Updated in IbuprofenHello I've looking around for a pain management place and I heard good things about Acworth Pain management that they are good about giving you good meds that work and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about this place because I'm a baseball player and Ive been playing for Rome Braves for two seasons until I toor my rotator cuff and my team doctors and others have been telling that there's not a good chance I will be able to have a career as long as others and that they could only manage the pain so I've been taking hydrocodone 10 mg and they seem to work real well but one of my buddy's told me that acworth pain was better about giving out this type of medication than others because the team doc is kinda reluctant to give this out so I figured I would tr

I took a pre-employment hair drug test recently and was told a week later that I had failed the drug test because there were high levels of meth...The thing is, I've never done drugs (not even smoked pot, and not even one cigarette!), and I've never been around people who do smoke or do drugs! Plus, I don't take any medication, not even over-the-counter (no Advil, Tylenol, NyQuil, nothing!). I'm as square as square can be. I don't even drink! I'm in total shock. I was told that I would receive a letter in the mail if I want to contest, which I absolutely do. What could be the cause of meth showing up in my system, and how do I go about contesting the drug test? And are false-positives more common than I think? It's the only explanation here... ## Blood test !...
My doctor did a genetic urine test. I tested positive for morphine. I've only had it one time in er months ago. I currently take ambien, promethazine tablets for nausea, sometimes gabapentin. I'm on pain management but hadn't taken any of my oxycodone. I got a strike against me and they retested me. Looking to prove to my doctor that I didn't take any morphine. I would know believe me.
Updated in MorphineI have been on loratab 10/325 3times day and soma 3 times a day. Dr. changed me today (01/09/2012) new gov. law as of 01/01/12. Can't give me soma with Loritab. Now he put me on MS Contin 60mg 2times a day with 3 soma's daily. He told me the MS Contin was stronger by far than Loritab. I didn't want to give up soma b/c they help so much w/muscle spasms. Is this true or will I go through withdrawl from Loritab. I'm worried after reading all blogs on MS Contin not being as strong of a pain relief. I have been through the bad withdrawl of opiate b4 and never want it again. I thought morphine was an opiate like hydrocodone and doseage was stronger and worked better. As Dr. said. Can anyone answer my question here asap. Thanks ## Yes, Morphine is a narcotic opiate and it and t...
My script has changed under the new law. It's now Vicodin with 325 Acetaminophen. I've noticed that this new pill is giving me a headache. Only the Acetaminophen strength has changed. The strength was 7.5/ 750. It's now 7.5/ 325. Anyone have any idea why the headache? When I switch back to the old, no headache. Thanks in advance. ## Hello, Pamela! How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Which are you taking, Vicodin or Percocet? Percocet contains Acetaminophen with Oxycodone, while Vicodin contains Acetaminophen with Hydrocodone. And, since the amount of Acetaminophen is lower, that means that your headaches may be due to a slight withdrawal effect, because this medication isn't a potent. Have you consulted your doctor about the problem? This i...
I am having a second back surgery. The first time I was prescribed 10 mg Oxycodone Immediate REL Tabs every 4 hours. This time I am prescribed MS Contin 30 mg every 12 hours plus my regular medication of Norco 10-325 every 6 hours. Which is stronger the Oxycodone without the Norco or the MS Contin with Norco for surgical back pain relief. I regularly take on a daily basis Norco 10-325 every six hours prn, Metaxalone 800 mg 3x per day and Gabapentin 800 mg 3x per day. I will continue my regular prescriptions. Please advise which will be the best for back surgery pain relief. ## Hello, Gary! How are you? Overall, the MS Contin with added Norco is stronger, but only if the Norco is figured in. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit f...
Will oxycontin show up as morphine on a drug screen ## Hi Sherry, Both Oxycodone (oxycontin) and Morphine can test positive for opiates; so depending on the quality of the test given, there's always a chance for a false-positive discrepancy between the two. Furthermore, many of the standardized drug tests typically used for screenings lack the sensitivity to distinguish beyond the basic structures of the drug class vs. the drug name; making the odds of a false-positive even greater. I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## I was taken 40mg Oxycontin 2x daily for my chronic daily headaches. I was called in for a urine test & immediately stopped my meds cuz they said I tested positive for Morphine when I never touched it. Then 6 mos later I was taking 20mg Oxycontin ...
I am 8 months pregnant. Want to know what is the effect of using ecosprin during last 3 months of pregnancy? ## whats the effect? ## The active ingredient in Ecosprin is Aspirin (ASA) and it should be abstained in the third trimester of pregnancy. According to the FDA it is not formally assigned a pregnancy category but it is most closely classified as falling into D, meaning that it is not safe. When my wife was pregnant her doctor said that the only pain killer she can take is Acetaminophen (the ingredient in Tylenol), or Acetaminophen with Codeine if absolutely necessary. I hope this helps!
I have been on 4 percocet a day for over a year but when I went today I was told that passport healthcare(low income/free healthcare) would now only permit 3 a day so doctor put me on an additional script of one oxicotin at bed to cover the change. I went to fill it and they said that a pa would have to be faxed and it could take 4 days and if not covered could be extremely high! Does anyone know why the change and if Passport covers this??
Updated in OxycodoneCan i take prothiaden and mersyndol together? ## Hello, Lin! How are you? These shouldn't be taken together, unless your doctor has instructed you to take them both. The Doxylamine, Codeine and Dosulepin can all increase sedation, which risks lowered heart rate, lowered blood pressure and this could potentially result in a coma and be fatal. As listed by the FDA, the Mersyndol is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The Prothiaden may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?
I started taking 1/2 of 500 mg metforim & 325 mg aspirin now my blood seems it's thicker & barely bleeds it starts clotting. When took 81 mg aspirin it starting bleeding & run. ## Hello, Susie! How are you? If you're concerned about your clotting factor, you should have it checked out by your doctor. However, you should be made aware that it can change, depending on your diet, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, stomach pain and hypoglycemia. Aspirin is an NSAID that is also used for blood thinning. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Please help!! I am new to this site, this is my first time posting on anything like this. I will be blunt and right to the point! Every month I get 120 Norcos, I have Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance, I live in Michigan! Can I get two early refills back-to-back if I call my insurance company and explain the situation!? We're going out of the country on the 12th and won't be back in till next month and I will definitely be on my medicine by then! But the only problem is I just got a refill last month on the 27th! And last month I called my insurance and got it filled 12 days early because I left on vacation out of country! So now I'm just wondering if I can do this two times in a row? And just pay out-of-pocket!? Or can I go to another pharmacy and say that I don't ha...
He has a slight colds or fever can I give him this kind of medicine (symdex-D 325 mg/2mg tablet) and how much the dosage should he take in a day... ## I am having difficulty finding information on this medication, I have discovered that it contains Paracetamol and Phenylpranolamine, but it seems there is also a third ingredient and I cannot find out what it is. However, based on those ingredients, the dizziness can be a normal side effect, as well as nausea and drowsiness. In the U.S. Phenylpropanolamine is no longer available without a prescription, because it was found to greatly increase the risk of stroke in your women. As to answering the rest of your questions, who is 'he' and how old is he? ## I hava a painful menstruation due to my fibroid in uterus.what shall intake.

I know that generic Norco is weak. How can I get the real ' name brand' meds? ## If you're paying cash, you can just tell the pharmacy that you want the name brand only. However, if you have insurance, your doctor will need to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary', or whatever the equivalent is in your state. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, not all generics are problematic. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have already asked Costco and the hospital pharmacy for name brand, and they say they don't have the code to order name brand for narcotics. They say everyone ...
What does HCI mean on OxyContin packet . ## HCL stands for hydrochloride, it just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from. It's basically all Oxycodone HCL. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
