i found a pill tylenol looks like regular or genaric but some one told me it was a hospital tylenole 3 does a tylenol 3 have no marking? and its long like a tablet ## Hello, Amy! How are you? No, even the ones dispense in hospitals have markings on them. Tylenol 3 contains Acetaminophen and Codeine, it is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It is available only by prescription and all manufactured prescription medications in the U.S. are require to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency, even in a hospital setting. That said, that means it is an over the counter product and from the description, I agree with you on what it most likely c...
I have just had my generic Tramadol manufacturers switched by Rite-Aide and I am having serious problems with the new one. Rite-Aide says that they cannot get and will not get Tramadol from the former supplier. I cannot afford the non-generic drug. What recourse do I have? I was also told I cannot get a refill from a different pharmacy until this prescription has run out. I cannot take any other pain medication because of extreme sensitivity to them. It is vital that I have Tramadol but cannot take the ones I was just given from having the prescription filled at Rite-Aide. Please advise! ## They have not misinformed you and were honest. What types of problems are you having with the new one? It might be easier to get advice, if you are more specific. The FDA lists the typical side effec...
Hi. I am a 58yo female with a 6 yr old back injury, was diagnosed and have had surgery/treatment for breast cancer - all clear. Menopausal flushes have returned with an absolute whack. At the moment I take 10mg of Endone before getting out of bed. Last night I started Gabapentin 300mg. I work 10hr days, with Tuesdays off so okay to take Gabapentin this morning as no driving/concentration at work not an issue. Does anyone else take this combination of meds? Just wondering if one offsets the other etc. Tnx for any input.
Updated in OxycodoneI have been given hysingla er 20 mg. Have had 11 back surgeries including a spinal cord injury surgery. Severe pain. Been on it 2 days. Not much relief yet. If not dissolvable, how does it metabolize in the stomach to release medicine? ## Hello, Percy! How are you? The medication is slowly released, thanks to your stomach acid, your stomach acid is very strong and can dissolve many things that cannot be broken down by water or other liquids. Though, it's a gel substance, the best example I can give would be perhaps a sponge that you soak and then let sit somewhere... the liquid that soaked it is slowly released for a certain period of time, it doesn't all drain out at once and cause the sponge to be immediately dry. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so ...
I am on palexia/ tapentadol 500mg sr and 100mg ir as well as up to 50 mg of oramorph . I eventually get some pain relief after taken the total dose of oramorph which is 10mg every two hours. Instead of having to wait the 8-10 hours for the oramorph to kick in could i safely double or treble the dose of oramorph at the beginning of the evening when i take my first dose ## Hello, Geo! How are you? I'd not suggest changing your dosage, unless your doctor approves. These narcotics can cause depression of the central nervous system, which may result in lowered heart rate and blood pressure, so too high of a dose could put you in danger. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...
I have Oxycodone 15mg and I want to know if they are extended release? They are green and round with 4811 stamp on one side and V on the other side. ## No, they are not. These are manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals and they list them as being a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. At this time the only time released formulation of it that is available is the name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Is there anything else they can help with?
I was wondering if Acetaminophen could result in a false positive on a urine drug test? I had a bad chest cold so I've been taking Russian cough syrup, mucinex, and some other generic cold medicine that has, Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Phenylephrine. Would any of these cause a positive for methamphetamine? ## I took a 500mg Best choise pain relief with acetaminophen for a tooth ach pain will it show up in a urian or drug test
I take prescribed oxycodone 5mg with v on one side and 48/10 on the other. Tonight I think I took two at the same time by mistake instead of my usual 1 mg lorazapan for sleep. Instead of drowzy i feel nausous a little dizzy and too alert. is this normal and will it pass? Thank you ## I see this was posted a few days, so probably a little late for the answer, but I will still post it for future reference. Yes, those effects can be normal, in some people, when they suddenly take a higher dose and they will wear off, either when you return to your normal dose or your body adjusts to the new dosage. And just so you know, in the future, doubling up on a narcotic like that does create the risk of overdose, so you should know the problematic signs to watch out for, which may include shallow br...
I've been on 50mcg/hr Fentanyl Transdermal patch, for 9 years. I've had 4 major back surgeries and kidney stones and the patch does not work any more take the patch every 48 hours and now i'm going to a pain clinic and told them that i want off the patch;they told me to leave the patch on for 72 hours and they would give me 10mg off oxycodone to take 3 times a day. Is that enough because i'm hurting in such a way i cannot explain,i have been taking up to 4 or 5 a day and it seems to help a little better. what do you think i should do? ## Hello, Ozark! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. However, there is a higher dose of the patches available that you could switch to, it is also available in a 100mcg dosage. At this time, I doubt the Oxycodon...
I have been switched through my insurance to another pharmacy from CBS who always managed to game my brand and strength available on script day ( pretty important when you live as far from town as I do!!) At any rate all of my choices left had less than 5 patches or could no longer even obtain the Patch I was left getting the archaic WATSON 100 PATCH I HATE THESE?! This canny just be a local shortage? It must be at least chain store common, or was it a glitch and there are plenty around. I bought they even stopped making this kind of Patch because of abuse??!! Frustrated with Fentanyl! Ha ha ## This doesn't necessarily mean that there is a shortage, it's just likely that Mylan was offering a cheaper price, when they pharmacy needed to restock their supply, so that's what was...
what does IMM REL stand for after Morphine Sulfate ## IMM REL stands for Immediate Release ## That is correct, it means the medication starts to be released in your body immediately, as soon as you swallow it. There are 3 formulations of Morphine available, the immediately release, the regular release that usually takes 15 to 20 minutes to start working and a time released that is slowly released over a 12 hour period. Are there any other comments or questions? ## And the bio availability in the immediate release is horrible. Meaning you may only get maybe 5% of the pill. That's way some people plug them, it's like 90% bio availability meaning you will get most of the medication. Just a F.Y.I. ## What exactly do you mean by "plug them" I've been on the 15's Imedi...
ever since Mylan brand fentanyl patches went up in price i cannot find any place that offers that brand. they say they don't make any money on them anymore. well, they are the best and only brand that has ever helped my back pain and i need to find out who still has them and i am also on medicaid and there was never a problem with the price. please help. ## Hello, Papa! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no database of what pharmacy has a medication in stock, or what manufacturer's they carry. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You may need to adjust your dosage or add some other medication for breakthrough pain. Learn more Fentanyl details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea...
I found a light blue pill with the imprint "OX" over "80" on the same side. There are no imprints on the other side, just the OX 80, no underlines or any other markings. The pill is round, about a quarter inch wide, light blue on the outside, and white on the inside. Does anyone know what it is? I think it is a fake oxycodone 80mg pill, possible fentanyl or illicit drug?
Updated in OxycodoneI don't have insurance. I need to fill a prescription for Percocet 10/325 #90 in the Tampa, Fl area. Where should I go? ## Flash do you still need to know where u can fill ? i have an answer, so ppst back i see this from August 2016 ## Do you anywhere here in tampa i can get my prescription filled.. Tired of chasing pharmacies
My pain Dr. Writes 5 8mg. Dilaudid plus 1 60mg. Avinza 1every 24 hrs. time released morphine, I have been on the dilaudid 4-5 yes. Seems they don't work as well as they used to. What I do take would keep most people from sedated but I still have some pain and can't seem to do much with or without my meds. any suggestions? ## Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain. If I could suggest anything that might be of help, it would be to include natural treatment options that can safely be used alongside your medication(s) as a sort of adjunctive therapy. Depending on what type of pain your dealing with, I do know that some medical marijuana clinics offer a CBD/THC 50/50 concentrate that your spray a few times in your mouth and it helps relieve a very noticeable amount of pain in ...
I have used 150mg per day for six months, to deal with osteoarthritis in the hip. I moved from Oxycontin to Lyrica, and am satisfied with this decision. My hip replacement is pending within the next month or so. Lyrica is so effective in stopping the pain, I am wondering whether to stay on it, and keep pushing off the operation. The side effects that I have encountered are short term memory loss, decrease in stool volume and constipation. It is even hard to fart...perhaps it effects sphincter muscles in the body. I have put 8kg on since I began using lyrica, and I was initially alarmed when I developed trigger finger in all of my knuckles. I suffer from anxiety and depression, so was interested to see what the mood stabilizing aspect of the drug did. The depression is still there, but a...
I have been on the green actavis and they are the best you can get at Walgreens. However u might as well get use to it oxycodone we like for pain relief is going off the market. You better move where marijuana is legal and then tell those drug companies to take the crap. If the meds doesn't help relieve our pain we don't need pain clinic or physicians for pain management period and we don't need Walgreens either. We fight back by depending on God our real physician who heals any illness. Medical marijuana works good to give us a quality of life. Meds cause us sickness. ## I just recently posted about the new so called oxycodone that amounts to crap and is causing many innocent people to suffer in pain. We the people do not have to sit around and take this, we are going to pu...
The hospital prescribed me hydrocdone 5 365 its white oblong pill. Then my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone 5 365 but its white with red specks and a v on one side. Are they the same? I have just taken the rest of my white oblong pill and I'm wondering if I will be ok to take the speckled ones. I didn't know whether they are two different pills and if I can combine the medicication together? ## Hello, Courtney! How are you? If they are both Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen, then they are the same and taking them hours apart wouldn't be considered combining them, anyway. That would require taking them together, or very close together. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth...
