Ok this is my experience so far with mdwise suboxone and allll the cold calling..... its long bare with me...first i have been at my dr for 5 years im on a 1.5 mg maintenance dose. i have never had a dirty ua or missed an appointment. now with that being said im not going to lie i have taken a little extra sub here and there and i regret it every time bc i am committed to my recovery. so i have been a cash pay for the entire 5 years.. this last month my coverage started for hip 2.0 (which my current dr accepts). i got called in for a random on dec 23 and they wanted me to come in on Christmas eve!!!! on top of that i was out of town for xmas.... like a lot of people are.... and they acted like i was a liar and still wanted me to drive 13 hrs home that day to come in and ruin everyone else's xmas in the process (i thought we were trying to not let this control our lives!!!) so they asked me to bring for gas slips to prove i was out of town (not that unreasonable) but i lost one of them!!!! looked everywhere and i know for a fact if i dont have it they will drop me! so i have been trying to find a new dr b4 it does.... i have called every dr in the state that mdwise says takes the insurance(except far north).. most are not excepting new pat. and the rest dont take hip mdwise they take care connect!! the insurance company has NO CLUE what is going on!!! they gave me #s that are no longer there, that didn't take it at all, and weren't taking new pat. sooooo a lot of the cash only dr say they cant take us with the insurance and pay cash..... well i ask 4 diff ppl today at mdwise about that and everyone i talked to had a diff answer but NONE were what i read in the handbook which basically says...... if there r no available dr in network with in 60 mi of ur residence for an approved service that u can get an out of network one approved!! which is awesome for me cuz i live way out! i am going to call them tomorrow to make sure that is true b4 i go to a cash dr. if u need the info my old dr takes hip but not anthem!! they are always taking new patients. he is an ok doc. honestly he doesn't play around tho! at first he can be a little harsh but i needed it!! he will be understanding once u establish trust and do what u are told! he doesn't taper too fast.. the bad thing is HIS STAFF they are pretty rough but if u can get past that doc is decent. info is ... Dr irving haber- terre haute indiana also in southern in u can go to the southern indiana treatment center fast.. its pricey but they can get u in in just a few days.. sorry about the novel but it looks like a lot of you are dealing with the same things..

scarlett, if you are only missing one gas receipt, would the other receipts prove that you were out of town in the time frame they wanted you to come in ?

The out of ntework dr will have to accept Medicaid and will have to be accepting new patients. I don't know if you not going in for the pill count and not being able to prove that you were out of town will affect you going to another dr or not. If a new dr gets a copy of your medical records, which almost all do, it will depend on what your medical records say if they will accept you or not.

Thanks all. I'm in the open enrollment period, I have mdwise now...switching to Anthem, I think...so does anyone know of a sub Dr that will take Anthem hip plus? And Scarlett, do you use a debit card...or your spouse? Maybe you can print off an account record that shows where you paid or where the atm was located? I know my transaction history shows the actual dresses of my purchases. Or see if you can get an old receipt from someone else....

Vero, I wouldn't recommend getting an old receipt from someone else because it is easy to verify if it is yours. Finding another dr may be difficult, but if they can prove you lied and they write that in your medical records, it will then be nearly impossible, if not impossible to find another dr.

I did already find a new dr!!! They were really great. They said that they have a lot of patience on hip even though they r cash only.. Mdwise finally told me ( after-no exaggerating- 20 phone calls to them) that I can be reimbursed for an out of network dr as long as my primary writes a referral. So I have to work on that but the dr said they can take me anyways and I told them about what happened at my old dr and they understood.. I could have found copies of my gas slip somehow yes but honestly that was kind of my last straw with them. They really don't take the time with their patients that I need right now and I had told them I was going to be gone ahead of time but they don't always listen. plus the new place I found is an hour closer to home. So I'm feeling good about it

Yes. And I Just Lost My Job And My Home. So I Don't Have $300bucksA Month To Pay A Doctor When I Have Insurance. And I've Had No Luck In Finding A Doctor To Help Me With My Addiction Or that Will Take My Hip-MDwise

Crystal If you read the comments back a little further, I addressed Tophy, but I told her the name of the Dr. That I went to with Mdwise. He's in Franklin. Besides that, we are all having problems with trying to find Drs. that take our insurance and we are all in need! Most sub Drs are full because they can only have so many patients on the sub program.

Not everyone is the same. I've been on suboxone for 2years and have absolutely 0 cravings, but I broke my back in 2001 and arthritis severely in my back and my hips, every once in a while I'll have a good day, and only have to take one shot, but most of my days are spent in so much pain, I'd rather be paralyzed, so I don't feel it at all. I am only 40yrs old,,I ran track all through High school,,and ran for ISU, played basketball and softball, played percussion and string, had one kid natural, and two csection...I've always been a very active productive woman. I have tried everything, all the way to a Indian medicine Dr, to lose the pain, but nope, I have so much pain. I'm on a really high dose of suboxone, so I do not feel "the high" from the pain meds, but I couldn't pick myself up to do anything without the pain meds. So I'm just saying, not everyone is the same, or handles pain the same, regardless of help they get, not to. Biofeedback is something that helps, when there isn't legitimate chronic issues. It's not fair to compare your situation. We are clearly trying to keep people coming here, for help. Not trying to run them off with judgement. Shalom

Lou, I'm not sure if your replying to me or not, but if you are, Im not sure that you read my last response right. I'm not comparing everyone or anyones situation to mine......As far as who needs help the most or what. I said most everyone here is having trouble getting into a sub Dr. that takes h.i.p., which has been the reason top of discussion! I did not say anything to run anyone off!!! I offered my help. Please don't comment if you don't know what ur taking about

To: BL Right not good advice. I meant to tell Crystal to get a recipe from someone else that went with her on her trip that might of paid for gas. To Crystal: That is good u got into another Dr. Hope it works out w.o any problems. Did you get into a Dr that takes ur hip? Which hip are you on?
