I was prescribed Seconal during my stay at the hospital in 1970. It was an effective medication for me. I think that it should be available in a hospital setting only for the same reason why other potent medications are not readily prescribed to ambulatory patients.Moreover, I think that its use should be limited to the terminally ill patients who are unable to sleep due to the severity of their condition. Lastly, I think that strict rules should be in order for this medicine because it has been sadly abused in the past. ## Then I would recommend that send an email or a letter to the FDA regarding your experiences and opinions on it. this site does not have anything to do with controlling or approving medications, this is an information only site.

I took a urinalysis today and take Ambien. I am on some cardiac medications, synthroid, oxybutinin, and lipitor. The test came back positive. The other medications that I take are Tylenol #3 but I haven't taken for 3 or 4 months. Would the Ambien affect the outcome of the test: ## yes it would. I've failed drug tests for taking Ambien, as it shows up as a benzo. But if you have a prescription, you should be okay.

The name chloral hydrate indicates this is a hydrate, but the systematic chemical name indicates it is not, but that it is a diol. However, it is not usual for an organic compound to have 2 hydroxyl groups on the same carbon atom without splitting out water. What is the correct situation here?

orange round; no imprint. supposed to be generic ambien from India?. ## Without an imprint, there is no way to be certain what this is, other than to have it lab tested, sorry. All prescription drugs sold legally in the US are required to have a unique imprint for ID purposes, however, foreign drugs are not regulated that same, so there is no way to tell for sure what they sent you.

I took Ambian CR for 26 days, then I started having memory loss, depression and not able to sleep. my friends mother takes lunesta she says since taking this medication her mother is hungry all the time even in the middle of the night anyone no anything about this? thanks ## There is nothing like that listed as a side effect in the monographs on it, however, meds can affect everyone differently. If she is having a problem with it, she will need to talk to her doctor and they may be able to switch her to something else that won't do that.

Small blue pill with C198 on one side and nothing on the other (wondering if it was a lunesta) ## I am not able to find it anywhere. Perhaps this is an over the counter medication. When verwon comes on next time she might be able to identify it from one of her databases. Does the pill have any other imprint?

BottomLine Health lists this as a dangerous drug Doctors still subscribe ## It is listed as dangerous probably because it can be addictive. It is really dangerous for someone who has a history of drug/alcohol addiction. It is only supposed to be used for short term sleeplessness though. ## The reality, on top of what nenene already said, is that ALL prescription drugs are dangerous. That is why they are controlled substances and require prescriptions to obtain them. They all have side-effects, it is a side-effect of their chemical make up that you are relying on when you take a drug. You will not be able to purchase any prescription drug that does not carry various dangers of some kind, there are even dangers with over the counter meds if you read all the packaging. Is this round salmon colored pill A~ Ambiem CR? This was a refill and it's not anything like the first prescription. Thanks Yvonne ## Yes, the new tablets are a little different, because they have two layers, one is fast dissolving so you fall asleep fast, then the second layer is time released to help you stay asleep longer. ## I get better results with the original Ambiem that the CR pill -- I found myself taking the CR two hours before bedtime and then sometimes still laying there for awhile. Have you tried Lunesta?

I'll have to check with him again.... ## Chris, I do think it might be Rozerem since that's what it is prescribed for. Plus running a Google search for Rosozon does not return anything.
