My wife was taken off Respidol and is showing signs of depression and shakes. ## Are you referring to the drug Risperdal, the antipsychotic? If so, then these are normal withdrawal effects. Usually, a person is tapered off of this type of medication. ## my husband has recently been diagnosed with bi polar and he is also a diabetic...insulin dependent..the doctors put him on depakote and another pill to take at night...ive noticed since then that he is unusually paranoid of everything i do or anything that is around him...he seen a doctor today and informed them of this paranoia and they put him on respidol..i am very concerned of all these meds he is taking and im wondering if one med is gonna lead to another med..and so on and so on...

How many mgs of Risperdal Consta are released daily from the 2 week shot of 12.5? Additionally my son had an awful reaction to Invega when it first came out. So far so good on the Risperdal Consta. I was just wondering if he transitions to the Invega Sustenna (4 week) dose would that be any different and why? ## There are 2 mgs released daily in the 12.5 two week shot. My son also had a miserable reaction to the Invega when it first came out although it's supposed to filter thru the kidneys and therefore be easier on the liver. After the 4th week he wants to take the Invega Sustenna too & I'm scared because when any medication is changed there are problems. I am also a mother of two toddlers. Please do a lot of investigation before giving your 5 yr. old such powerful mind altering medication. The medical community is still unclear about the long term effects of mind altering drugs on the developing brain. Basically, we don't know how these drugs are going to change your child brain when it is still growing. In this day and age children are being more diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Okay, Hi. My name is Emily. I am 14. I used to take Risperdal, and it put me to sleep, however, I had never gotten my period yet. So letting you know. My other conditions are ADD obviously, OCD (it's slight though) and ODD. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, anxiety, muscle stiffness and tremors. ## Respadol is not for everone. My wife had trauma induced dementia and was in a rehab facility. She was given respadol and was asleep for the next three days. After she was transferred to the main hospital, she suffered from severe dehydration. I almost lost her. She is one that cannot take respadol.

50 yr old male taking residol and other meds. began getting a forward backward spasm like a whip lash movement dr. appt. on monday could it be a bad reaction to respidol? ## Just to double check ... I think you mean Risperdal ? If so, muscle stiffness and pain are listed as possible side effects of this medication. So based on what you are reporting, it certainly sounds like a possibility. risperdal an antipsychotic not sure of mg ## This is a 1mg Risperidone tablet, generic for Risperdal, these is a very potent antipsychotic medication, also sometimes used to treat severe cases of insomnia. are respiridol and risperdal one and the same? ## After gathering information on this drug, I found they are one in the same. Risperdal is the definitive name used by the manufacturer. I would assume the name Respiridol came simply from mispronunciation, as it is not reflected in my research. I found a pill which is kind of oval shaped. On 1 side it says 'PATR' and on the other side it says 'R 3'. It is yellow. ## I was not able to locate PATR R 3, I did find R 3 with JANSSEN, Click here to see a picture of the pill.
