Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 9)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

CAN I GET XANAX FILLED EARLY AT WALLGREENGS I TAKE 1 MG 2 TWICE A DAY PRESCRIPTION IS 60 PILLS FOR 30 DAYS 2 DAYS EARLY GO OUT TOWN

No you can't, but you should be able to get it filled at the closest Walgreens' one time if needed.

I know this is an old post, and maybe no one will ever see this, but I felt the need to clarify something. Narcotics are opiates. Drugs other than narcotic analgesics shouldn't be considered narcotics. That being said, there are many other drugs that are considered controlled substances; benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and amphetamines, to name a few.

My doctor did write a new one with the new dosage and walmart would not fill it

Why? Its the old one they can no longer fill. Perhaps it was too soon but they should have filled it?

Carry. If u didn't use Ur insurance and payed cash they can't track it.

This is not true. Once your name, DOB and address that is listed on the script it is placed in the PMP system and will be tracked and shown who prescribe you the medicine, what was prescribed, the date and time, how much prescribed and which pharmacy you used, as well as method of payment.

i get 120 xanax bars, 90mg adderall, 3x a day, and subutex 90 8 mg pills, and because i dont have a drivers license i get them at least a week early because i tell them ill run out and have none until the weekend because I work too late. So Jewel fills my xanax whenever i want. Last month was 8 days early, today 6

In Tampa around 11/2014 I had 3 refills on my xanax/alprazolam . My shrink from Co wrote this script, I was able to transfer it to CVS near Wesley Chapel. Also I don't have any problems getting that nor my klonopin/ clonazepam filled. It's my pain meds I've had some. Difficulty but now I am an established patient / customer . It seems as though they order just enough for the ppl who live close to the pharmacy..Sorry if I was off topic somewhat. I just wanted to share an experience.

I d be scared to fill early. Especially this day and age and the way the laws are be careful not to lose your Dr. And scripts.. Period..my saying is Just because you can ( do something) doesn't mean its a good idea. I mean that in general not saying anyone in particular! Heck I give / take that advice to myself

In Fl.on3/2015 Dr gave me a refill on my xanax/alprazolam. So things are so strict here I was surprised he put a refill on it...

Its not that scary, even allowed by most insurance companies. Nothing worse than losing your final refill because the 6 months has expired. I always try to fill early to have a buffer. The Doctor does not know, the pharmacy does and yes sometimes they will give you a hard time, even telling you to leave and come back another day!

Ann I have to agree Walgreens is horrible they have a filling policy a checklist . You can google Walgreens GoodFaith Filling policy. Some Walgreens lie about it, some say they dont have it. Once you've been turned away from one Walgreens you will be turned away from all. So that will dave you time not going to another Walgreens,because you're going to get the same answer. Walgreens is giving out a bad medication By activis its percocet 10/325 . I got a bottle of something it was not percocet....i was screwed out of a month of meds. I don't wish this on anyone that's y I am posting this as much as possible...Id leave Walgreens alone if you can. I'm sure not all their meds are placebo or plain Tylenol, but if they have the nerve and are that inconsiderate and dong give a crap about us.

BL thank you for the info. Carla wow...5 years of prob., I am sorry to hear that. That's why I just wouldn't do it. Just wait as long as you can to get it filled. Break them in 4. I notice my body is dependent and about 6 hours my anxiety increases vs Clonazepam. I need to dose every 8-10 hours. Both work great for my anxiety.

I changed states late 2014. I was going to the county mental health in Co and I went through the required process to get set up here in Fl . To my disbelief I got to the shrink ( stand in shrink to fill in so you dont run out) they didn't have my records didn't request them. They denied me clonazepam and xanax I've been on for 14 years ( not proud to say) but I went to my Gp and he wrote for me he decresed my dose which I ok with me, who knows what would have happened if my GP didn't help me. As I look at this situation and all stories shared I am going to find a psychiatrist now because I won't be surprised if the law does change. It's hard finding a psychiatrist that takes Medicare, but my pcp told me to switch to humans so I wont have co pays with him. Hopefully I can find a psychiatrist with the Humana..

You're sol unfortunately. I went from 2mg per day to 1mg per my request to see if I could ween off of it. One didn't cut it and had a few days where I took an extra half. Long story short, they didn't refill it and three days later I had a withdrawal seizure.
