Suboxone 8mg/2mg And Roxicodone 30's (Page 13) (Top voted first)

I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me.

Stephanie, Start today on 1mg for a week. The next week taper to .5 for a week. The next week taper to .25 for a week. Then jump. If you have a two week supply left you can do this. This may be a good time to get off subs for you. If your not ready make sure your dr. writes you a script with a refill on it to hold you until you find another sub dr. Anyway you look at it 2mgs is too high to jump from. If ttheres no other way beg ask him for script for Clonodine and something to make you sleep. Your drs. got it wrong. You,ll start to really feel the wds in 3-4 days because of the long halflife of subs. I,m no dr. I,m just familar with suboxone. How long have you been on 2mgs?

Hi please help ive been addicted to oxys hydro and methadone fir almost 7 years now only swallowed them im up to a 400 mg a day habbit and need to get off ive moved out of state and cant get any and just want to stop I have children to take care of and just cant take the withdrawls took them mostly to escape an emotionally abbusive marriage so I could never tell him or have support he would use it against me any way he could I have 60 8 mg generic subutex I took 16 mg and still feel some withdrawl should I take more till I stabaleize I just want off everything but cant take being sick mentslly or physically noone c as n help me with the kids either so that makes it hard too pls help if u can im desperate

Hey helplessly, If you do take more just try a couple mgs at a time until you feel right. I know the pills are hard to cut. Try to stay on that dose once /day for week or two then come down a couple mgs every week. Get your dose low. You won,t feel the tapers bad until you get real low. Then its still not bad.

I had surgery last week broke my shoulder arm and fractured my elbo and wrist i went threw 90 5 mil perks in a week i was not trying to feel high just relieve my pain i have had many surgerys in the past forgot how i stoped the pain med my question i took a 8 milg sub this morn will that get me through plus i was thinking taking 4 mil tomorrow and 4 the next day I'M S00 confused .

Hi Lisa hard to say I already suffer from depression I think a lot of it is because your getting used to being off the other stuff and on that and with suboxone you finally feel everything you didn't before but I can say that being on it has made me not as happy shall I say it has it's pros n cons I've been on it awhile for my second time and I'm on a real high dose

I support you in this path of getting out of drug. To save money and get your med, try looking for Discount Card on the internet. The trick is: Each discount card is different. For example, you may find discount card with the name RXRELIEF, which may help bring down the price of anti-biotic very well but may not bring down the price of SUBOXONE at all. You just have to keep getting at least 5 cards and bring to pharmacies that like you and GIVE THEM TIME to try to find the best card that can save you most money. Some pharmacy people have good heart to help you but they have no time. You have to give them time to help you. Also, the price that you see on internet at the web site of discount card is NOT TRUE PRICE. At each pharmacy, each discount card will be slightly different. Remember, give time to the pharmacy people to find you the lowest price. Always Always Always be nice to pharmacy people. They have tricks to help you. If you are nice to pharmacy people, you may get lucky and meet a few good persons.

Wait time depends on you. After your last pill of Oxycodone, you can wait 4 hours, then, take Suboxone. Or, After your last pill of Oxycodone, you can wait until you have SOME signs and symptoms of withrawal, then, take Suboxone. Why? Okay, let's slow down and see inside our human brain. Like a football game, we have receiver. The receiver will receive chemical. Oxycodone or Suboxone whatever you used is the ball. After receiver gets the ball, receiver will HOLD the ball for a long time. During HOLD time, receiver will not take any new ball. If you take Oxycodone then, the ball of Oxycodone be held by receiver for hours and then let go to trash. How long will receiver hold Oxycodone? Depends on your body. Your body may hold Oxycodone for 4 to 5 to 6 hours...maybe more....10, 11, 12 hours...That depends on your body. How do I find the time my body holds Oxycodone? You when you have SOME withdrawal signs and symstoms, you body did let go of Oxycodone. When should I take Suboxone? When you have SOME withdrawal signs. Don't wait until you have ALL withdrawal signs because I do not want you to suffer. Just when you have some withdrawal signs, take Suboxone. Your body will hold Suboxone at receiver site for about 24 hours to 40 hours (depending on your body.)

I'm smoking 8 grams of brown a day, how do I start using the suboxone, to get of the other stuff, like do I start an hour a day and how many milagrams do I need ?

I'm not sure if anyone still posts on here but it's worth a shot...I used to have a problem with painkillers. A pretty big problem actually..I couldn't get out of bed without insufflating something, lost 20lbs, spent 1000s of dollars etc etc. ..last July I decided I couldn't live my life chasing pills and living dollar to dollar anymore, so I began taking subs. Not through a dr. But on my own. I convinced myself that give it a month or two id be normal again. Well 8months later and I'm not....I know it hasn't been that long but this is taking longer than I planned and I would love some advice.....I only take about 2mgs of an 8mg strip a day. Sometimes less. And I only take it when I start to feel I need to. Clamy, eyes tearing down my face, hard to swallow feeling, legs and arms hurt etc.....when I do take it it's usually early in the morning then I go back to sleep and wake up feeling 100%....my concern is am I taking it wrong? And if I stop cold Turky how long will I suffer terribly? I usually last 20-24 before I have to take another 2mg. Thanks to anyone who responds.

I just started subs today. I was very nervous to even try, but I just want my life back. I'm not even sure who I am anymore. The doctor prescribed me 8/2 3 times a day!!! Not knowing anything about it I thought it sounded like a lot. I've taken my first dose and I cut it half...so 4 mg...I feel somewhat foggy but now I'm getting extremely anxious. I took it 3 hours ago. Any advice? Are you still on them? Thank you. II'm just looking for someone to talk to that understands this.

Hi Toomanyyears, 3 strips a day is a lot. Thats 24mgs. If your cutting them in half or 1 and half strip a day is 12 mgs. Thats what my sub dr. started me on for a 500-600mg a day roxy habit. I,m no dr. but 24mg/day is a high dose. Just because subs don't make you feel high there still a very strong med. It takes a few days at first to get used to them. Whatever dose you decide to take you should stick with same dose for awhile so your body can adjust to it. Don't jump around with dose levels. I,ve found it best to take whole dose first thing in morning.
