Hi, I've just had my 5th booster shot for COVID-19. I was told that I may get very few side effects. It's been 4 days since I had my booster and I've noticed that both of my feet were puffy the next day. My right foot looks worse and also has pitting when I press it. Also my asthma cough was a lot worse. It's the weekend here, so there are no doctors available. Any information would be appreciated. Has anyone else had ill effects after their booster shot? Thanks. ## Do you know which company manufactured the booster you received? This additional information will help me research it for you to check its side effects. The FDA lists them all as possibly causing administration site redness, headache, fatigue, and chills. Ref: COVID-19 Vaccine General Information Are you on a...

I have been using persivate for almost a year and I wasn't aware of the side effects, but now my skin is darker, I have lots of pimples and rashes, it is itchy and dry... Please advise me on what to do. Any recommendations? ## I was also using persivate cream for more than 5 years. I stopped using it and I had pimples and my skin became dark. My face was itchy night and day then I decided to consult a skin specialist. Although it was very expensive but my skin is healing nicely. The doc told me that if you are using persivate you are damaging your skin. Whoever is continuing using this poison must stop honestly. ## Hi, I used persivate ointment last year to clear dark marks on my face n yes they did fade away but then i stopped using it and now my skin is worse than b4 the dark mark...

Hi everybody, I accidently switched my 1 mg tablets with 5 mg. As a result I'been taken 13 mg of prednisone instead of 5 mg. I'been tapering prednisone 1 mg in two weeks prior to this. What do I do now? Switch back to 5 mg a day, or taper off 13 mg gradually? Thanks ## If you've been taking it for less than 21 days, there night not be a need to taper, if it's been longer than that, I would suggest speaking to your doctor for an appropriate taper schedule, in light of your dosing error. I have a rx for Prednisone 20mg to take e 1 tablet daily with a quantity of 5 pills. I took 3 tablets in a 24 hour period, leaving me 2 pills to take. This is to get me ready for cancer surgery on my mouth to make sure my lungs are clear. What should I do? Do I take 1 pill for the next 2 days? or skip some days and try and follow the 5-day regiment? I feel like a fool. Thank you for your help. ## Jody, please check with your prescribing doctor, as they may need to prescribe a couple more pills for you to take, before your surgery, so you get the full five days of dosing. Prednisone may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, acne, weight changes, insomnia, and mood changes. Ref: Prednisone Information Are you on any other medications?

I have been prescribed prednisone 20mg. And am directed to take 2 tablets daily for 5 days. I am male and weigh 158lbs. Do I take 1 tablet every 12 hours or do I take the 2 tablets together each day as one? ## Although I would have your doctor confirm this - In most cases, the term "twice a day" usually refers to having one pill every 12 hours (morning and evening). I believe it is mainly to help keep the medication in your system for as long as possible, throughout the course of 24hrs. Are they extended-release capsules? I hope this helps! ## Can anyone suggest me an exercise to make my hip muscle strong? I am suffering from "Inward Knee Collapse". I learned that i need to strengthen my hip muscles. ## When it say take 2 tablets by mouth daily for 5 day it mean I can ta...

Well I have been experiencing an involuntary cough, where I have this urge to keep clearing the back of my throat and it won't go away. I'm not sick and it has been happening for 4 months. I went to a doctor and she told me it might be an allergy so she gave me Trolic 5 mg (28) tablets and she said that I must take 6 tablets every morning (1x a day). Is this the right dosage? I'm on day 3. ## Trolic is listed as contained Prednisone, which is a steroid class medication that is sometimes used to treat allergic reactions, and other medical conditions as defined by your doctor, and yes, you should take it as she directed for the prescribed period of time. I am on prednisone for 5 years. Taping up and down 40mg to 5 mg. When I am on 5 mg I became very sick and I am going back to 40 mg again. I am trying to stay on 5 mg and slowly become prednisone free. Is anyone there took a prednisone so long and now free from prednisone? I would appreciate all your answers. Thanks. Sorry for my mistakes english is not my primary language. ## Hello, Pandora! How are you? Yes, there are those who have stopped it after taking it for a long period of time, but it usually requires a slow, careful taper under doctor's supervision. The FDA warns that a sudden withdrawal could result in health complications, including adrenal insufficiency, so it is best to be careful and follow your doctor's advice. I was prescribed Prednisone (60MG) 3x daily for 7 days and was supposed to take one every 8 hours 3x daily. But instead I took one every 4-5 hours unknowingly for 5 days...straight I stopped taking them after the 5th day. Because I got panic attacks and migraines. I've been off Prednisone for 5 days now and have been feeling the worst anxiety of my life...I cannot control it or calm myself down and I've been having physical weakness and extreme fatigue and stress. Should I be worried? ## You need to notify the prescribing doctor and explain exactly what has happened. When you start taking Prednisone, the body stops making cortisol on it's own. The two things you mention, headaches and panic, are side effects of the Prednisone. If Prednisone is not tapered down properly it ca...

PMR and flu shots , any relationship between the two ? After getting a flu shot , I came down with this rheumatic ailment . ## I got a flu shot on 12/3/10, came down with severe stiff shoulders 12/4/10. 2 mos PT no help, then went into my hips and diagnosis is PMR. Terrible pain and immobility, am now on 30mg prednisone which barely makes it tolerable. Finally getting to see rheumatologist later this month. I had an allergic reaction to Bactrim and was given prednisone - I took 60 mg, 80 mg, 60 mg, and then 40 mg. On the third day of prednisone I went to the ER because I woke up shaking uncontrollably. The last dose was a week ago today. Even since stopping, I have been feeling very shaky, weak, easily out of breath, tense/anxious, not sleeping properly, extremely emotional, and many other uncomfortable symptoms. I went to a doctor a couple of days ago and she basically said to give it time. I'm happy to do that but I'm also concerned about the (stupidly) large doses of prednisone I was given, and quitting abruptly even though it was only four days. Is it likely the symptoms I'm experiencing are a result of prednisone? I just got bloodwork, U/A, EKG results and nothing seems to...

Hello. I'm an addict in recovery, using the methadone maintenance as the way to wean off opiates. I currently take 1 95mg dose (methadone) in the morning, and I'm weaning down 2mg/month. I also have spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and major lumbar pain. I take only Aleve for pain, as I'm told the methadone will not help me because I only take 1 single dose/day and not for pain management. I have had 2 surgeries on my back. A simple laminectomy, but my 2nd surgery was spinal fusion surgery. I have a metal cage in my lower back, but now; I need a 3rd surgery to repair the discs higher on my spine, as all the pain has returned and my very well-respected doctor highly suggests this. He ordered a series of steroidal epidural shots in my back. I did the 1st round of sho...

My mom is on Prednisone and is having severe anxiety and insomnia. She is a totally different person. The docs have lowered her dose and tell us she will improve 4-6 weeks after it is lowered. Anyone else go through this and did it get better after that time? I need advice. ## I, too, had insomnia after taking the Prednisone. Anxiety has increased tenfold. My husband is a love and he takes good care of me. He understands and sometimes when I get carried away he just smiles and says, Prednisone and I know the medication is causing the problem. I hope that things get better for your mom. Just try to remind her in a nice way that the Prednisone is causing her feelings and that she really is OK.
