Someone please tell me how long it takes to withdrawal from percocet and what is expected day by day?

I will stand in for you with intercessory prayer as I too am going through the same situation. I had back surgery last year and have been in pain ever since. been taking Vics and percs but so want to get off ALL of this medicine! I have been praying for a week and not thinking about taking them as much altho the withdrawals draw me back in:( If we Believe and Trust in The Power Love Mercy and Grace of Our Lord HE will bring us through anything.

Going through withdrawls still after 4 weeks, sooo tired, cant sleeep! Why wont it just let me go? My legs feel like they have rls, and moving around feels like carrying 100pnds on my legs. Baths are my only relief,the best part is that i did a taper! And that was no party either, suffering suffering suffering.

I am suffering and know now the time has come. Ive been taking high doses daily for the past 2 years. I cannot do the cold turkey as I have small children & a job & when I tried I'm so sick I cannot function. I don't know what to do & have no-one to talk to.

I did them for the same reason and felt confident, no anxiety, and felt happy but eventually all that goes away and you get so dependant on it that it's all your chasing every single moment of the day that you forget what kind of person you are before you started them ! I am 25 year old female and started taking suboxone and everyday it gets easier and easier!! I wish you the best hun!

I have to post my story for others. I've been taking Vic's,percs for about 4 years now for chronic back pain. I have become addicted to where I just take them to take the, so I don't feel pain. Now I run out after having my script for 2 weeks.!!! That is not ok. My last script I asked my dr to move me down from 10/325, 4x a day to 7.5/325, 4 x a day. I went thru withdrawals before and ended up back on my meds. But this time I said enuff! I need to get back to normal feeling so I can know exactly how bad my back really is. I thought there has to be something out there that is natural helper for withdrawals. I researched online for a week before yesterday. What I found was the BEST MIRACLE HERB that has taken away 95% of my WDs! It's called Kratom!!! Research it yourself. I bought mine at Down in the Valley store. I took 1 cap. Yesterday at 11:30am. and I felt great! Again at 3:30pm still feeling great! No meds! I pushed thru longer to 8:50pm before bed and took 1 cap. With a Unisom for sleeping. I slept all night no WDs !! Still no Rx meds ! Woke up today at 7:30 feeling pretty darn good! This Herb is amazing! I'm so glad that I researched it and now I can say that it has worked for my WDs from perc/vics! I took 1 kratom cap at 8:00am and I'm doing really good. I have energy and I only feel a little bit restless leg but nothing I can't handle! I bout 7 kratom cap. And the Kratom Tea bags and I'm so glad I did! Everyone has to do what they find helps. But I wanted people to know that there is a GREAT HERB out there so you don't have to suffer WDs! Good luck and I'm on day 2. 24 hours no meds just Kratom and lots of water!!!

I'm 27 and have been on 4 percocets a day since i was 19... I have not had any withdrawals from them bc of what I have been using... 6 Somas a day the non habit forming ones... And 4 legatrim a day with these 2, I haven't been having any withdrawals... I'm on day 3 and still no withdrawals.. So with these 2 it will help so much..

I'm on day five detox cold turkey. It's been hard. Cravings set in on day 4 n still today. Sweats hot n cold. My feet became cold and I cldnt get them to warm up so took hot shower then they became too warm and wuldnt cool down. Imodium has stopped stomach issues but mood swings aches n cold hot flashes still happening. I feel hopeless like this will never end. I hve been on pain pills over 7 years started w hydro moved to oxy condone last 2 years around 7 a day. Occasionally takin OxyContin.. It seems never ending. But I kno I shld almost be through this. I hve been takin b6 and drinking fresh lemon water to help speed up. Tryed benzos but they make me more moody. The drowsy effect is not my cup of tea. Any advice on anything else to try.??? No methadone or subs I kno the wd from those are longer n more severe. I heard of kratom but is that just one drug for another ??

No matter my pain I never took more than prescribed. I am off the Cymbalta (that withdrawal almost killed me), off off morphine, neuronton (spelling?)I am agitated too. But pain agitates me also. RSD is hell to live with. Don't know what is worse, pain or meds. Both suck the life out of me. I was always an over achiever, type A yet patient, high energy person. I yelled at my dog yesterday! I am usually soft spoken and calm. Oh I was on neproxon too. Just Percocet left but pain is escalating beyond management.Oh does anyone getting achy just before its time for Percocet hard for me to tell because I have RSD 1&2.

I have been on Oxycodone for years for RSD type 1 & 2. I lost my Ins and doctor cut me off so I am stretching meds but pain is terrible and now I feel weird the longer I stretch meds. Panicky, feel I cant breathe good then I take percocet and of course pain gets better but panic leaves. I am worried I run out of meds in two days.

Wow besides the great job you just told my story! I'm 4 hours into day 3 of my st home detox. Yesterday I managed to do light housework and took 3 baths. I used to go to Florida for scripts too.. That's was the beginning of the end for me. I'm on the verge of losing my husband- my mood swings are so bad- everything I do revolves around if I have a pill...and A pill doesn't cut it anyway.. I need at least 2 30s preferably 3 30s to even get off. I'm 31, attractive, healthy otherwise- this is no way to live! I see everyone else living life- getting outta bed- accomplishing things- and I'm a slave to a little blue pill.

My detox is going ok. I'll be honest it started w not having the $ to make myself feel high- and my husband made sure of that- so the process started with me kicking and screaming and going into DTs involuntarily. But I've been wanting to detox seriously for a couple weeks so I quickly decided the time had to be now. Day 2 I begged at 3 friends to bring me anything- suboxone- pills.. Anything to knock me out? But nothing.. No one came. It's sleep I want... I just got about 4 hours straight tonight which I was happy about. My mind feels clearer already.. I'm so excited to feel normal again- be healthy- being a slave to nothing- salvaging my relationships. Another awful awfullll part of this detox is my damn legs! Restless leg.. Or whatever is going on is god awful- can't get comfortable- I'm just rocking my self back and forth like a psycho! Ugh.. But I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... Hope it's not a train...if it is better be loaded w Percs! How can I love something that is ruining my life? I'll never get it. Daddy issues maybe- idk lol but listen I just keep telling myself I'm strong. This is temporary. I wish you strength to get thru this as well. I'm thinking I'm going to feel good enough to actually go out this weekend?!

My prayers are with all of u. This must b my 5 the attempt to quit percs. By the grace of God im on day 7. First 4 days......awful!!! Follow the Thomas recipe. It helped me alot!! I soaked in a very hot tub for leg tremors but mostly, I asked God to go thru it with me n He did. Smith is right...God's ur only chance. If I can get to day 7...u can too. Im an addict from way back but pills were the worst to beat! U can do it!!!

If you have read anything about Percocet one of the things they will always say is "DO NOT CUT THEM IN ANYWAY". By cutting them you are killing a large portion of there usage so no wonder you don't "feel" anything.

I was using about 160 mg day. Four 20 mg oxycontin and 8 10/325 percs.
It took about 8 days before I could sleep normally and my body did not really have a great craving for the drug. However after 11 days I will go back on the meds. I have chronic pain jssues. I have bad Osteoarthritis in the upper part of my neck. Vertabrae 3-7. A;so have in both hands, knees and my right hip. I also have tears in my knees. Also both rotator cuffs are going out. I have been a brittle type 1 diabetic for 44 of my 50 years and it is accelerating the problems. Luckily my weight is good and I do not have any kidney issues yet.

I READ ALL THESE POSTS AND ALL I WANNA KNOW IS WHO ARE YOUR DRS CUZ I CAN'T EVEN MOVE MOST DAYS PAIN LEVEL WAY PAST 10 MORE OFTEN THAN NOT NEVER BELOW 5-6 EVEN ON MY MEDS AND I WANT NAMES OF DRS CUZ I'M TIRED OF HURTN ALL THE TIME.

the amounts some of these people are taking is outrageous.I'm 45 and suffer severe pain in my entire body.extremely physical job for 15 years but absolutely refuse to ever take more than 3 percs a day cause thats STUPID enough.I've been able to cut back to a half in the morn and a half in the afternoon.this has enabled me to skip a day which quite plainly means SUFFERING.The half half method does not help the pain in my opinion but at least i'm not a fricken IDIOT! I WANT TO LIVE. Use your brains people that's why you have them.
