me on 8mg 3 times a day death sentence anyway so I stretched the taper out to 10 days down to 1/8 mg and now hear I am 36hrs after my last dose. im just a little tired or no im exhausted but that's it im on .1mg colonadine, 100mg trazadone and now 100mg gabapentin only at night. the gab just got added yesterday after I was offered ativan and said no way benzo, im terrified of them. so here I am and my question is I know everyone is different but I find if I push myself to work and be active it seems to help, is this a good idea? I feel like if I sit around the exhaustion and depression consumes me. I feel like I dodged a bullet but I don't know I know the subs half life is long. yesterday I was ok, today im a little rough. is this the worst to come? mind you the last 10 days have not been fun but just so you know I am a beast and I believe in no pain no gain. at 30 years old I've had enough of this. I don't know if I'm looking for answers or just some encouragement. thanks.

Hello, Ian! How are you doing? Are things still going well?
The medications you've been prescribed should help prevent the worst of the withdrawals, though they may cause some side effects themselves, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and mood swings, as listed by the FDA, so they may actually be contributing to your exhaustion.
And yes, the activity is good, as long as your doctor hasn't told you not to do such things, but normally the distraction is a good thing, plus beneficial to your health.
Kudos for getting the help you needed, way to go!!! Your wife is a very lucky woman.
Is there anything else I can help with?
