Pantoprazole Sod Dr 40 Mg/reaction

I have been taking this pill (for heart attack recovery) since last fall. I already was being treated for vertigo and it seemed to make the vertigo worse plus made me be in a "fog" most of the time. Do I need to change to another generic for Protonix ?

This is not a medication used to treat a heart condition of any type. This is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis.

It can cause some slight dizziness as a side effect, but it really should't worsen vertigo or cause you to seem to be in a fog.

Do you take any other medications?

Thanks for your reply. I take Enteric Aspirin 81 mg, Clopidogrel 75 mg, Atorvastatin 20 mg, and Carvedilol 3.125 mg along with the Pantoprazole. All for the heart attack. I had a bleeding ulcer 20 years ago which is why the Dr. prescribed the Pantoprazole.
