I need to know is it safe to take 100mg of tramadol with one 10mg of oxycodone? ## They are both classified as opiates, so you may experience more side effects than normal, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. However, there could also be a risk of overdose, if you are not opiate tolerant. In the future, it would be best not to combine them, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Did you experience any adverse effects?
I am 71 years young. I have diabetes 2, schizoaffective disorder, osteoarthritis and cervical spinal stenosis as major illnesses. For all this I take 1000 mg of metformin twice daily, risperidone 1 mg, bubropion hcl XL 300 mg, lorazepam 0.5mg 3 to 4 times daily, 750 mg of nabumetone once to twice daily, 100 mg of tramadol 3 times daily, and 900 mg of gabapentin 3 times daily. I have pinched nerves in my neck and have had many procedures including a rhyzotomy for the pinched nerves and neck problems. I still get around fine, drive a car, and have job. I also drink one or two beers most days after work. The only problems I've ever had with the medicines was strong sedation the first two times I took gabapentin. After that it never happened again. It also took 3 to 4 weeks for the tram...

Sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require more potent medications for the long-term treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Have you asked your PCP about referring you to someone? ## any body know a doctor in tallahassee fla that will give me my pain meds and anxty meds my doctor is moving and need another one by the 1st of next month anybody have any ideas please tell me asap please and pain mang here will not do it and wil not take new patients so what go through the with drawl and be in alot of pain i t...
Walgreens filled for me this time and b4 giving it to me asked "your allergic to tramadol? But you've taken norco?" Being in a hurry I didn't think about it..but I've had to take 2 and I'm itching and breaking out soo I think I'll have to ask them about that ## They are different medications, however, when someone discovers they are allergic to one medication, there is always a risk that they may find more they are allergic to, as well. In such cases, it is best to stop taking it and consult your doctor immediately, according to NIH warnings, such reactions tend to get worse with repeated exposure. Has there been any change?
Which is better to take for relieving pain from a pinched nerve (hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325mg or ibuprofen 100mg)? ## They really aren't comparable, to be honest. Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever, while Ibuprofen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Which one has your doctor instructed you to take?
20mg Oxycontin OP doesn't seem to work as well for me. I take it 3 times a day with 15mg oxycodone breakthru. Can anyone suggest a replacement for the 20mg's. Would a 15mg oxycodone and a 5 mg oxycodone work as well. Thanks so much for your help. ## It would be the same dosage, but since those ones are not time released, it would not last as long to relieve your pain, so such a dosage would have to be taken more frequently. Generally the regular formulations have to be taken 3 to 4 times a day, as opposed to the every 12 hours that you take Oxycontin. There have been many complaints regarding the new formulation not being as effective as the original, as well as comments that it caused odd side effects. If you had a problem with it, I suggest reporting them to both Purdue and th...
I was taking Percocet 10and I have Hepatitis C my doctor changed it to Oxycontin when I went to get this filled for 30 pills my insurance would not cover it it cost $90 so what other medication narcotic can I ask my doctor for that does not have Tylenol in it? I would appreciate an answer thank you so much. ## Wow! I am so sorry, that's horrible. Prices have jumped so horribly this year. Oxycontin isn't available as a generic, but the regular formulation of Oxycodone is, so you may want to ask your doctor about possibly trying it. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## With hep u want to stay away from acetemetphrin!! Cha...
I pulled a good one. My RXs were not in sync; one for extended release one week and the other immediate release the next. So I'm out waiting and going through hell. All because I let my pharmacy only give me enough for 3 weeks. Now they say they can't give me the ones they kept. I really didn't know it was going to be that way. Has anyone ever had this happen? ## Yes, that is normal pharmacy policy for controlled substances. You'll need a new prescription from your doctor to get the rest, or to wait until your next fill time. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It just...
Hi, I had a work injury back in 2012 and now have three herniated discs and nerve problems. I have been to pain management who have done injections and radiofrequency ablations but with little success. I can't take Ibuprofen due to a bypass and reflux issues and tylenol doesn't help. I was being given Vicodin but now no doctor will prescribe it due to all the new laws and problems with abuse and addiction. I have been faithful to my primary and pain management doctor and even have my insurance on board to make sure I am a faithful patient and not an abuser. So I am in desperate need to find a doctor who doesn't tell me to go home, put ice, heat and rest or take tylenol. I have tried all the options besdes surgery which I was told wasn't the best option due to my age. Ple...
What is the different shapes and sizes and colors of ms contin 100mg ## Hello, Kp! How are you? I'm sorry, but since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, there are far too many tablets available for me to be able to list the detailed information about all of them. Do you have a certain pill you are questioning? If so, please post back with its description and the markings on it and I'll gladly check for you to see what it contains. Thanks! ## I have a pill that was said it was a tamdol it 100mg and it shape as a oval color is orange but has no code on it ## I have a pill tamdol that was said it was a tamdol it 100mg and it shape as a oval color is orange but has no code on it
I am taking 2 mg dilaudid for sciatica and muscle spasms prescribed by my doctor. If i cut the 2 mg dilaudid in half and take the whole thing, will it work faster in my system? It is not time released. ## No, it will still take about 15 to 20 minutes to start working. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Monica, No that won't speed the analgesia effect derived from taking oral Dilaudid tablets. You may wish to speak to your provider about an alternate medication. Oral Dilaudid especially in small incremental doses has little analgesic effect when pain is nerve or muscular in nature. Parental or IV route of admi...

To view a complete list of side effects please visit the link below... If you have any other questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to assist you. ## I had a knee replacemant recently. The doctor prescribed Hydrocodone which worked very well.Unfortunately, I don't remember the dosage. On the last refill I asked for they sent out Hydrocodone-apap 5-325. It did absolutely nothing for the pain. It was a different pill. I assumed it would be a lighter dosage but to do nothing was a real surprise to me. What do you think it is? ## Are you sure that is was Hydrocod...
I have a severe injury to my back that is not operable. I have been seeing a Pain Management doctor who will write scripts that are narcotics. We lost our Employment Insurance and only have Medicaid right now. Can you help us out, PLEASE!!! ## Hello, Bob! How are you? I am sorry that you're in so much pain. Unfortunately, there is no such list of doctors that can be provided for you. Technically, any doctor with a valid license to practice medicine could prescribe it, but due to government scrutiny over prescribing practices, many choose not to do so. In addition, if you go to a new doctor asking for narcotics, they are likely to view that as being drug seeking behavior. Thus, the best thing to do would be to find a new doctor that accepts your Medicaid, make sure they get a copy of...
I have a pill with 0027 on one side and a V on the other side below a line. What is the pill if it's not a percocet? ## This tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen, a generic or store brand of Tylenol. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?
My sister is under pain management and ran out of her dilaudid the day before her refill and so I gave her 2 of my percocet 10/325. She was given a drug screen to be sent to the lab and freaked out, worried the percocet would show up so she put powder from one of her lyrica pills in the urine! What do you think the lab report will show? ## She should be prepared to be dismissed. That is the most desperately ridiculous act I've ever heard of. Persons unable to follow medication directions should not be prescribed them. Even an irresponsible frightened child wouldn't have resorted to theft level. I suggest she seek professional assistance to have a mental and or chemical dependency evaluation conducted. Just being real.
White round pill scored on one side with 44 on top and 148 on bottom. What is this? ## That is correct. This tablet contains Acetaminophen 500 mg (NDC 0182-1457). They are sold under the name Genapap Extra Strength. It is available over the counter and commonly used to treat pain and fever. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. ## They are a generic tylenol ## No they are a genetic version of. DramaMine. For motion sickness. ## For headaches. Tylenol generic. Extra strength. Ok to take. Won't cause drowsiness and will relieve your pounding headache ## No they aren't. Big difference in motion sickness and headache reliever. Get your facts straight before posting. People come here for answers not guesses. We owe them the straight answer.
I recently got 80mg OC OxyContin that are green but they do not help me at all, it's almost as if they were fake. Does anyone know about them? Are the OC coming back? I need to know right away! Thanks so much! ## No, at this time Purdue has no intention of bringing the original formulation back to market. If that's what you have, they are either fake or extremely old and have lost efficacy, as medications tend to do over time. The FDA classifies Oxycontin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Switch to 40mg of opana they are just like the original 80mg oxycontin
I was diagnosed with bone cancer several years ago and prior to during and after surgery I was prescribed oc 80mg. Which most of the time worked to relieve my pain. After being blessed (or not now) and survived they changed to the op. understand why but in all honestly it ruined my pain managment. By not helping as well and I believe causing other problems as well. It doesn't cover my pain doesn't last as long and if I miss one dose I get very ill. Please purdue pharma do the right thing and help those that use it properly and that were lucky to survive go back to oc's or bring back 160's. Imbegging you do the right thing. We get treated bad enough from the stigma of oxy atleast give it to those who take and need the medication as prescribed. Sincerely. In constant pain ...
laraca, side affects and what the main purpose of this pill is for ## Did you mean to say Lyrica? This is the closest match i've been able to find to the spelling. Lyrica is indicated for the following: • Treatment of neuropathic pain from diabetic neuropathy or post herpetic neuralgia. There is not enough data to state that it should be used in all neuropathic pain. • Adjunctive therapy in adults with partial seizures with or without secondary generalization • Fibromyalgia • Generalized anxiety disorder A list of side effects can be view by clicking on the link below and scrolling down to the section called "adverse effects": If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can f...
I have had scripts for hydrocodone as well as codeine since 2009, roughly about 4-5 bottles. Also recently had bronchitis so I had 2 bottles of cough syrup. I never used the scripts for the hydro or codeine up until this last year and 6 months or so. I have arthritis, a shoulder and bone spur, also had wisdom teeth taking out and see a chiropractor for back pain. My question is, i've already tested positive once for "norco" and I sent them a picture of 1 of the 3 bottles I had and it was fine. I have another hair test coming up and like I've said been using the scripts I had the last year all gone now. But on a 12 panel hair test are all the scripts I had considered the same or is it not gonna matter? Because I've had the scripts since 2009 and the latest in 2017, be...
