Going to pain management for my back. The Doctor wrote a prescription for 3 times daily or prn, so when can I ask for a refill? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? How many tablets was it written for? That would help determine the numbers of days, until it can be refilled. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I am sorry I should have been more accurate. The scrip was written as follows: Hydrocodone acetaminophen 7.5-325 take 1 tablet by mouth 3 times a day as needed. The count is 90. Filled3-5-2015. Thank you for replying. Hope this helps me find an answer. ## Mary C, 1 Tablet 3 times a day for 90 tablets is a 30 days supply ...

My patient has recently had two (2) toes removed and he has extreme bad pain in his right foot. If you could help him out and get the right pain medication what would you recommend? ## Ideally, only a qualified physician who's examined the patient in person and reviewed their medical history can make an appropriate judgement call on adequate treatment for something like this. However from a layman's (outside) perspective it would seem that starting off with something mid-level in strength would allow for substantial wiggle room in the dosage and/or type of narcotic analgesic being administered. In my personal opinion based solely off observation (not having had any of my toes removed and can't fathom the amount of pain that might ensue) a moderate dose of hydrocodone appears...

Man I had four different genetic brands. Now taking alvogen 10 325. Percocet 10. man no wonder there so many people killing themselves. everyones genetic med r different. S*** what happen to DuPont they too big to keep customers happy? I had enough. I'm going to ask my doctor to give me morphine. Or back on methadone. Even though they are hard to get off of. That makes five different types of Percocet 10 I had. Watson is the only way. I just do not understand. I guess I have to look overseas. Usa meds suck ## @James, You know big pharma is really making things difficult for pain patients, especially when pharmacies keep switching between different manufacturers to try and save a few bucks out of the hundreds of millions they make in profit every year. If you're able to it sounds...

Can someone please inform me, what is this pill is compared to? percocet? vicodin? does it provide pain relief or is it worthless? it's green, it says Watson 395 50 0.5. i want to know what it does and if its an opiate? does it have hydrocodone in it or oxycodone and does it provide the same pain relief as other opiates? ## This tablet contains 50mgs of Pentazocine and 0.5mgs of Naloxone, it is comparable to Talwin-NX. The Pentazocine is a narcotic, but it is couple with the Naloxone to prevent abuse of the medication. If someone tries to abuse the tablets, the Naloxone will basically neutralize the narcotic and prevent them from being able to use recreationally. And as to whether or not it makes you feel the same way as the others, I really can't answer that. All medications ca...

I did not use Kratom to come off of Narcotics or any other addiction. I wanted to try Kratom because of all the great reviews I had read about it. I was curious, so I ordered a 4 oz. supply and gave it a shot. I was hoping it would help with my concentration at work as well as help me manage the nagging pain of simply aging. The results were instant and I thought I had found the perfect remedy to raise me up from the daily grind. I dosed myself twice a day, once at noon and again in the evening. My completion of tasks increased and the nagging pain I had been living with decreased. After a few months on Kratom I started to notice that I didn't feel great between doses and that I would start watching the clock for when I'd allow myself to mix a kratom drink. I'd take the dose...

Flupirtine is a centrally acting, non-opioid analgesic that is available in a number of European countries for the treatment of a variety of pain states. The therapeutic benefits seen with flupirtine relate to its unique pharmacological properties. Flupirtine displays indirect NDMA receptor antagonism via activation of potassium channels and is the first representative of a pharmacological class denoted the ‘selective neuronal potassium channel openers’. The generation of the M-current is facilitated by flupirtine via the opening of neuronal Kv7 potassium channels. The opening of these channels inhibits exaggerated neuronal action potential generation and controls neuronal excitability. Neuronal hyperexcitability is a physiological component of many ...

I live in ft. myers fl. I have legit script for roxi 30...150 and morphine sulfate 30mg...30-count. Who can mail to my home? I'm barely able to get to the doc each month. I have medicaid, but will pay cash 3$ or less... Thanks and God bless. ## Many Medicaid plans do have mail order pharmacies to better assist those who can't easily get out to a pharmacy, thus the best thing you can do would be to contact them and ask for information on their preferred mail order prescription provider. Learn more Roxicodone details here. Learn more Morphine details here. This won't help with your needing to see your doctor each month, you'll still need to do that to get new prescriptions, but they can often be faxed to the mail order prescription provider and then the original copies mai...

I'd like to discuss Embeda experiences with others. ## I have used Morphine, before, but not this formulation with the Naltrexone. What would you like to know? The reason the Naltrexone is included is to prevent abuse of other narcotics while using this medication. The Morphine itself is a very potent narcotic analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Does anyone that's used this have anything to add? ## Your information is incorrect - the naltrexone is not added "to prevent abuse of other narcotics, while using this medication". The naltrexone has no action unless the product is broken down first. ## I was on ms contin for 15 yrs and the doc decided to take me off and put me on oxycontin 40 mg 2x a day plus cu...

My husband has been taking Embeda for about a week now. Every time he sits up he gets too dizzy like he passes out for about a second and falls back on the bed. Also happens when he lays down from sitting up, he gets really dizzy. ## Hello, Elaine! How is your husband doing? Has there been any change? This medication can cause severe dizziness in some people. What dosage is he currently taking? However, as reported by the FDA, it can also cause orthostatic hypotension as a side effect, that's when your blood pressure drops, when you move suddenly and it sounds like that might be what he's experiencing. Has he consulted his doctor? He needs to have this checked out as it may not be the right medication for him to take, passing out like that could be dangerous. ## Hi Verwon. I am ...

I am rx'ed ms-contin 30mg & percocet 10mg by my pain dr. My question is, since percocet and oxycontin have the same main ingredient in them except the apap that is in the percocet, will it show up the same on a u/a for the pain clinic? ## Yes, since they both contain Oxycodone, a test that checks for the specific opiate and its metabolites will show them both as being the same thing. What you could run into, however, is a problem if you have been taking more than the amount prescribed. Most pain management clinics use tests that also show the level of the opiate(s) in your body, to make sure you are using them as prescribed. They will expect the levels to be in a certain range, so if they are higher than the expected amounts, it could cause you a problem. Are there any other que...

My dad is on probation, and has to take a swab test today. He is prescribed vicodin, but he messed up and took a few old percocets not thinking because he can barely see or read ## I have a prescription for norco 7.5. I know that's hydrocodone. I took 3 Percocet 5 mg. I am on probation and have to go in this Wednesday not sure if they will drug test me. I was in so much pain and couldn't get to my dr for a refill/no insurance so my sister had a script for Percocet, I took a few. How would the test come up if they do test me? ## Hello all the drugs you mentioned are opiates and will show up as just opiates. Not just a specific hydrocodone will show up as hydrocodone it will show up as an opiate. So you will be fine! ## If the test is a simple one...not sent to lab, you are fine. ...

This is a mouth swab test. The person is on all of these drugs the day before the test, Please no recovery advice, I am doing research for my paper. ## Okay, for specific information on testing, it depends what type of test they have ordered from the lab. A basic test would just show the presence of opiates, however, there are tests that can show the specific ones and how much of them are present in the body. And as to having done them the day before, while there isn't a precise time frame, most narcotics are only detectable in a saliva test for about 6 hours after taking them, except for the Codeine, which can be detectable for up to 12 hours. ## I have to take a drug screen tomorrow afternoon, & I was prescribed tylenol #3 w/ codeine , 300-30mg.. I am currently taking percocet 10 mg that are prescribed by a dr for back pain. I have a drug screening this friday. I have run out of my pills and was wondering if I took a few percocet 7.5 mg, would they show up as something different. Essentially I need to know if there is any difference at all between percocet 10 mg and percocet 7.5 other than the strength ## Oxycodone is the active narcotic in both, just in a different amount, so in that respect you will be fine. However, where you may run into a problem is if they are also looking at the levels of the medication in your body. When you have been prescribed a certain amount, at certain dosage intervals, your doctor knows what range your level should fall in, based on your body weight, overall health and etc. Anything outside of that...

Hi, I've learned a lot from other people's experiences on this site over the last few years and wanted to share my experiences with something that comes up on here from time to time, and I hope that I can somehow help out somebody out there wondering. I live in socal (south of LA), and have been taking Lyrica (pregabalin) for fibromyalgia and migraines for about six or seven years now, and it would not be exaggerating to say that it has really changed my life. It's an incredible product, and the only thing I've tried after ten or fifteen years of doctors trying me on everything and mosf things they tried either not doing anything or else just making things worse. With no generic alternative available in the US, I have to pay $217 every time I pick up a refill (28 pills p...

I have orange oval shaped tablets about the size of a vitamin that were in a clear packet with pink foil that u push them out of. All I could see was /325 on the back of the packet. Almost like a burnt orange color. They are supposed to be Percocet. Can anyone confirm? ## Does Percocet make a round orange pill? I have never seen one but a friend of mine says that there is an orange Percocet. Is this true? ## Hello Marty Mcfly, According to the FDA Regulations Title 21 "Unless exempted under 206.7, no drug product in solid oral dosage form may be introduced or delivered for introduction into interstate commerce unless it is clearly marked or imprinted with a code imprint that, in conjunction with the product's size, shape, and color, permits the unique identification of the drug ...

I have an orangish/peach pill with PNE on one side and nothing on the other. It’s round. I got it in Cozumel Mexico. Any ideas? ## Did you figure out what this pill is. I too bought some in Cozumel and still am wondering ## Hello Tom, Identifying foreign pills can be extremely difficult as some of them do not have readily available pill identification tools due to their manufacturing practices not requiring imprints. Fortunately I was able to search around the forums and found another thread that discussed a similar pill but blue. In this thread Ana claims that this medication is Desenfriol-D. I took to 15 mg 24 extended release morphine pills and slowly ot started making me feel sick and after about 8 hours it made me throw up. This morning I woke up and I still felt the effects of it but not as bad as yesterday. But the thing that worries me is I this morning I felt my neck and I had about two lumps on it and now I feel like I have a third coming up. Is it an allergic reaction and if so will it go away? ## Where are the lumps located? If they are due to swollen glands, that could be due to an allergic reaction, but you should have it checked out by your doctor to be sure. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
