According to NIH reports, any medication could cause a toxic overdose, which might be fatal, if too much is taken. I have been having trouble sleeping, i still have a partial perscription from last year that says ratio zopiclone on the bottle, the pills are small white ones. On one side they are imprinted with TEC and the other side says 2130. I just want to make sure i have the correct pills in the bottle before i take one. Normally i am perscribed the 7.5 mg pill which is blue and i just take half when i cannot sleep, so i cannot remember if the 5mg are supposed to be white. ## These ones are listed by Ratio Canada as containing 7.5mgs of Zopiclone. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and funny aftertaste. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been going to the same doctor since Sept of 1998..We have had some money problems this year like a lot of other people, and I haven't been able to pay my bill in full, however my husband and I have both talked to financing and agreed that we would pay a certain amount every month starting last month. I've been working a regular night shift since January, but in the day time I have not been getting sleep so i started to take zolfresh 5mg per day before sleeping and it is not working effectively. Since i can't get good sleep during the day my manager is always telling me to rest. What shall i do? ## Not all medications work for everyone that tries them. I got the 5 in Zolpidem and i love it. I slept soooo well last night. I do have a prescription from Dr, but i live way out of town and run out sometimes so this is my backup. I absolutely cannot sleep without it. I am having no problems with it at all. Love it. Hi all, ive been taking ambien for 2+ years pretty regularly (10mg, sometimes 20), and klonopin pretty regularly for 1.5 years (lower dose). sometimes, i have even had to combine the two to get to sleep. i stopped cold turkey about 10 days ago, and am having a really rough time. sleep is getting a little better each night, but not much. for a few days, i felt like a cloud was lifted and felt amazing. now, im feeling pretty depressed. how long should i expect this to last? ## It could take a month, or more, until your body completely adjusts to no longer having the medication. Even if you don't abuse a medication and only take it as prescribed, your body still becomes used to having it and can develop dependence on that substance. Hi I started taking restoril a few months back for insomnia after I was having adverse reactions (sleep walking, cooking, and redosing with out knowing it) and so restoril is amazing for putting me to sleep and keeping me asleep. I picked up my medicine and saw that it was a white capsule instead of the yellow so I called the pharmacy because I thought they made a mistake but they told me that the company that used to make them sold out and a new company was making them that is why they are a differant color. I have been taking ambien or zolpidem for years. This time I was given mylan. Is this the same thing? ## Mylan is the name of a drug manufacturer, not a medication. Can you please post back with the markings on the medication in question? Will this OTC sleep aid show positive on a drug screen for a new job? ## Hi Tony, With over-the-counter medications, you generally don't need to worry about drug tests. However, because false positives are so common now-a-days, I would actually suggest letting the lab know what you're taking prior to the test, just to play it safe. It may not even matter though, because Alteril contains natural plant based ingredients, which to my knowledge, shouldn't even trigger anything. My dr prescribed this pill and told me it's a sleeping pill to help me sleep better and relax but looking it up doesn't say anything about being a sleeping pill. So I'm just confused as to what it could be? ## Is the marking on it P 127 or R 127? A tablet with R 127 on it is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 0.1mg of Clonidine which has many medical uses, including treating high blood pressure, anxiety, ADHD, and sleep disorders. What is the active ingredient of this tablet? How many of zolfresh 10mg are considered a normal dose? ## Hi Navi, I'd sure like to hope that you're not "that person" overdosing on Zolfresh. Based on my research, 10 mgs daily of the immediate release formula is the maximum recommended dose of Zolfresh (Zolpidem). There's really no good reason for a person to take anything over that; especially 50x that!! According to a drug monograph on wikipedia, an overdose of Zolpidem may lead to too much sedation as well as impaired respiratory function. Either of these could potentially develop into a coma, & in some cases death.
