Soma 350mg With Imprints Of Sg 109 (Page 2)
UpdatedJust received my refill of soma 350mg but they look different than the ones I am used to getting from the same pharmacy. No read out was put in the bag. The white round pill had a SG 109 on one side & blank on the other side. Anybody ever heard of these before? Because, since there was no print out of the new different medication I was a little worried, "what if the pharmacist made a little error in mine & somebody else's medications". Thanks for any feedback.
Re: Pseudonymish (# 13)
I noticed this too and talked to my doctor about switching pharmacies, as their vendors differ. I think it's the coating put over the pill to make it easier for swallowing that I didn't like. It doesn't metabolize as easily as the chalky tablets, so my doctor suggesting crushing it first with the back of a spoon. It has helped some, but sure is bitter going down.
Re: Kathy (# 4)
They do NOT work at all. I mean whatsoever! I have refills @ the pharmacy i filled my prescription at & if they cant/wont give me a different brand im definitely having my prescription transferred to a different pharmacy.
Re: Sherry (# 8)
Yes, it is likely $. I worked at an independent pharmacy, and we always ordered the least expensive meds, even if it was a penny cheaper. But for Soma, we also always carried DAN. These were often demanded, so the owner simply charged more.
Re: ballyhoo girl (# 21)
I wound up switching pharmacies. I did try crushing the pills, and taking them on an empty stomach with some cola, which usually helps get meds into my system faster, but they still didn't work as well as Qualitest. In fact, I swear this brand heightened my anxiety, possibly because I knew they weren't working. Anyway, I was able to get the Qualitest the following month, however, something was off with those too. It turns out Qualitest was bought out by Par pharmaceuticals, and though the pills looked the same, they most definitely were not equal to what I had been getting, so I called around and found the pharmacy that stocks Watson/Actavis, the DAN pills, and I haven't had any issues since. I'm surprised actually, as these seem to work consistently without fail.
Re: Kathy (# 4)
actually these are not bad and qualitest are not the best they are the cheapest so this is why most pharmacies carry them it saves them money the quaintest soma. i took it for years before switching back to the dan 5513 somas which are best so far but there are a lot of generics now but watson activas soma is by far better than quailitest i took qualitest for years then made switch to the dans which are and seem to be usa best generic
Re: Pamela (# 20)
they are now owned by activas which still uses the watson formulation just ask for activas next fill and you will get the dans watson formulation
Re: Con con (# 18)
believe it or not but i do like the sg 109 compared to qualitest but watson-activas is still best
Re: Lin (# 17)
lin what brand is the normal brand to you that u r used to taking ?
Re: EDDY (# 10)
they are actually made by SciGen. everyone eddy and vernon are on almost every thread on the whole site take what they say as u wud take it from a doc they are pharma trolls and tell us stuff we already no not the feedback we r looking for waste of thread spread enough is enough eddy and vernon feedback is what we want not doc statements
Re: Kathy (# 4)
sg 109 are not made out of country in india they are USA made right in new york didn't think soma users would think so low of this generic, it is better than qualitest imo qualitest flood the pharmacies because they are cheaper. follow the money guys
Re: Jack (# 12)
exactly the sg 109 are made in new york and a re decent somas im surprised reading all the thoughts on this generic
Re: Jack (# 12)
To everyone here there are over 10 generic somas what are balls favorites? I get the dan watson but always willing to try a new kind!? would love to hear great feedback but not by eddy or vernon
Pharmacy shop [by phone], call and ask what manufacturer AFTER you do your online homework.
ALL GENERICS ARE NOT THE SAME!
Re: goozer (# 32)
Qualitest worked better for me than dan. dan was "light" and short acting. Qualitest no longer makes these. I can go to PAR, Vensun, or Dan. That's all that's available here. Anyone try "446" by SUN? More important, ANYONE else try the PAR 2410 V? How did it work for you? I hate that India makes most of our generics. I've only came across 2 medicines from there that worked.
Re: Dawn (# 15)
ScieGen... Absolutely useless Try DAN-5513 ..good luck
Re: Jack (# 12)
You must not depend on your medication to keep you walking or the ability to have any semblance of quality in life. I farm for a living and my lively hood depends on me being able to function at a high level. Animals depend on me. Not to state the obvious but I’m also quite fond of the ability to walk. This is absolutely the worst crap I’ve ever had to deal with. Watch out for this brand. Call the manufacturer and complain! They will either do it right or go out of business. The power to change is in our hands. No customers equals no paycheck for them.
Re: EDDY (# 1)
Hi Eddy. I live in California and all Walgreens are short on Carisprodol. I usually get the ones that have DAN and I finally got SG 109. Where do they come from? I have to get prescription phoned to a health warehouse in another state.. I am frustrated. These different. I think they have aspirin in them and where is Sciegen manufacturing located? Help!! Sue
Re: Sue (# 37)
Sue, here is the latest FDA news on the Carisprodol shortage. While Gonzer the original poster has continuously spread misinformation, please use the following document to help you with your SOMA needs!
accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/drugshortages/dsp_ActiveIngredientDetails.cfm?AI=Carisoprodol
I just got some at a California Rite Aid and the SG 109 is all I've seen recently. Look I don't know how to read this, and I do think Gonzer is out of line for saying terrible things about Verwon & myself but the FDA appears to say there might be a shortage.
Re: Beatrix (# 36)
Hey jack? Try speaking in complete sentences and you might it’s cute to be vague, but you sound ridiculous. Spit it out for goodness sakes.
Re: Kathy (# 3)
Soma is meant for SHORT TERM USE, not long term as Valium or flexerall.
I get about 30 every 6 mos or so, use them when I have to keep moving and they do not interfere at a low dose( 1/4pill) in my activity level( fatigue)
I’ll be on these meds a long time for anklosing spondylitis and cervical stenosis so I’m not trying to pollute my body till I , am told, gets worse as fusions persist. Mobility helps more than the muscle relaxers so I only take them when I’m having a down day and can relax and let them do THIER job, which is how they are supposed to be used. ( SOMA)
Due to this, I find them working fine when I do need them. Weak muscles hurt more and the more fatigued you get from relaxers, the worse it gets..
