Suboxone And Urine Test (Page 4) (Top voted first)

I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. I have a prescription from my Doc and I am on 16mg a day which by the way is wonderful. But I was wondering if anyone knows how long till my urine's clean?

Don't bother I had to test for pre employment and failied for bur.. I only took 2 pills and tested 6 days after my last dose ... they said it was faint but still showed up in a 12 panel test.

I took an 8mg suboxone at 4am today. I have a urine drug test at 9am today. Will it show up that soon after taking it?

From what I was told when I go in for my first visit to the Suboxone Dr I'm supposed to be clean. Does the Dr watch me pee in the urine cup?

Will Suboxone show up in a drug test at my pain Dr.? I'm prescribed 4mg Dilaudid, but I also take Suboxone sometimes. Do pain Drs have to run a specific test for Suboxone?

I hope no one uses this information to make any meaningful decisions. Not trying to be hateful but none of what you put in this reply is accurate. Different meds, even in the same class can all take different times to clear your urine. For example some opiates may be clear in three days while others can still show more than a week later. As far as blood tests, meds actually show longer in urine than in blood. For hair follicle tests, a 1 1/2 inch sample shows drug use for the last 90 days. Don’t believe me? A simple google search will show your “simple answer” to be completely inaccurate. Best of luck.

You're both right and wrong. It will test positive for buprenorphine, but not for the metabolite- what it breaks down as in your system. If you physically place it in a urine sample all it will show is that you suddenly started taking it the day before or day of testing. Some lower end clinics and programs, it won't matter- but others it will. It all depends on the quality of the test they use. The same goes for ANY opiate prescribed and being tested for in pain management type clinics. Some will only test for a positive result, others will use better quality tests that are designed to make sure you're using the medicine you're prescribed on a long term, daily basis instead of just right before your UA in order to prove you're taking it (like many do when they get their script just to sell it).

So I looked through these posts for the last few days having a freaking heart attack trying to decide if it had been long enough. Google seems to think it's out in less than a week and I gotta call BS on that for most people. Even a week later no way I'm giving urine to any agency or court authority. Lol. But seriously internet, you suck when it comes to answering this question. No one gives details, no one gives updates.. for goodness sake. So here has been my experience. I took Suboxone regularly at least 8mg a day for 18 months. I am about 130 lbs, female, 33. I stopped taking it Jan 7, 2017 took a test at the hospital, failed. Took the next test Jan 19, 2017 and it came back negative. I know they test me for Bup, however the second test was a dipstick so it could have had a higher threshold than the hospital.
Since then I have been tested weekly, totally clean, no cheating. Fast forward to April 2018. I took what was supposed to be my last drug test and like the ***** I am did 4 8mg subutex from April 11-14. The next Monday comes and apparently there was a mix up with my paperwork and guess who gets to drop another month. This girl. I have been tripping. I got called in to drop 4/23, decided I wasn't risking it, put it off until the 24th, and took vitamins and drank lots of water. I took my test, and somehow I passed.

Hello.

I have the strangest question for someone that would be so kind to answer this. I have never taken Suboxone in my life. My son, he does take Suboxone strips. I pick up his wrappers all the time. I picked them up as I'm yelling at him because if his daughter would get ahold of those it could possibly kill her or make her extremely sick. That is why I'm always picking them up. He doesn't leave them laying around any longer after my bizarre urine test. I've actually found a few little tiny strips laying around on the table so I picked those up as well. What I'm asking is if there's any way that could have gotten into my system by handling several foils and a few tiny strips that was laying around? Because I had taken a urine test and I came up with a very low low number of the drug from the Suboxone. My pain doctor said it was actually barely there so could this have happened by me handling the strips and a lot of foils? Because I promise you I have never ever consumed that medication. Thank you so much. I'm just baffled. My pain doctor said she was going to give me a warning. Then she said she was taking back the warning because she so believed me. But at the end of the day I just feel she's thinking in the back of her mind differently. Sorry for the book I just need a little help to figure this out. I did speak with my pharmacist and he told me that it was so possible for that to happen to me so I'm just trying to clear my name that's all. Or my urine. LOL.

Oh boy....Suboxone is a tricky drug that's for sure. I tested hot for Suboxone 9 days later. So it all depends on your body and how fast you metabolize any and every medication. So when you do a search on Google. Google says it should be out in 3 days. That's a bulls*** lie. It takes way longer. Good luck because I screwed myself. I used to fly under the radar now I'm above the middle of the radar meaning they're so watching me now. LOL We all make mistakes in life. I was only just trying to get by. Was it the wrong way to get by? Yes it was and I'm paying dearly now. Good luck all.

I'm just curious if you take 8 mgs of Suboxone for at least 3 days will it be out of your system in 19 days? Please someone help out a Granny Thank you. Sometimes it's totally ridiculous that we have to do what we have to do just to get by nowadays.

Hello....

They usually don't watch ???? you go to the restroom and pee. The only reason they would watch let's just say if you were on probation or something like that then definitely they will watch. But if it's just a private pain clinic no they don't usually watch. They never watched me. Hope this helps.

I would say why it wasn't in your urine is because you were definitely not taking it.

I don't mean to call you out but it is what it is. I've never had a drug test fail me yet. The old saying the proof is in the pudding, well the proof is in the urine obviously kiddo you didn't take that medication, most likely you sold it or just didn't take it. Sorry, like I said it just is what it is. Or maybe we just need more details??

Suboxone can stay in your system 11 to 14 days if not longer. If you're lucky maybe it would be out in 7 days. But that crap stays in there a while. Unbelievable.

The above poster is correct, if you are legally taking it as prescribed by your doctor, then you need to make them aware of it when you go in for your test.

In some instances, it will negate the entire test, depending on which type they are using.

Some places will just do the test anyway, then if they get a positive result, they will call you to ask what you are taking and they will ask for your doctor's information to confirm it.

How long does it take for cocaine and marijuana to get out of your system after taking suboxone? IT has made me clean before.Except the cocain wont come out yet.

This post is so silly, in they absolutely test for suboxone in urine. Even a simple 10 panel test otc. Also they test for metobolites that your body breaks substances down to not the drug itself. You cannot put any drug in urine and expect it to test positive. One more thing suboxone has about a 37 hour half life expect it to be in your system for 10-14 days
