I would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.

I'm telling you all DO NOT TAKE THIS SHOT!!! I've posted several times myself about my side effects and most are similar to what I'm reading. I have finally stopped itching from head to toe, but the dry skin is horrible. I feel like a aligator trying to shed my skin, I have seen a dermatoloogist and she put me on a cream that finally stopped the itching but the vanicream she prescribed is not helping the dry skin. I have been having all of the symptoms since my last shot in Nov. of last year. bone pain, horrible crick in my neck if I turn head the wrong way, it almost pulls me to the floor with the pain. I can't move for several minutes until it releases. I have NEVER had this before. My feet which fractured on their own are still very painful and my energy level is very poor. ya da ya da the list goes on! I'm so sorry for all that are suffering like myself and when I spoke with the FDA the gal could have cared less!! It is going to take a dramatic occurance before they pull this drug off of the market, I'm sorry to say. Good luck everyone, I know my symptoms are not as horrible as most but still the ones I do have really put a crimp in my lifestyle as I'm sure all of yours as well. Be well my friends.....Pam

Are you still okay about taking PROLIA, I'm suposed to start taking this drug, what do you think of it. Please respond as soon as possible. thank you

I had my first Prolia injection June 26, 2013. To date I have experienced severe left hip pain, sleeplessness, muscle aches and an increase in my already bad lower back pain. I was walking 6 days a week and now I am unable to move properly due to hip pain. My teeth began hurting yesterday and the level of pain has me concerned. At 57, I went from feeling good to falling apart.
I am a liver transplant patient and cancer survivor I am more than a little concerned that with an already compromised immune system, I was ok'd for Prolia. After fighting so hard to live I hope this first (and last!) injection of Prolia doesn't lead to my demise. (yes, I feel that bad)

I had my first Prolia injection on June 19th, 2013. On day 10 afterwards I was awakened to severe pain in my ribcage, to the point I could not breathe. Husband took me to the ER. Along with this pain was left arm pain and numbness. I thought I was having a hert attack. In the ER, blood pressure, EKG, and blood work was normal. I mentioned the Prolia injection. The drs called a 1-800 number and was told this was prolbably a reation to my injection. Since that day, I have experienced severe night sweats, shaking, right hip pain, and about 2 hours sleep a night. I am very very mad right now. my DR said she had heard nothing but good things about this drug. I will not get the second injection. She gve me a brochure to read, it told only good things. IF, and I mean IF you are thinking about trying the Prolia injection, please read all the info. research it, and then make your decision. What is the point of getting the shot if it decreases blood calsium? Thats like taking a heart med that causes a heart attck.

i have that too... floating in and out of vision, started about 6 weeks after injection and is getting worse... never a problem before, and others have mentioned it here too.

I have been taking Protos now for several years. No problems and my bone density is increasing every time I have a scan. Protos is Strontium Raelate and is taken every night with water. Its granules and tastes like nothing really, just water. Interesting to read you comments and my doctor has asked if I want to go on to the prolia injection

I have the floater in my eye along with many other horrible side effects I posted previously. Just didn't connect the floater. Thanks for posting. This December will be a year since I was given the Polia POISON. My doctor needs to take an injection and then tell me that Prolia is safe!!!!!

I was hoping that the horrible sideffects of PROLIA would stop after 6 months -I had a shot in May 2013. Unfortunately, this poison stays in the body for longer period of time. Although the intensity of sideffects has slightly decreased, but I still have a floater in my eye and continue having panes and aches in my bones and muscles. Hope one day it will leave my body for good!!!

Unfortunately, all these side effects take a long time to wear off ! Some never go away. In any case, it is POISON, to our systems, and they should have law suits brought against the company & doctors they con into giving out this medicine ! This is the worst drug I have ever taken. Every night my hips wake me up with pain ! And my body is always stiff and sore. Good Luck to all who take this drug, this is not a drug to take for anyone.

Has anyone had hair thinning since geting the prolia shot? I have read many of the postings on this site and have seen where two people have experienced hair thinning. Also, anyone with fibromyalgia, has there been an increase in pain associated with fibro?

Is there a Class Action Suit going on? I would certainly want to be included just to recoup
my ER expenses plus for info to others considering Prolia!

Are you positive that Prolia caused you all of these reactions? It is so scary. I have to make a decision of what to do for my osteoporosis and I am so afraid of more Prolia…..

Be afraid. I can not believe the scope of adverse side effects. I had thought mine were bad enough, be so of these here are horrifying.

I am positive Prolia caused my problems . First one in so much pain for 4 wks I could hardly get out of bed . Should have learnt from that . Then dentist told me in order to have any dental work would need to go in oxygen chamber . That put the fear of God in me . BUT trusting my doc knew best I did second shot ....2 wks later ended up in my family docs office for swollen leg , rectal bleeding and pneumonia . NEVER had any of this previously ....had doppler for leg , no blood clots , colonoscopy for rectal bleeding , nothing found . Been on oxygen since Oct . its now Feb . Do you get the connection from what dentist told me & the fact I have been unable to come off oxygen . YES I am a smoker and this will be blamed on my smoking . In 42 years that I have been smoking NEVER had pneumonia . I was never told this would take 18 months to leave my body . My doc knows I have always had weird side effects to meds . I thought at most 6 months till the time of next injection . Only found out on here it took 18 months . Now at this point this upsets me most and going to be eating & drinking lots of things to detox this poison from me sooner .

Yes DO NOT TAKE anymore PROLIA !!! Many I know have had necrosis and all the bad side effects people have listed before me ! I'm due for another shot of something, we had to wait 2 yrs. before another med for osteoporosis. Now the MD wants me to take RECLAST again ! But breaking the femur (long bone in leg) happens frequently, and then the jaw problems start. I never had a jaw problem since TMJ surgery in 1987, but since PROLIA, I've been having teeth pain, I need an implant (which I will not waste 3 grand on, as my tooth is in the back of my mouth. And who knows how long before I'll get osteonecrosis and lose more teeth ! The RECLAST has the exact same side effects as PROLIA, so I'm all messed up about what med to take anymore. I know RECLAST is used for chemo, in cancer patients, they just give me a lower dose, but it's still chemo !! Good Luck to all of us that are guina pigs for these meds ! The MD'S have no other med to offer except the cancer meds. Sad story !

I think that every body reacts differently. It's scary. It has been over 6 months since my only Prolia injection, although I am better, I am still afraid of any long term loss of health. Don't take any of this type of meds, there is not enough scientific trials to justify the negative side effects. Everyone impacted by Prolia should report it to the FDA and to the labs, as some day, we will be able to prove the harmful poison of this medicine. Have faith and remember that we are our best advocate for our health. Good luck.

My dentist told me , 18 months before prolia leaves body . UNLESS you go in hyperbariatric chamber . Only way to have dental work .

The side effects can last longer than 6 months. I am due for my third shot and am not going to have it. I have developed severe constipation, burning pain in both hips, eczema, low blood calcium. In my opinion the side effects appear to increase with each injection.

Its been 7 months since my second injection . Recently had very deep bone pain in my mouth . So bad I thought all my teeth would fall out . Kept rinsing with salt water and pain has gone away and still have teeth . Teeth are in good shape for 58 yrs old , it was bone pain , terrible terrible bone pain . At times just wanted to scream ! Just another side effect of this terrible medication .
