Got a medicine filled that was suppose to be percocet 10/650. received a bottle that said it was oxycodone / acetaminophen 10/650. The bottle was filled with watson 824 and watson 825. What is the diffrence between the 2 . And I dont understand why they did not tell me it was diffrent.

Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is just a generic for Percocet, those are the active ingredients that it contains.

The issue here is that you actually received 2 different dosages.

The tablet with the WATSON 825 marking is the correct one in the 10/650 dosage, however the tablet with the WATSON 824 is only a 7.5/500 dosage.

Thus, it seems an error was made and you should contact the pharmacy.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation.

Additionally, by request of the FDA, all of these combination medications are being changed to only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen, a project which manufacturers are expected to have completed by January of 2014.

So for anyone viewing this post after that, please double check, before assuming that these tablets still contain the higher amounts of Acetaminophen.

Is there anything else I can help with?
