Sandoz Clonazepam

Updated

I hope that I can save just even one person from taking clonazepam. The FDA doesn't protect us from these pharmaceutical companies. I've been living in pure hell for months due to bad batches of clonazepam being sold in our local pharmacies. Google FDA warnings to Sandoz. That's all it is, a warning not a recall.

Dear Sandra,

Sorry to hear about your reaction to Sandoz Clonazepam. If you're able to, I'd encourage you to file a detailed report through the FDA's MedWatch program at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch. This may help get your voice heard among other patients who reported similar experiences. I'd also let them know that their drug approval process could use a facelift and perhaps a complete overhaul of whatever protocols they use for evaluating drug safety.

It's truly unfortunate that doctors are working with these drug companies to push meds that in many cases cause more harm than the initial diagnosis they're prescribed to treat. At the same time, we as consumers and patients must wake up to the notion that our American healthcare industry is for-profit and not for-people. Opting for a natural approach to such treatment is (in my opinion) the only way to subvert their agenda. This is not to say that all pharmaceuticals are bad, for they have their purpose, but I don't think it should be a first line of treatment when safer options are more readily available.

Hi David, Thank you for your reply. I have contacted both Sandoz and the FDA. Sandoz sent me a letter denying it and I never heard back from the FDA after two reports with different lot numbers. It's true not enough people file complaints, or just end up with the same replies as me or are ignored. And these pharmaceuticals companies are only given warning letters but not much else is done about it. The almighty dollar is their only interest. Again thanks for caring. God Bless

I have used clonazepam for years for bipolar disease and panic attacks. I have taken generic Teva most of the time and like it best, even better than brand name. A few months ago , I got Sandoz generic, because that is what the pharmacy had. The Sandoz worked fine for me. Just my experience.

I'm glad that the Sandoz is working for you. It's worked great for me for years. You are probably just lucky to get a good batch. Recently they are very inconsistent. Each lot number I've gotten lately all have been horrible. Good luck.

Have you thought of asking your pharmacy to order another brand for you, like Teva or another generic brand? I have had the same problem with oxycodone. Different generic brands are different. I got one generic, which did nothing, so I know what you are going through.

Yes, I have already tried two other brands. Unfortunately they are not working well for me. : ( I have not been myself for months. I feel like my life is over. I have always been extra sensitive to medications. I'm feeling very down right now. And I have gone through many trials in my life but never anything like this. Thanks for your concern.

It's the 0.5 mgs that are the really horrible ones. Someone else told me that the 1mgs were still good. I was trying to confirm it. Thanks so much

My husband takes clonazapam and has for few years.. Was prescribed for restless legs. His is 10mg. What are the side effects you are having?

There are no 10 mg clonazepam. Must be 1 mg. All brands do not work the same. Mine are 0.5 mg. they are making me feel very nervous. It's the manufacturers that continuous change the ingredients then denie it. Best of luck to your husband. This medication is very hard to get off of. If he decides to discontinue taking it please let a doctor know so that he can gradually stop taking it.

Oh no silly me I made an error .. It is .05 mg. and he can take 2, if needed, is how it's written.. I looked at it again and I also saw TEVA.. Being I myself don't take it, never have taken it, it's hard to determine how it effects him..he takes his at night.. It does make him sleepy.. I really wonder if it was the correct choice of meds for his legs ... ? I may be talking to doc about stopping it/ or another choice.

Faith 2113, Sandoz clonazepam is definitely not the same! Maybe try Mylan. Report it to the FDA they didn't believe me. If enough people report it just maybe they will do something about it. We can only hope. At this point it's to late for me they have totally ruined my life. Ended up with a stroke trying to get off their crap. Be all so careful.

He did come off it by tapering the dose. But he has not been the same since he came off it!! He has anxiety and is depressed! Short temper! He argued or raged and screamed at our 21 year old granddaughter and then to my horror he struck her in the face!!! She automatically reacted by busting him in the nose with her fist! I was a basket case cried and cried over that! They both apologized later! But she will never forget that for rest of her life! I believe it was caused because of being off that awful medicine!! He doesn't sleep at night now up and down all night! Disturbing my sleep too! I just don't know what to do! When I try to tell the doctor how he is HE makes me out like I am lying and tells doc he is fine! Help

O Lord, I hope you can find a place where he can go for detox... these drug manufacturers are pathetic. Or maybe he will just need to stay on it. That's what I've had to do because it's impossible to get off of it. Blessings

Please look up clonazepam withdrawal symptoms. That's what is happening to your husband. Please seek medical attention. These pharmaceutical companies keep changing ingredients causing withdrawal while still on it. The same thing happened to Faith 2113 because Sandoz and the other pharmaceutical companies can't be trusted.

Please seek medical advice from a medical detox professional! That is, if you can find one. I've tried for months and couldn't find one until I finally ended up with a stroke that ruined my vision and my life Don't take matters into your own hands. Blessings!

I've never had a problem with Sandoz brand since day one of taking over 10 years ago. Sometimes when you switch from one type to another can react in a different way. Even if they all say they are made the same they truly aren't. My friend who's a nurse has seen so many persons react differently to drugs. Example for myself when I was taking Prozac I could only take the real deal, generic never worked. They tried 4 types, I was able to get the real Prozac for the same price under my insurance plan because of this.

Re: Ron (# 33) Expand Referenced Message

If you have your doctor fill out a pre-authorities for insurance and you can get the ODT’s oral disintegrating tabs, they melt on top tongue in a second without water. My doctor said I had a problem swallowing pills, and insurance approved it ASAP. But in reality I can swallow tabs, just prefer these! Seem a lot more potent. And taste like strawberry kool-aid!! But need pre-auz because of the price is few hundred compared to $25.

I ran out of Teva.5's and got Sandoz instead I guess because Teva stopped making Klonopin, they made me sick! Terrible product should be taken off market!

Re: Sandra (# 25) Expand Referenced Message

Wish my insurance would just cover the real Klonopin brand name by Roche. But they are really expensive for real ones with the K cut out on the middle. These generic ars mostly junk. Sometimes I get I get a good script. I like the oral distrigrating tabs, taste like strawberries.

Re: Bunk clonazepam (# 29) Expand Referenced Message

It's not so much your pharmacy that's the problem, it's how these pharmaceuticals companies are producing their products. They can only purchase what the pharmaceutical companies are producing, with no knowledge that they are not of any good quality. In the last few years Sandoz has dangerously produced unacceptable clonazepam and God knows what else. I had the worst reaction to whatever it is that Sandoz is producing these days and I was picking up my prescription from a reputable pharmacy.
