I have been prescribed 20mg tablets of pulmison for 3 days only

On sunday I went to the emergency unit for consultation because I could not breathe properly and had chest pains on my left side from neck down the back ! I was given "pulmonary20mg to take once a day for 3 days , and I would like to know what it is for and its importance.

I all of a suddenb have a very sensitive feelinf inside my mouth. At fist I thought its because of eating very salty biltong but it even feels my lips are swollen. My dr gave me pulmison 20Mg. Will this help and cure my mouth

I was prescribed pulmison at 30 MG per day for 5 days in conjunction with the antibiotic, Ketek 800 mg per day. It was given to me as I started showing symptoms of a persistent influenza doing the rounds and as my wife is in hospital with pneumonia any chance of influenza needed to be suppressed. Generally my reaction to antibiotics is positive. Can the Pulmison show any negative reaction for this short period?

Pulmison contains the active ingredient Prednisone, this is a Corticosteroid used mostly for its immunosuppressant properties, to treat allergic reactions and swelling.
