Soma And Pain Pills

I have been on Soma for about 3 years long with pain pills as we'll now I was told that it is still in my system

Are you still on them, or have you stopped taking them?

As long as you are still actively taking a medication, then yes, they would be. However, if you stopped, then they would not be, after a certain period of time.

Soma is a muscle relaxant that's used to treat the pain and spasms associated with muscle injuries, strains and sprains. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Which pain medications were you or are you taking?

I'm not still on Soma I've been off them for about one year I'm still on the pain pills Norco10/325. And my UA keep showing up POS for Soma I really do not understand what's going on with that. Is that possible to show A POS ? and the DR. said something about Valium I've have never took anything far as a Valium never.My UA are POS for Soma and Valium my last three UA POS Please Help Me.

Soma isn't even something that's normally checked for, since it is just a muscle relaxant.

Are you taking anything over the counter that might be causing a false positive?

I was on SOMA for quite a while from pulling my back out. While on Soma I started sleep walking and falling down at night so I had to quit taking SOMA>

SOMA is one of the most abused medications in America, especially with Pain Pill users as it potentiates the high. Therefore I would think SOMA testing is more common than we think, and of course breaks down into a benzo in the liver, thus the false readings for Valium. Of course the O/P hasn't done them in a year so something is wrong!

Hi, Soma is the worst pill for muscle pain/spasm. I have a neck that needs surgery and a bladder w/no lining, very painful. Called Interstatial Cystitis. I OD'd on Soma
and had to go to ER and drink charcoal. My PCP recently put me on Tizanidine 6mgs. and I take 4 at night and wake up refreshed no OD and no pain from spasm or pain and I take it w/Xanax at night. Very good muscle relaxant and much much safer.
