I was prescribed Seconal during my stay at the hospital in 1970. It was an effective medication for me. I think that it should be available in a hospital setting only for the same reason why other potent medications are not readily prescribed to ambulatory patients.Moreover, I think that its use should be limited to the terminally ill patients who are unable to sleep due to the severity of their condition. Lastly, I think that strict rules should be in order for this medicine because it has been sadly abused in the past.
