Has anyone noticed that taking generic Paxil is not as effective as the real deal? I'm having a terrible time with recurring anxiety symptoms.

While patients may experience slight differences between medications, the generic market is highly regulated in both the U.S. and Australia (where I live). The drug concentration is the same within the tablet, it will have the same absorption profile, same extent of absorption. Therefore in all likelyhood it should work exactly the same (within acceptable limits) as the original brand. The only changes present could be due to the inactive ingredients within the formulation which a patient may be sensitive or intolerant to. While this does not affect the effectiveness of the medication it may introduce side-effects.
