Need a pain dr. in south Georgia ASAP. Needing a doctor that can prescribe sufficient amounts of pain medication so that I can function. I have a lot of back problems compounded by fibromyalgia and so on.

Do they take out of state patients? Also, do you know which ones dispense right there so I can be a cash patient? I do have insurance, but dont want to use it for this. I am a legitimate pain patient with fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy in my hands and feet, AND a healing shattered right shoulder. I'm in FL, and my doc is being difficult about pain management. I'm new to this world, and want to have a backup for pain meds. I have records from all my docs and the Mayo Clinic about the fibro and neuropathy. Can also show legit prescription records going back to January this year. Help?

I just moved to Georgian. I have been having sever migraine s for 20 years. I can not take imatrex or topamax. Can someone recommend a doctor that does not think everyone is a pill seeker. I have a ligitament problem not a drug abuser but I need prescriptions for the pain. Not sure where to go for an understanding doctor who understands not everyone is an addict.

Mr. Scientist- until you walk a day in the shoes of a person who deals with chronic pain on a daily basis who areally you to judge. When people ask for help in finding a compassionate Dr thats not drug seeking behavior. Too many Dr's out here have this god complex aND feel as if they know the pain a patient is suffering from more than the patient does. I have been living with chronic pain for 4 years. I have had 2 spinal fusions, meniscus surgery and endometriosis. Until, you lay in bed at night with electrical shooting pain from your buttocks to your toes, which then cause your knee to start to spasm and lock in place, you have no right to judge. I hate when people who have never had debilitating pain cast judgment upon those who do and think they know what the better coping mechanisms are.
As far as our Healthcare systems demise being placed on chronic pain patients, I can't help but laugh. Our Healthcare system has been in turmoil since Regan took office and the ones to blame our these insurance companies who charge outlandish premiums and costs for care. Oh and the fact they give their employees and CEO's million dollar bonuses certainly doesn't help. That's where your tax money is going. I refuse to argue any longer to a scientist who hasn't read up on their facts. I hope you never find yourself in a situation where oxycodone allows for you to get out of bed momentarily so you can enjoy life for a change.
