My doctor prescribed deltacortril 5mg for me today. I'm to take 3 twice a day for 2 days, then reduce by one every second day until finished. My son is getting married next week. If you do, you may experience more side effects than usual, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. I have been taking coverall 2mg for about 1 year now. I have blurred vision, awful leg pain, and have developed a cough with mucus running down the back of my throat. I have also gained weight for no reason. I also take pariet 20mg. Can you please give me some advice? ## Hello, Ollie! How are you? The blurred vision and leg pain might be due to the Coverall, the FDA does list those as being possible side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Both of these medications are listed by the NIH as possibly causing weight gain. As to the cough with mucous, that might be due to an acid issue, if you are taking the Pariet to treat acid reflux, or a similar condition, it can cause a cough with mucous and sinus drainage. My doctor has taken me off Ramipril 10mg and Bisoprolol 1.25 and put me on Perindopril 4mg. The ramipril did not lower my bp but i had few side effects . When the bisoprolol was added it lowered my bp a little but it was still out of control and I got bouts of vertigo and palpatations when the Bisoprolol was added. However as I was on amlodipine for a number of years , that actually kept my bp lower but the side effects gave me no quality of life at all so i would not like to use again. Does anyone know the difference of Ramipril and Perindopril and if Perindopril has less side effects than Ramipril and does it work better at lowering bp? ## Well, it isn't that any medication really has less risk of side effects than any other. It's just that some are known to cause them less of...

Is there a problem if I drink grapefruit juice while I am on Coveram 10? ## Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between grapefruit juice and Coveram (perindopril arginine). Apparently it can lead to unsafe levels of potassium in your blood, which can put you at risk for other serious complications. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Perindopril Details I hope this info helps! ## Read the package insert. I have been taking 4mg Perindopril for a year.I am 68 and do not have any other medical issues. Blood pressure now stable at approx. 125/65. However I have a horrid rash around my nose which is steadily getting worse and resists any cream. This has been ongoing now for4 months and is now heading towards my cheek. The other side effect has been a continual runny nose, and recently dizziness. I am thinking of stopping Perindopril to see if my rash clears up and to monitor my blood pressure to see what happens. Should I stop completely or halve the dose for a time? ## Hello, Peggy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. Suddenly stopping such a medication isn't safe, because it could cause dangerous rebound elevations to your blood pressure and heart rate...

I have been on perindopril 4mg for a couple of months now and two weeks after starting the medication I started to developed a weird kind of heat rash on my chest, face and back. I wasn't sure what it was at first so my doctor ordered blood tests to make sure it wasn't anything sinister.. all tests came back negative which I was relieved but it still doesn't explain the ongoing rash that seems to come and go. I began taking Coversyl 2MG (Perindopril Erbumine) around 10 days ago. For the first week symptoms of side effects were minor, lately I seem to fit in to a 0.3% group who exhibit Hypotension. Also dizziness, joint & muscle pain, easily and earlier tired, bouts of Diarrhea and so on. Since the mission of this medication seems noble, I would like to stay on it. 2MG is the lowest initial dosage. Does anyone know if the tiny tablet can be cut in half ? (Becomes 1MG?)

i,ve being using acti-prex nd a started coughing non stop so is my sister, ## Based on my research, Actiprex is a medication from South Africa, containing the active ingredient Perindopril. This is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure and other heart conditions. I hope you and your sister are feeling better now; but I do have to question why you would even start taking a random medication if you have no idea what it's supposed to be used for? Not only is that irresponsible, but if it were something else, it could also be life-threatening. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Perindopril Details I hope this helps!

My doctor recently prescribed coveram for my hypertension. I searched the net and found some articles about its side effects, including erectile dysfunction. Shouldn't an improvement in blood flow address ED as well? Can I take coveram with meds/herbal food supplements for ED? ## Hello, Mr.Why! How are you? Are you suffering with ED from taking it? It's a possible side effect, but not everyone experiences it. Learn more Perindopril details here. Learn more Amlodipine details here. If you are suffering from ED, you should talk to your doctor, because there are other medications you can try that may not cause it. Does this tablets can effect the period? Thank you ## Hi Marina, Based on my research, Coveram contains the ingredients Perindopril + Amlodipine; which are used in the treatment of high blood pressure and hypertension. I haven't seen irregular periods listed as a side effect. Everyone reacts to medication differently though, so there is a possibility that this medication could be having that effect on you. Has anything else changed in your lifestyle that may have disrupted your menstrual cycle? I know (from personal experience) that stress can cause irregular periods.
