My prescription states 3 once daily for 3 days, do I take all three at one time or 3 thru out the day? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? I understand your confusion. Hello. I m Avni,age 19, suffered from bloody stools for 2 days before a month and was given antibiotic and laxative thenafter i suffered from gas/acidity while my laxative was on. I had nausea vomiting during that time and then suffered from diarrhoea and nausea continued. My blood and stool reports were normal. I was told it may be due to some infection or overdose of laxative. I was given prebiotics and symptomatic treatment for nausea and gas,etc. My sonography reports were even normal. I'm confused ...I thought Northstar was the more effective brand of Sertraline, but now I'm finding it's not helping. Is Green Mt. a better Sertraline brand? My client was taking sertraline G4960/25mg and then her pharmacy switched to lud01. She reports it works differently - makes her angry and agitated. Four days ago after suffering server anxiety I took 100mg one day and 75mg the next.Due to feeling very spaced out and sick I have gone back to 50mg but still feel dizzy and sick. I am a doctor but not a psychiatrist my relative was taking quitipin for 2 years along with sertraline she was suffering from anxiety disorder. She stopped sertraline after 1 and half year and then quitipin after 2 years. It was stopped suddenly and then she had insomnia for 3 weeks , she also went through a very stressful period after that in her family life. Can Sertraline 100 mg tablets be cut in to four pieces and still be effective? My doctor has given me the okay to try different dosages. 50 mg is not enough and I would like to try 75 mg but Sertraline does not come in that dosage. I have 100 mg tablets and want to break them in half and then cut some of the havles in half to get 75 mg. Will doing this cause a problem with how effective the medication is? ## No, it isn't time released, so cutting them won't have an effect on the efficacy and make them more or less effective. However, there are 25mg tablets, so it may be easier to see if your doctor can prescribe a weeks worth of them to take with half of one of the others. If you can, it is best to taper slowly, to prevent the worst of the withdrawal effects.
