Bl it depends on the dr. The new Dr might give them to her this first time and then request the paperwork. I don't think my doctor has requested my old paperwork yet and I've been going to him for a year now. Lol... Wishing everyone the best!! I'm glad to see people are finally getting in places

BL no they won't! I already asked if they needed my medical records transferred and they said no cause they can pull up INSPECT report and see that I've been on that medicine for quite some time now. Not all Drs are the same so I'm not sure why you are assuming that.

Jsmomma23, did you tell them that you're allergic to Suboxone ? It also depends on what your state laws say about prescribing Subutex, as well as your insurance company if you have insurance. If they have to prescribe you Suboxone, unless you're allergic to it, they won't take you word for it that you're allergic to it, they will have to have proof other than what you were prescribed by another dr.

Dr. Momodu is a terrible doctor. He's not accepting new patients. I have a claim against him for refusing to sign my preauthorization form to fill my script. Oh and not to mention it caused me to go into full blown wd. So yeah malpractice suit absolutely I'm a paralegal and my best friend a medical malpractice attorney. Not to mention he ends up making you pay $400 a month if no one has caught on by now lord have mercy on your souls. Not to be rude just look though, he will schedule at the beginning of the month and write 30 of the 8mg suboxone strips and have you come back to pick up the next script 2 weeks from that appointment. Then he will do it where they squeeze you in the end of the month so boom another $200. And what really disgusts me he is supposed to know about addiction, while I was pregnant he told me to just stop taking suboxone if I didn't want my baby addicted. I told him that he was insane and to prescribe me subutex I didn't want to kill my baby, I can taper but not just stop taking 16mg of buprenorphine a day to nothing. How ignorant!!! He wrote me the script after I proved he was ignorant. And not to mention he comes in for maybe 3 minutes, my last visit I timed him he was in the room for 2 minutes and 45 seconds, what a dang joke. I turned all their bulls*** receipts into anthem (not hip kind or whatever) and was reimbursed don't let his ignorant nurse who is rude and needs to mind her own business fool you. I told them I would not be returning to a doctor who believes in malpractice. Also I did get an opinion from my psychiatrist and it was indeed malpractice so yeah he'll love this legal case. But back to my response of not returning they refused to fill my last 15 strips well I just finally won that war. I now have mdwise but didn't when I started back in September so it's been hell with him. Luckily he is not accepting new patients as my buddy tells me thank god I would never want anyone to have to deal with him. Not to mention he rarely did a U/A on me, oh and btw it's a rapid evaluation. You set it on the nurses desk with everyone else's and they rarely check it. Buuuut my fiance JUST today received a $150 bill from his office due to 2 drug panels supposedly taken in October that had to be sent off to the lab. Ha funny just more ammo for my case. My fiance never signed for it to be sent off which is REQUIRED by Indiana State LAW annnnd he last went in September what a damn joke. KEEP AWAY from JUDE MOMOU unless you SUPPORT MALPRACTICE! Think it won't happen to you? I honestly pray it doesn't, we are giving them out trust to help us, this is how we are repaid? He never checks your urine or if your going to counseling. I was clean and in counseling but I expect a doctor I'm paying $400 a month to follow his own protocol. Watch out he may start with that insanely expensive bunavail that is bunk then move to suboxone but good luck with a preauth. To those of you patients of him not having trouble just be aware of the information I provided. I had a miscarriage, I don't want anyone to endure that pain from a doctor's negligence. Sorry so long guys just wanted to warn everyone!

PS....DR. SEGAL is AMAZiNG!!

Agreed what a joke. Because I am on 1mg Xanax and 90mg adderal prescribed by a PSYCHIATRIST and my old sub doc knew and was fine with it, Dr. Sitha Gita had his nurse come in and ask me to do residential treatment. WTF?! I only have my prescription in my system and my suboxone which is prescribed still too. I asked if it was a f***** joke literally. Pardon my obscene language but for real? I suffer from PTSD, panic attacks and extreme ADHD and had plenty of diagnostic results from St. VINCENT NEUROSCIENCE to show what conditions I have and genealogy lab results detailing what works best for my body for those conditions. They should not even be in practice. Not to mention I recorded them lying to me. I specifically asked if prescription medication would be a problem and described my situation after informing them they were on a recorded line and they replied it would not be a problem. I'm going to file a claim on them with all the evidence I have, they should ask my occupation so I could inform them of my paralegal position at a very well known law firm..ridiculous. I'm sorry about your wasted visit as well. There is hope, keep trying. You will find a good doctor!! Go to NAABT.org or call the number on your insurance card and ask about doctor's who can prescribe buprenorphrine. Best of luck to you!! Sending prayers your way!!

This Kathline Whaley I'm not sure about. Don't want to go and she gets shut down. She was under investigation in 2011 and was suspended too. That's just scary to me. So I'm just lost here.

btbritty. filing a malpractice suit and winning it is not the same. You should know enough to know that if you had died from the withdrawals, it may be a malpractice suit that could be won, although doubtful. When is your attorney going to file the malpractice suit against this dr ? Your psychiatrist saying it is malpractice is not the same as it being malpractice.

BTBRITTY I know you had mentioned that you did or got rembursments for paying cash to your visits thro Anthem but not HIP Anthem right? My friend told me hat she got monthly rembursments from HIP Anthem when she paid for her visits. But Im not sure if thats true. Has anyone else gotten rembursments thro any HIP insurance ?

Sorry there is just too many to keep reading back and forth. But thank you for pointing that out to me. And no you can't get reimbursement from any kind of Medicaid HIP etc. I have actually attempted to and was denied. I see why too it's free health care and I'm only paying a small fee for it. It's in the membership part too. Can call and ask them and be aware they may get little snappy lol. But no they do not reimburse you for office visits your paying out pocket. If the physician takes ur insurance great and if not then we are responsible. Just saying from my experience with it. I can say I do like dr Momudu and haven't had any trouble in the year I've been there. I am now kinda keeping my eyes open just in case. Yes he does check if your in counseling cause you can't get your PA without it. The PA are the only thing I find stressful but that's just part of it I guess. I'm weighing my good and bad and so far things aren't that bad to go all out in revenge. That's just too much waited energy. I pray for peace and brighter light at the end of the tunnel to you.

Mommyof3, Medicaid pays very little to its providers, compared to what they make with other insurance. It would defeat the purpose of Medicaid if Medicaid reimbursed for going to expensive drs that won't take Medicaid patients. Medicaid reimburse in a few situations. Seeing a dr that doesn't take Medicaid is not one of them.

BL, clearly your not an attorney. And I know enough to know a recommendation from a psychiatrist is different but maybe you should do some research since your so interested in my situation. It IS malpractice to abruptly stop a maintenance medication not to mention I HAVE epilesy. So yeah my seizures from hospital records is enough to win a case. It's not about winning for me though which is why I am in this field, it is about justice. I feel very strongly towards justice for people LIKE US. Just because we developed a physical dependency on an opiate medication or for some street drugs we should not be more susceptible to forms of malpractice. And since your inquiring further, my neurologist is furious, as I always sign for all my medical records to be shared among any physician I am under care of. But as you should know seems how you talk like you know how this judicial system really operates (or you do not have experience just word of mouth unless you represent the state) then you would not even consider asking me the status of a pending case.

I only replied to the post just to share my own personal experience to inform others of stations like this that ariss more frequently than what most people believe. Also to educate malpractice doesn't just constitutel wrongful death. There are so many gray areas in malpractice, certain criteria, different stipulations so maybe read more into it before you post something and appear to not be very educated in addiction, laws neuroscience and anatomy.

INSURANCE TALK

Sorry hun I am not sure about your answer with the anthem for HIP question. I did have GeoBlue which is an internalltionatl insurance. My suggestion would include calling the doctor as well my insurance provider. Sorry I couldn't be of.more help.

BL my doctor takes Medicaid but sense he is at that max number their allowed too. I'm having to pay for it and honestly I don't mind. Insurance covers the script so I have no problem contributed to my health needs. I just know they will not reimburse you for it either. I had done my homework and talked with them about it. So I was just sharing what I was told. I am here giving my support or help I can and maybe get that in return. This isn't a something to get hyped about nor talk down to anyone. Not sure your intentions here responding but really kinda comes off little left. But anyway I was wanting to ask the Brit girl about Momodu. I am currently going there I yet have had issue like yours. I am worried though cause I have seen few things that are huge concern. I'm not sure if im correct but seems to me something is going on there and it's strange. They moved the entire location to the city without contacting any patients strange to me.
