White pill with LI90 labeled on it, we are trying to figure out what type of pill this is. It was cut up into little tiny pieces in the pocket of my grandfather's pants. They smelled a little minty but we know that they are not mints. ## The reason it smelled minty is because it's actually a Nicotine lozenge, used for smoking cessation. It is a generic or store brand and that also explains the mint smell, because they are mint flavored. Are there any comments or questions?

A large round white pill with NL 2S imprint. tastes minty. but not sure what it is. I need to know as the pill has turned up completely out of the blue in our house, and need to identify it before i start accusing anyone. I had smoked for almost 30 yrs and started Chanix two weeks ago. I haven't had the urge to smoke since I started, but my main concern is that I have a lot of chest pain. That will increase if I get winded or take a deep breath. Has anyone one else had this problem? ## Have you spoken to your doctor about this? I hear a lot of people complaining about side effects like nausea, headaches, dizziness, bad taste, vivid dreams and so on. Here is my take on it, yes there is going to be side effects on any drug, what you need to evaluate is, is it worth it? I say yes, I would rather have a headache any day than a hole in my throat speaking out of a voice synthesizer. I would rather be dizzy, than in the hospital getting a triple bipass surgery. I would rather have a bad taste in my mouth then be struggling to breath everyday. And I would rather have vivid dreams than to be dead and not to dream at all. Depression is the only one to watch out for if you experience this, it is not good so stop taking it. Can you take Chantix if you are pregnant? ## It says you should not take it if you are pregnant, because theyare not sure what effect it may have on the baby ## I would suggest consulting with your doctor, they will weigh the pros and cons of your using it while pregnant and let you know what they think you should do. ## I became pregnant in October right after being prescribed Chanix. I never did take it because my doctor said GUARENTEED it will cause birth defects. Of course this is 2010 and the original post was 2008 so I hope you and your baby are well/

I bought the first doses about ten months ago, but didn't start treatment at that time. I finally started the treatment about a week and a half ago. I don't seem to experience as much of the side effects as others. Does anyone know if Chantix looses it's zip after that period of time? I don't think I've been having wild dreams, but I did notice I remember them better for the most part, so they seem more frequent. Dreams are wierd anyway, so I don't necessarily think Chantix has made mine any more strange. I don't seem to suffer from loss of sleep yet, although I don't sleep as much as most people anyway. I can feel that I am on a drug when I'm taking it. I don't eat breakfast, so I take the pill with about 4 to 6 oz. of milk in the morning. I feel...

Is the daytime pill the same as the nightime pill with Champex. My husband has taken the daytime but has the nightime left. Can he use these during the day. ThNKS ## They are the same exact dosage, it is just taken twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, to help try and beat the craving to smoke, after the second week of use. I used chantix to quit smokong for several months, then slipped up and started again. I would like to use the remaining pills to help me stop again. These are the Blue full strength pills and I was wondering if i can cut them in half to use a the starting dosage? Or can I just start back with the blue pills? ## I suggest asking your doctor or pharmacist, some pills can be safely cut in half and some cannot. ## I was wondering the same thing so I called the pharmacy to find out. They said that you CAN cut the 1mg tablets in half to begin to use Chantix again.

In 1992 in Talahassee Fl, a Dr prescribed this patch that was new to the market at that tiune. I had smoked for 35 years and it worked very well, the second strength was not yet out after the 30 day full strength was taken! Cannot remember the name but it was a RX not OTC.

If you are asking questions about blood pressure etc, ask your doctor. I am on week 4 of the pills and haven't smoked for two weeks. Champix (as they are known in the UK) seemto be working. Have smoked for about 15 years, and in those have only managed one or two days without before. Am not into my third week not smoking. Is very strange, you simply don't want a cigarette. But I do suffer from sleep disruption, either several vivid dreams (and waking after each) or not sleeping at all. The nausea doesn't last longer than 20 min, I always take with a pint of room temp water. Will knock you out for the first few days, I am lucky enough to work from home so could take frequent naps. Round white pill with light pink speckles. Pill the size of a dime and as thick as 2 nickles. I am taking Desipramine for adult ADD/anxiety. Can I take Lobeline for smoking/alchohol cessation since they both work with nuerotransmitters/seratonin levels? ## It is not advisable to combine anything, without first consulting your doctor. Desipramine is a Tricyclic antidepressant and they often cause problems mixing with other substances. this site is not medical professionals, though, so cannot possibly advise on this. Have you asked your doctor about it? Lobeline is a natural supplement, however, they can be just as potent as many medications and carry side effects, though these are not usually studied.

What is the difference between the OTC Nicorette Inhaler and the perscription Nicotrol Inhaler.? The OTC Nicorette is only $42 while the Nicotrol is $200. ## Well, to be honest with you, I looked them both up and there doesn't seem to be any difference, other than the fact that one is available over the counter and therefore much cheaper. They both come in 4mg and 10mg cartridges, of which they are to be used the same way and the same amounts are absorbed. To be honest with you, if I hadn't already quit a few weeks ago and had to spend my money on an option, I'd go for the over the counter one, since it is cheaper. Did your doctor suggest you use the prescription one?

I've been off of it a week. My skin on my face has become really dry, What can I do to help my skin ## this site is not medical professionals, so we can't possibly say whether the dry skin was caused by the medication or something else. Have you tried talking to your doctor about it? Have you tried any creams or lotions to see if they help? I tend to get dry skin whenever the weather turns colder and am using lotions all through the fall and winter. There is nothing like this listed as a side effect, you can read them here:

this is my 2nd week on the chantix,i do mess up once or twice a day with a cigg,but i was smoking a pack a day.Anyway im on Paxil/Buspar for Panic disorder.i have been having weird dreams i feel like im in a funk,and all i wanna do is sleep,and sometimes i do get depressed.is this a problem with the mix of meds? please help ## Well, we aren't medical professionals, but yes, that could be what's causing it, the combination of the medications or any of them individually. They can all causes these types of side effects and taking all 3 at once can make them even worse. Have you talked to your doctor about this? It is a serious issue that should be dealt with.

I have taken Chantix for 3 months and I haven't had a cigarette for 94 days but I'm having horrible side effects. Aggression, trouble breathing, nervous and irritable. I took my last Chantix about 3 months ago, will this go away? Should I seek medical help? ## If it has been 3 months since you last took the medication, then chances are very low that this is being cause by it, it is long out of your body by now. I would suggest seeking medical help, at least a phone call to your doctor. It could still be issues from quitting smoking, but smart to consult them just to be on the safe side.

I just Started Chanix 4 days ago ..I hope this crap works , i need all the Help i can get, i tried everything under the sun even support groups from my local Hospital that was a wast of time and Money ect: Gums ect; Nadda So with all the other meds i took the Dr was a Little leary on me taking this , but after the Mild H/Attack in 2002 , and still smoking up to this date I know it was a time for a Change , and i hope this is that change..But over all?
