my dr has prescribed me xet cr 12.5. i m taking and getting benefited but i want to discontinue it. kindly guide me how i can ?

Xet CR contains the active ingredient Paroxetine, this is an SSRI antidepressant.

Have you spoken to your doctor about discontinuing this mediation?

Since it is an SSRI, if you stop suddenly, you could experience withdrawal effects, such as: nausea, diarrhea, headaches and chills/fever.

In addition, there could also be rebound effects, such as worsening of the condition you were taking it for and suicidal thoughts and tendencies.

These medications usually require a very slow taper to stop using them.
