Prolia Side Effects (Page 66)
UpdatedI would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.
Some more side effects developed: Mild fatty liver, high cholesterol and a bladder issue which I didnot have these problem before.
Hi Canadian,
She is near Toronto. There appears to be very little help offered as her body can not tolerate almost all medications. I prefer not to give details here because they are negative and would not inspire others. I am very happy Pood has been of help to you and many others I know. I have not encouraged my sister to follow this site because knowing her so well it would not be a positive for her. The problem Canadian is that many of the side effects of this horrible drug can take over your body so in fact they never go away. It has been mentioned a few times on this site that many have died from their side effects. My sister came very close last April but survived. She is very weakened from infections which attack any weak areas in her body (pancreas, heart, eyes, throat, etc.) as she has virtually no immune system. There appear to be many levels of side effects from none to death. Some side effects last 6 months and start to go away others never leave. Canadian you will learn your body through this experience and you will be your best healer.
C. Louise~it is filed in a Court, with Prolia, most probably in CA since that is where they are. The only people that know who join are the attorneys and the judge. They keep them quiet to keep out the press. There are legal fees involved but if we got sufficient people here and they also announced it via TV more and more people would join to lessen expenses if we happened to lose which is very unlikely as we even have the FDA on our side now. No one would know who did what. Merck has been sued various times and we never know who the victims were. It would be the same with Prolia. I told them we had a Forum full of injured women from Prolia. They called me every day wanting a number and I kept ducking their calls. I finally had to answer and said we don't have sufficient at this time. I also joined one in NY with a company that was doing shady business practices a number of years ago. All said and done, my name was never mentioned that I know about nor did I receive any compensation or spent one cent as that was not my goal. They were enjoined from doing what they had been doing to people and that's all I wanted. I received one piece of paper with the Judge's ruling which made me happy. Maybe in a few months we can try again after people have had time to think it through. Hugs~Pood
Canadian~have you sent all your side effect information to HealthCanada yet. They are your version of the FDA in the US. They control which drugs are used in Canada and the FDA has been busy putting more warning labels on Prolia. Hopefully, you can get that done in Canada too. Hugs~Pood
Sheri~what are they going to do about it?
Skitty~This is the one that tells the truth. Good Work Lady!!!!! Has all the deaths listed, etc. It's a gold mine for people on Prolia.
I don't know. My appt is in May. I'm frustrated with being so sick from the medication.
Jan, of course, your blood pressure has risen with all the water retention. That squeezes the blood and it cannot travel as fast through your body as it should. The excess water makes it difficult for the blood to circulate to the heart and back. I think you can buy some OTC water pills. Have no idea of if they work. Please take Magnesium at night - 300-500 mg. That will stop the muscle cramps. I still get them even now in my ankles so I've gone back to my Magnesium. I even get them sometimes on the day and it's a lot of fun on a phone call where I have to say: Hold on a second I have to get up and walk. I have cramps in my ankles. Now that I'm back to magnesium every night they have stopped. This is a side effect of Prolia trying to get calcium out of our muscles. Wish I had never heard that word but we will get thru this. Get your docs in a row and get your supplements. Please have your calcium tested monthly. It can change over time and you want just a tiny bit high. With love~
Had to go for more blood this morning, sodium blood level low and liver enzymes a little high
Pood was defending herself and rightly so. You attacked her by saying she has turned the forum into her own personal chat room when in reality she is here helping people and she's trying to get a legal case going. I would echo her question as what exactly you're doing to help?
Sheri~Liver enzymes a bit high? Ask your Docs to please check your immunoglobulins as a couple of them could cause this. Have you had any trouble digesting food at all as that would be one of them as could just a series of infections for unknown reason except for dear poisonous Prolia, We know for a fact that Prolia messes up our immune system and the immunoglobulins (5) are what make up that system and give us our T-cells and T-cell helpers. As for salt, eat some. I personally hate it but our bodies do need a certain amount of it. You can add more salt to your diet even if you don't like it. When the immunoglobulins get off, they can throw the liver test higher. Eat some French fries with a lot of salt on them dipped in ketchup. That should bring your salt level back up to normal. Then, ask your Dr. to please run the blood test so you know exactly what you are up against. You are not an alcoholic or have other reasons to have your liver be off so it has to be from the immunoglobulins. When the liver gets 'overloaded' it will throw off some cells into our blood. It's an easy fix for them. Hugs~Pood
Canadian~if you check Prolia side effects you will see that all of those are directly related to Prolia. I was so hoping you would get well in your 6th month but it would seem as if you are going to be one of the 11 month people. Hopefully, it will let up some now and give you a little peace. I do hope you are not walking on that leg of yours. You are using a crutch, aren't you?? Praying for you~Pood
I never have a drink, bad acid reflux made extremely worse from Fosamax, Boniva and Prolia, I do not eat a lot and couldn't eat French fries without reflux going nuts, I have chicken broth and have been drinking Powerade but that makes me more thirsty, it is a vicious cycle, GP took more blood today and will call to see what is going on. Thanks for caring Pood, glad Canadian is back on site, it is depressing to all of us that our lives were turned upside down with this poison
Statin drugs are common in causing high liver enzymes also. I had that but went off the drug and my numbers corrected. Good luck
Sheri~then put a good pinch salt and a pinch of baking soda in your broth. That should equalize some of what's going on but do make sure they run your immunoglobulins as they are our immune system and when Prolia screws them up all heck breaks loose in the human body. Mama Bear Pood
I used to be on Lipitor and had elevated liver enzymes but haven't been on for years, another medicine shouldn't been given, that caused me problems also
Thank you for your response. I am on blood pressure medication, and a RX water pill so i was disappointed to see it rise...
Pood, I hope this helps the lawsuit!
Skitty,
I tried to answer in message 1297 and possibly explain in1303. Maybe it is a good time to mention close family members of Prolia victims who suffer right along and feel so helpless. They are also suffering. My situation is further complicated by 1800 miles and different countries. My intention was to help but my comment about a personal chat line was unnecessary and harsh. Sorry
