Hello. I have the Jadelle implant. Today I went in to get provera to stop spotting. On the provera information sheet it says to use other non-hormonal forms of contraception. Does this apply to the Jadelle? My question is if I have the jadelle implant and I take the provera, do I have to use any other form of contraception? (I'm in a long term monogamous relationship with a proven clean partner). I hope it's not too silly a question.

Hi, I am a 30 year old mother of two with a tubal ligation. I have been having horrible abdominal pain after intercourse and have always had really heavy heavy periods that are irregular and clotty and very painful. Had an ultrasound done. So they didn't find anything except that I had a very thick endometrium. Would a thick endometrium cause pain after intercourse? The pain lasts well into the next day. Sometimes I have pain when I haven't had intercourse as well. It is doubled over pain that lasts up to 24-48 hours (I have a high tolerance for pain and never go to the doctor). Anyway, the doctor prescribe me Provera to help them out my endometrium. I understand how it synthetic progestin can do this but what I don't understand is why the doctor told me I will never have a ...

I had some sore boobies for about a week are so but nothing serious. Now the second month I am getting nausea and if I don't eat often it gets worse. I am 56 and I have been taking eostrogen hrt for 6 months. My dr prescribed privera 1/2 pil daily last week to induce bleeding. I am now housebound, cannot work and bleeding profusely with chronic period pain & nausea for the past week. She suggested taking 3x pils each day for 3 days & see what happens. Im worried this will increase the bleeding. I stopped taking it 48 hrs ago and the bleeding is worse. Does anyone know how long this can go on? I think night sweats were much easier to deal with and I'll go back to natural treatments. ## Hello, Victoria! How are you? How long had it been that you'd not had a period? The problem is that in many cases using estrogen only HRT causes your uterine lining to build up to thickly, which is why it's necessary to induce bleedi...

Was prescribed for heavy vaginal bleedingand irregular periods. ## HOW WILL PROVERA HELP ME WITH HEAVY BLEEDING, CLOTTING TAKEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH OVRAL? ## Provera contains a synthetic form of Progesterone, which is a hormone vital to the female menstrual cycle. In many cases, issues such as amenorrhea, PMS, PCOS/PCOD and the symptoms associated with perimenopause/menopause are caused by a deficiency in it. Thus, supplementing it back can help correct the issues. You can learn more Provera details here. Since this one is a synthetic form, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes and headache. And something such as Ovral is often given to help try to keep your hormones regulated long-term, once you are finished with the Provera. Are there any comments and qu...

how long after taking my last pill will my birth control kick back in? ## There is still ongoing debate on whether or not Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim will affect hormonal contraceptives, so most doctor's advise using back up protection, until you have been done taking it for a full 7 days. However, if you are on the shot, I haven't been able to find any direct information on it, so you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Did you doctor provide any information on it?
