Prescribed Suboxone And Xanax (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. I have not tried them togather and am just seeking a second opinion. I have no intention to abusing either drug and will only take as perscribed. Also i have no tolerance to benzo. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear Dave, I'm on 24mg of suboxone a day. I take them at the same time in the morning. I also take a benzo (klonopin). I have panic attacks and anxiety. I take my klonopin about an hour after the suboxone. For me, this works great. I also take 1 in the afternoon and night. I'm prescribed 3 mg a day. My Dr told me I would have no problems. And, I haven't. I know other people who r on subs and benzodiazepines and they take them together with no problems either. I hope this helps u out.
I am also on suboxone with klonopin for panic disorder and zoloft for general anxiety disorder. Been on it all for 5 years. Wish I wasnt started on such a high dose of suboxone, I could have probably tapered off years ago, but my doctor started me on 24mgs. Way too high a dose becomes way too addictive. 8mgs or less is ideal for people who want to get off the suboxone eventually. Im not struggling at 4mgs 5 years later and all I think about is I wish I was back to 8mgs. I wish you luck in your recoveries and hope for the best. Stay strong. Us who were inducted an prescribed such a strong dosage will have to work extra hard to get off if thats what you want eventually.
I been adhd all my life now I i had a bad accident and have been on nerve fo18 years now in suboxone my doctor is going and I need to find another
Have seizures really bad that is what stops it
To Amanda Allen you didn't say what state or area you where from ? So maybe someone could tell you where to get started looking for a new doctor. Also you said you been on nerve for 18 years. Do you mean that your talking medication for your anxiety (nerves) ?
