Pan 40mg Vs Pantosec Dsr 40mg

What is the difference between pan 40 and pantosec dsr 40? My mother had an elbow fracture followed by surgery. She is on diabetic and blood pressure meds. The doctor also prescribed pan 40, but the med store gave her pantosec dsr 40. Are they the same?

Pantosec D SR combing Pantoprazole with Domperidone and the SR designates it as being a time released formulation, so no, it is not actually the same. It would be best to check with her doctor to see if it is safe for her to take.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and flatulence.
