Scared Of Sub W/ds

Hello. I'm 22 years old and I'm down to my last piece of suboxone. It's a bittersweet feeling because I am so sick of being on it! I've been planning to quit but I'm so deathly afraid of the wds. I was a heavy oxycodone user since I was 18 and have been on sub's for 2 years. I used to take 8 MG's and have currently been on 2mg for about 7-8 months. All the stories I've read makes me even more nervous. My problem is the depression and anxiety you feel from it. Does that ever get better? Even after the withdrawals pass? Pleaseee help. I'm a fulltime worker and can't take lots of time off in order to detox at home!

Hello, Linseylee! How are you doing?
It would be best to get medical help with this issue.
But yes, the symptoms you asked about, such as the depression and anxiety do get better, it just takes a little bit of time. You may experience it for a month, or more.
However, if they get severe and you feel you may be in danger, please seek immediate medical attention.
The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Unfortunately, I'm not prescribed. I get them from a friend and am down to my last 1mg slice that I'll take tomorrow. I'm going to try to stick it through at work on Friday and I'm freaking out about it. Will my wds be extreme?
Unfortunately, I don't have them prescribed to me. I have been buying them off someone for all this time. I took like 1mg today and will take the last piece tomorrow. I've read the Thomas recipe and will try to do that. I'm just freaking out about work on Friday, when I no longer have any more. Do you think the withdrawals will be unbearable? Thanks for all your help!!!
Lindseylee79...that is way to high to jump off. Go back to Dr and get another 2week supply. You need to taper ever 7 days. Start with 1.5 for 7 days then 1x7 days. Then .75x7days, .5 x7 days. Now when you get to this point you can jump off, however that was still way to high for me. I tapered all the way down to .06. When you do stop you will need something for restless legs but should be able to work. Now if your like me insomnia might be an issue.
