I am going to have surgery to repair a fractured humerus and percocet does nothing to help with the pain. What meds can I get my dr. to prescribe? ## The first choice in many hospitals now for better pain relief is Dilaudid, which contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. Learn more Dilaudid details here. It's very potent, it only takes 3.75mgs of it to equal each 10mgs of Oxycodone, which is the active narcotic in the Percocet. Just like other narcotics, there is a chance that it could be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? ## i think opoid drugs like tramadol and opoid related drugs can help you but addiction resuls if u take more than its dosage and duration ## I agree ...

I have been on Percocet 10/650 for around 8 yrs. now for my back. They cannot do surgery because the bone and discs in my spine are not strong enough to hold any type of device. They have now changed it to Oxycodone 15 mg but doesn't seem to help. Is Oxycodone 15 stronger than the Percocet 10/650? I am NOT looking for drugs and the high that some give. My profession is very important to me and I would NEVER risk loosing it due to drugs, however, I am on my feet for at least 12 hrs. a day on concrete. I am just curious if the Oxy 15 is stronger and better to take or is there something better. ## The problem may be caused by the lack of Acetaminophen, it generally enhances the effects of the Oxycodone and helps it work better. Have you consulted your doctor? If they still permit you t...

Got a medicine filled that was suppose to be percocet 10/650. received a bottle that said it was oxycodone / acetaminophen 10/650. The bottle was filled with watson 824 and watson 825. What is the diffrence between the 2 . And I dont understand why they did not tell me it was diffrent. ## Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is just a generic for Percocet, those are the active ingredients that it contains. The issue here is that you actually received 2 different dosages. The tablet with the WATSON 825 marking is the correct one in the 10/650 dosage, however the tablet with the WATSON 824 is only a 7.5/500 dosage. Learn more Percocet details here. Thus, it seems an error was made and you should contact the pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming ...

Found this pill in my uncles house who has a opiate addiction problem. It is a round green pill about the side of a percocet 512 and has a large 40 on one side and Mylan and 784 written on the other. Someone please help me out to figure out what this is? ## is there a such things as 40 mg percocets ## its a beta blocker propranolol 40 mg. ## That is correct, the tablet with the MYLAN 784 40 on it contains 40mgs of Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat hypertension and certain cardiac conditions. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Learn more Propranolol details here. And no, there is no 40mg Percocet, it contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and is only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. Le...

I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, percocet is the only med that seems to work, but when I take it, I can't sleep, kindof an upper for me.....anyone with alternative suggestions, I've tried them all..... ## I have a severe lower back pain due to a L5 S1 disk herniation. I was prescribed Percoset, but whenever I take it I can't sleep. ## Had the same problem, had zanex prescribed used it in conjunction with benedril, worked for me. ## Yes, Oxycodone can cause that in some people that take it, though it isn't very common. Learn more Percocet details here. If anyone else is experiencing the same type of problem, you should discuss it with your doctor to see what the safest solutions for you may be. I have taken 10/325 MD 523 generic for years. I took IP 204 for a month with noticeable side effects; swollwen feet and less bowel movement, even with daily miralax. My question....DOES IP 204 CAUSE BULDGING FEET THEN MD 523??????????? Thank you for any comments. ## Did you mean the tablet with the M523 10/325 marking? Because there isn't one with an MD on it. The constipation can be a side effect of any narcotic opiate and though it isn't common, Percocet can cause fluid retention in some people, as well. There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, so taking a different one may have caused the problem, but you should really have it checked out by your doctor to be safe. small whiteound tablet with only a small score on one side ## i have a round light blue pill. it is scored and has a k on the top half and a 9 on the bottom. the back is unmarked. the prescription was for 30mg percocet, but they ususally have an m on one side and numbers on the back. if you know what i have please let me know, i would hate to take something if my rx was mis-filled. ## its a perk 30 mg ## it is absolutely NOT a Percocet or Percodan. It May be Oxydodone but its impossible to tell without any coding that is ALWAYS imprinted on ANY and ALL narcotic medications. Percocet only comes in 5mg, 7.5mg, and 10 mg all with 325 of acetaminophen (Tylenol) Percodan only comes with 5mg Oxycodone and 325 aspirin instead of Tylenol. I have been taking 1 Adderal and 2 Percocet for several months now. I went to my Dr.and he had me do a drug screening. A couple days later the nurse called and stated that the Dr. wanted me to come in asap to do another. I went in a few days later and did another screening. Today I receive a letter stating that both test came back negative for narcotics, and I would not be perscribed anymore because it was clear that I was not taking them. Which is not true. I started taking the Percocet in August due to a herniated disc in my lower back that is sitting on my cyatic nerve. My Dr gave my a monthly script for the pain meds and referred me to a specialist. The specialist gave me injections that did not work, and tried to get me to put a Nuro stemulator in my back ( NOT) and said I wasn'...

small, round, green, r-214 pill ## I believe the marking on this tablet was actually A 214 and it contains 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. Learn more Oxycodone details here. It is a generic for Roxicodone, but it is not the same as Percocet, since that couples the Oxycodone with Acetaminophen. But it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions that I can help with?

A small white round pill one side is blank and the other has a split down the middle with the numbers 100 and 155 on either side of the split. I was told this is a 30mg percocet?? ## I cannot find a listing for this tablet, however, I can tell you that there is no such thing as a 30mg Percocet. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and is available in a max dosage of 10mgs on the Oxycodone. Does anyone else have information on this tablet? ## if its 30 mg is not perccet. Percocet means oxycodone mixed with acetominophen or tylenol. percs are made in 5 and 10 mg. 30 mg is pure instant release oxycodone with no tylenol. these are called roxycodone brand named, also made in 15 mg. then there is oxycontin which the only difference is controlled release oxycodone made in 10, 20, 40 ,...

I found a round pill. It's a yellow color. On one side there is a line through the middle and the other side is blank. I was told this is 15mg Percocet(oxycodone), but I have never seen it before. Anyone have any idea what this could be? ## Hi Diggy, Based on my research, the closest match I can find is Percodan; which is a combination of Aspirin (325 mg) and Oxycodone hydrochloride (4.8355 mg). This pill matches the description you provided exactly, except that the side with the score has the imprint "percodan" on the outer edge. You can view an image of this pill by clicking here Please post back if this is the pill you have, I hope this helps!

Is this Percocet? It has 512 on it. Please help me identify in pill. ## whats the differance between 512 percocet and acetaminophen-hydrocodone and which one is less harmfull if either ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, while the other one contains Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so it is a different narcotic. However, they both carry the same possible risks, such as being habit forming and side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. Learn more Lortab details here. Thus, it's really a matter of which one works best for you, while causing the least problematic side effects. Are there any other questions or comments?

Over the past several months I have been prescribed many different pain meds, anti inflamatory meds and muscle relaxer due to rotator cuff surgery. All were purchased with prescription from CVS & Target Pharmacy. After sorting out in weekly med tray, I can't identify a round white pill with no markings or score on either side. Could this be a generic form of percocet? ## In the U.S. all prescription tablets have to have some type of unique imprint on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Since Percocet is a prescription only medication, all of them, including the generics have some type of marking on the tablets. Did you purchase anything else recently? Such as an over the counter product? They are not regulated like prescription medications and are not requ...

yellow, round pill with 230 on one side and looks like a G on the other ## The tablet with the Chinese V logo and the number 230 on it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet. The Chinese V logo is used by Alvogen, Inc.
