Running Out Of Norco

I'm taking Norco 10/325 for chronic back pain. I've run out . Is there anything OTC that is strong enough to get rid of the pain. At least til my next refill

Unfortunately no, the strongest thing available over the counter, in the U.S., is Aleve, which is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation.

However, it is nowhere near as potent as the Hydrocodone in Norco and may not be safe for you to take.

How often do you run out early?

Thank u for ur reply Verwon. This was the first time...I'm moving and my back is worse than b,4. I took more so I can continue to do what I needed to do.

I have been on norco 7.5 for a legitimate spinal injury. I see my doctor every month, take random U/A's and pill counts all of which I have no problem with, as I take my script correctly. I have been on the same dosage long-term and I don't need to take more or stronger meds, however without them I would be disabled and I'm 51.

Today I tried to fill my script where I always fill it and they are out of stock- I proceeded to go to 6 additional pharmacies as I work tomorrow and now I am out.

MY SCRIPT IS LEGIT, I AM PRODUCTIVE, THIS MED IS CURRENTLY LEGAL AND NOT ONLY AM I AFRAID THE PAIN I KNOW I WILL WAKE WITH, the anxiety is setting in with how my body will process this sudden "stop" of this med.

I understand the opioid crises, I really do... but right now this is the only type of med that is tried n true for my condition.

The government I believe is now inserting itself and hindering my care, my condition and my relief, not to mention the odious threat of suddenly stopping meds.
