A week or week and a half ago I was sure I was having a heart attack and my girlfriend took me to the ER. After a quick exam he realized I was just having a panic/anxiety attack. He asked if I had any issues with bad anxiety on a regular or daily basis and I told him no, he assured me I was fine but I was still symptomatic. He said that he was going to get someone to bring me something to calm me down and He went to find the nurse and about 10 minutes later she (alone btw) returned with two .5mg Xanax (alprazolam) in a little cup and some water and told me that if I didn't get any better to come back. Today, however, I had to take a hellacious 14 panel drug screen to receive my surface mining safety card (landed a great paying coal mining job but a 4 day course was required). It was taken at a collection agency and mailed off to be tested. I'm not sure if I'll fail or not but if so how can I prove that I was given this by a doctor for a severe panic attack without prescription or bottle as proof? I have my paper that I got when checking out but it says nothing of my treatment. I live in Kentucky btw. I've googled for hours and can't find a single thread regarding this situation. If anyone has ANY useful information you may just save my job that I've been working on getting for 6 months. PLEASE HELP !!!

Very simple, just go to the ER that treated you and ask for a complete copy of your medications and treatment. It may take a while for them to gather and/or they may send you to their administrative offices where records are retrieved. But please do not lose your job, let them know what happened, what you were prescribed at a medical facility and you should be okay.
The lab called me about it, when you show up positive they call you to see if you have a prescription and I told her what happened and she called he hospital and confirmed, got my job but I was nervous as hell for a week lol. Thanks a lot
You should be able to just contact the hospital and get a report from them, if necessary, that shows what they gave you and why.
All hospitals are required to keep records of all medications they give to a patient they treat for many years after you've been seen. They are your medical records and you have a full right to them, though they can charge you a fee for makings copies of any documentation you may need.
Learn more Alprazolam details here.
Additionally, you should have received discharge paperwork that documents why you were seen and what medications you were given.
Have you tried contacting the hospital?
