Suboxone Advice For A Rookie
UpdatedI am on day 2 of w/d from a hefty norco addiction and was attempting to cold turkey it with the help of prescribed 5mg valium I am prescribed for anxiety. I ended up feeling pretty sick (of course) and started feeling weak and wanted norcos. I am determined to quit so I bought an 8mg suboxone from a friend. I had already taken 3 of the Valium throughout the day and due to the cloudiness in my head from w/d and Valium I swallowed the first half of the suboxone instead of letting it disolve. Rookie move. I waited 45 minutes and felt absolutely no changes. I decided to take the other half under my tongue. I am feeling EXTREMELY high. Nodding off high. Slow breathing. Nauseous. Killer headache. I'm not really trying to expose all this to the ER as I'm a hypochondriac and my first reaction is to go in but they're so crass when your ailments are from bad decisions. Am I going to be ok? I've read you can have fatal breathing problems in your sleep from mixing benzos and suboxone and I have extremely low tolerance to everything. Always have. Advice?

Both Benzodiazepines and Suboxone can cause depression of the central nervous system, so yes, combining them must be done very, very carefully. This could cause shallow breathing, lowered blood pressure and lowered heart rate, which may be dangerous.
You really should seek medical help with this from a doctor that's trained in using Suboxone. The dosage of it must be precisely calculated according to how much of the drug of choice you were taking each day and how long you were addicted to it, so doing this on your own isn't a good idea.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
How are you feeling, now?
