Propranolol Hydrochloride 40 Mg For Weaning Off Xanax

I was told that people who are addicted to Xanax can be weaned off of it with this Propranolol Hydrochloride 40 mg pill marked "40 Dan 5556". Is this a true fact? What all is Propranolol used for?

Yep. I did it in detox after taking 5 bars a day for 7 years. It only took me 5 days to get completely off Xanax. No rebound nothing.

No, that’s Propafenone. I take it to control A-Fib and it works better than any other cardiac medication I’ve been prescribed.

Really? I once got off a 120, 2mg 4x a day after being on it for ten years w Librium. It wasn’t bad at all. Librium is the best tapering method and it was used at a detox in 2011. So look that up. I still take Xanax cuz I love it. It helps me work better, I’m 36, life is good, been in IT for 15 years. So don’t bag on Xanax . Jus because people don’t know how to correctly use it. But try Librium.

Wrong. He died from PROFANOL (so?) not PROPANOLOL, which is a High Blood Pressure. You just got the two mixed up!

Whoever posted the librium to get off benzos in 5 days was absolutely correct. It was the first benzo and the strongest....but has a half life of a week (long time) it worked for me in detox. It was like I never took a benzo

No it is NOT! I used to take this for high blood pressure, it's a beta blocker. You are confusing this drug with a different class all together. It's also used off label to help with tension & migraine headaches, but don't know about helping with detox. I would not recommend it.

RB is correct, Propranolol is a beta blocker, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and other cardiac issues. However, due to the way it works in the body, it can also have a calming, sedative-like effect, in some people that take it, so it is sometimes prescribed to help with anxiety, medication withdrawals, and pre-surgical anxiety.

Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

However, it is not an anesthetic.

It's a beta 2 blocker and will help slow the heart rate down if it is beating too fast.

Michael Jackson died from it. It is an anesthetic for surgeries. MJ on top of Valium and dillaudid shots he got from dr Conrad Murray. He went to jail for four years. I’ve never heard of anybody using it, for the help or getting off Xanax. It really takes 5 days if you ween w the first benzo ever made called Librium. I got off Xanax In 5 days at a detox. I couldn’t believe it w no side effects or rebound anxiety
