I'm in need of some help in the metro Atlanta Woodstock Acworth area. To make a long story short I was injured in a real badMVA,which needless to say I've been on prescription medication for my pain the last several years. Lost my GP and now I'm lost at finding an compassionate md to help me out. Thanks

I am looking for a new pain management doctor. I am new to GA from St. Louis, Missouri, however I am finding it very difficult to find a new doctor who will accept my records and communicate with my old doctor on a pain medication regime. I have been to the EL 3 times. I am looking for a steady reliable pain management doctor. I had Gastro - bypass in 2001 so diazepam for muscle spasms works well for me. When the pain is really out of hand I would take diazepam and percocet. I don't need these everyday mind you. One of the doctors that I saw here was adamant about supplying medication that the Bariatric surgeons warn you will give you stomach pains and ulcers. I have 6 years of documented pain therapy from my doctor in Saint Louis and all the different medication combos that I have tried over the years. Doctor number 2 wanted me to start all over, in essence, he wanted to give me medication that my former doctor already per scribed that we found would not work. I have no problems traveling to Woodstock. I just want to be pain free and productive.

hi i recently moved to florida, i have been on pain medication for a few years. i dont have insurance anymore and i need to find away to get my pain medication. i will travel how ever far i have to. if any one knows names of doctors i would really appriciate it. i thought moving to florida the pill mill capital of the country it wouldnt be a problem but i had no luck finding a dr. please help!

I live in Woodstock also and my doctor just moved to Texas and I have been taking xanax for 2 years now as needed for anxiety and panic attacks and the new dr they got in there told me she can't prescribe them anymore after this month and wants me try a new expensive drug instead. I say when something works why change it. I don't even take them every day so I don't understand, she said it is new guidelines. But I would like to know the names of some new doctors in the area because I don't believe her I think she just wants kickbacks from this new medicine and my other doctor had no problems for 2 years. So if you could please let me know some doctors that would be great.

Yes. I just moved here from California. I have chronic neck, back,elbow and shoulder pain. And I have the mri's ,scars,and other paper work etc. to prove it. Plus I have an awesome dr. in California that you can talk to. I've had major surgery on my left shoulder and it ,putty platt procedure,was a failure. I was supposed to see a surgeon about getting an artificial joint put in my left shoulder. Im on, and have been for several years, a lot of pain medication. Hey, I read your post. I keep being told by doctors (mostly orthapedist and some pain managment (but they are interventional, meaning NO narcotic pain meds) I am sick of this stuff, I am 53 and most day I cannot walk, and when I can walk at all, I must be wearing a back brace, which by the way is broken and split on two places from wearing it too much) so i read your post. I am close to canton, in Smyrna, close to marietta, you said you know a few docs to prescribe pain meds, can you please provide me with one, or some? I really appreciate the help. (cervical/spinal stenois, and have been told, it is so thin now at L4-5, that I have less then a week to not walk and will be in a wheelchair....STILL.......sorry, I don't prescribe narcotics, I am so so so so sick of this. My other problem is that I am on SSD for this situation, which puts me on Medicare insurance only, and I am not going to pay a pill mill hundreds of dollars, and then not be able to fill it over thier bad reputation. Help me out please?

hello, Do you still know the name of a pain specialist? i have a chiari malformation and a tethered cord, none of my doctors so far will do medication management, i went to 3 specialists, who take my money but do not help, i have spent 500 in copays the last 2 months, with no help medication wise, so i paid for advice, ugh. i have had 7 epidural inj's., and w/ the new laws no one wants to help, I am in canton, woodstock ga area please email me {edited for privacy} thank you
