I'm told that since the Watson company was sold, that their name would not be on the promethazine + codeine prescription anymore. Is that true? ## @Jabnet, Interestingly enough, even though Watson is now known as Actavis, for the longest time I've continued to see the Watson logo still depicted on many of their tablets. However, what makes this even more confusing is that as of August 2016, Actavis was acquired by Teva; so it would probably be difficult to tract down the Watson name on various products if they keep passing the baton from one company to the next every few years. Furthermore, Teva's webpage lists their promethazine and codeine as separate meds (not as a combination product).
