I have shoulder pain and am a diabetic patient. Can I take Predmet tablets for relief of pain? This pain started after catching a chikungunya fever.

Hi Veena, sorry to hear about your illness and pain. Predmet contains the active ingredient Methylprednisolone, which is a corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation (among other things). So yes, in the short term, it will probably help with pain relief. But keep in mind that this kind of drug is not meant to be taken over a long time or stopped abruptly, as some serious side effects may develop. So I would suggest working closely with your doctor while taking this medication, and then gradually lowering your dose until you are off it. Your doc should know this and I'm sure they will have you on an appropriate schedule. Hope this helps and wish you good health!
