The Dr. prescribed me paroxetine hcl 5 weeks ago- for depression- going thru some tough times right now-I took 10 mg for the first week- then 20 mg for 2 weeks- I felt absolutely horrible when taking the 20 mg- so she told me to drop back to 10 mg again- it has been 2 weeks now on the 10 mg- and I still dont' feel "normal"- how long does it take to really start working? ## It generally takes about 4 to 6 weeks for your body to adjust to any new medication, or dosage adjustment and for things to even out and the side effects to taper off. If it doesn't improve, however, you should talk to your doctor again, because this just may not be the right medication for you. Are there any other questions or comments?

i have been on paroextine for some monts and have had the make of the usual paroxetine i take changed and it does not suit me at all, my doctor or parmacist does not know which brand of paroxetine i had previously they said if i coud find out the maker of it they would order it. all i can remember is that it was a white round fairly large tablet and im sure it had zc 16 on it. the box was white with purple and the words paroxetine were large acrss the front of it. have you any idea who does his product so i can get my new prescription? thank you ## Fairly Confident that the paroxetine manufacturer of this brand is Cadia Healthcare Ltd.Ahmedabad, India. PILL ## Without knowing the markings on the pill, I cannot confirm what it is, but I can tell you that if you know for sure that it is Paroxetine, this is a generic for the antidepressant Paxil. ## my problem is when i do sexe i did not have the spermatozoide so, ejaculation not sperme I ask the answers thanks

Has anyone noticed that taking generic Paxil is not as effective as the real deal? I'm having a terrible time with recurring anxiety symptoms. ## While patients may experience slight differences between medications, the generic market is highly regulated in both the U.S. and Australia (where I live). The drug concentration is the same within the tablet, it will have the same absorption profile, same extent of absorption. Therefore in all likelyhood it should work exactly the same (within acceptable limits) as the original brand. The only changes present could be due to the inactive ingredients within the formulation which a patient may be sensitive or intolerant to. While this does not affect the effectiveness of the medication it may introduce side-effects.
