Starting Suboxone After 50mg Fentanyl Patch

I was taking oxycodone about 90 mg a day and ran out. A friend gave me 3 fentanyl 50mg patches which I use for 5 days, I've been clean now for 54 hrs. Have had sweats and chills some leg cramps and restlessness. As well as diarrhea. About an hour ago I took apprx 1mg suboxone. I am very fearful of precipitated withdrawals. I feel no difference yet. Is it safe to take more suboxone?

Before taking Suboxone, you need to be in full withdrawal from everything else, otherwise there is the risk of experiencing the dangerous precipitated withdrawals. Thus, you may have been taking it a bit too soon.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Yes, you can take a lil more suboxone if needed but no fent... Especially since its been a few days. You'll feel the sub's kick in like 20 min with most relief with feeling a bit anxiety. DO NOT TAKE THOSE HARDER ANXIETY PILLS (usually only a few mg each, benzo's) hope your fine rn <3
