I was in a horrible accident. My Dr. Put me on Dillaudid 4 mg. After a half month I cut myself down to Dilaudid 2 mg. When that was gone, my Dr. Put me on Oxycodone 10, to keep down withdrawals. I've been on these for approx. 2 weeks. Is it safe to now cut my dose down, and how should I go about it? I DON'T WANT OR NEED THE WITHDRAWAL. ## It is not a time released medication, so as long as your doctor approves, you should be able to cut the pills to gradually reduce your dosage. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## If you have only been taking opiates (as prescribed) for about a month, and onl...

I was in an auto wreck and nothing else has worked, not the chiro, inj's., diclofenac, nothing. Methadone for pain kind of worked, but not like oxy. My doctor before moved, and now I have one who wants me to have painful inj's. which I am not really wanting when a pill is simple and I can stop and find out how I am doing any time. Is there any doctor in the Bay Area (Mountain View, Redwood City, San Jose, Hayward, Castro Valley, anywhere!) who will take this on? I am so tired of being told I need off of them. Plus, the inj's. aren't going to be covered due to Med Pay (we didn't have that, just basic car insurance), and so pretty much all these alternative places that don't do narcotics such as Gang Li and Dr. J ad the Comprehensive Pain Management Center are not ...

what companies still make fentanyl gel patch ## Unfortunately, I can't find a list of all current manufacturers, since it can change at any given time, when one company takes over another, or decides to stop manufacturing it. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Have you tried checking with your pharmacist? They should have a list of what's available and let you know which manufacturer's product they can order. ## I tried calling pharmacies. .. been on them since 06 and they treat u like a junkiee. Malincroft was bought by PAR. They have the gels. Some pharmacists will order for u. If I dont used gels.. the pain starts the early second day...by night..im in wds. oxycodone where do i get a prescription for oxycodone filed in ga. i go to the doctor pay hard earned cash then take my prescription to the pharmacy where i,m treated like i stole somthing what did i do wrong maybe i should just went to some drug dealer at least i would have been treated with respect ## You certainly aren't alone on this matter, and I completely agree with what you're saying. Most legitimate patients have recently been getting viewed as addicts or junkies, just because of the type of medication they were prescribed. Doctor's should be more sensitive to the nature of what's going on here, so they don't hand out scripts that can't be fulfilled. I think post #3 in the thread linked below may be of help to you in so far as informing your doctor about...

Taking opana ER 5 mg and 5 mg opana for breakthrough is not really helping. Can I take tylenol as well? ## They can be taken together, unless you've been instructed not to mix them. The FDA warns that these medications may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? What medical condition is being treated? ## Opana is now being taken off the market. As of Sept 1 2017. I myself have been on opana for 6 years for pain and IR for breakthrough. So Idk what we are going to do now to answer your question though yes when first prescribed opana was also prescribed Vicodin for breakthrough.

I accidentally took two 10mg opana tablets at the same time. What should I do? Please let me know. I have never done this before so please write me back as soon as possible. ## How long have you been taking it, or other opiates? There is a risk of overdose, the FDA lists such symptoms as possibly including nausea, severe dizziness, severe drowsiness, and somnolence. Did you experience any adverse effects? How are you doing, now? Are you on any other medications?

Is this a 30mg instant release pill? It's a round light blue pill with 224 on one side and a score on the other. ## No, this tablet is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals and they list as containing 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been living in Las Vegas for about 6 years after coming here from California. I have been on morphine for 15 years and now walgreens is giving me a hard time even though I fill them there every month. I read a great article online about walgreens, but what really blows me away is that we have vending machines with free needles and other supplies they need and I'm treated like a criminal. ## Hello, Christina! I am sorry that you are having problems. Can you post back and be more specific about the hassles they are giving you? If your doctor has written a new prescription each month and you have not had any issues to cause you to be flagged, there should not be an issue with them filling it, unless you are a new customer, or the dosages prescribed are not normal. The other di...

What pain meds can I use for joint pain? ## I'm allergic to codine and sulfa drugs. What can I take for lower back pain as well as all other joints. ## Hello, Binky! How are you? Only your doctor can prescribe an appropriate medication. However, there are quite a few options ranging from nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, like Meloxicam, to other opiates, such as Oxycodone or Dilaudid. As listed by the FDA, the NSAID are approved to treat pain, fever and swelling, so some people with joint pain do well with them. Their typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Opiates are used to treat pain, they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mou...

Hi, My wife had surgery and Dr gave Prescription for 5mg of oxycodone pills for bouts of pain in recovery .All the pills are small white round with A04, however It caught my eye that out of them I saw one that has the A04 imprint just like others but letters/numbers seem to be filled lightly in black and all the rest are identical with no black liner in the A04, but this ONE particular pill on the A04 imprint the letters and number are filled in black on the imprint. I thought this to be strange since all the others are not in black. Is this normal? Manufacturing glitch possibly? Not sure and don't want to take any chances in her taking this one particular pill, Should probably call pharmacy when its open just to make sure but thought I may find info online and found this Q & A ...

how do you get your child off of roxy's.....without withdrawals ## I'll be honest, I had no idea children were allowed to be prescribed such a horrible drug? Some precautionary guidelines I just found state the following: "Giving Roxicodone Oral to a child under 12: Relative Contraindication: MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO EFFECTS AND ADVERSE CNS EFFECTS, RESPIRATORY DEPRESSION." Referenced from: As far as withdrawal effects go, usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In any case though, I think if you were to b...

I am currently in rehab recovering from back surgery. I had three herniated disk in my back. My surgeon preformed Anterior Cervical Interbody Fusion surgery. I have been on 2 mg of Oxycodone every four hours around the clock for two months. I am a former heron user and have been clean for 7 years. I tried delaying taking my meds but after 5 to 6 hours, my withdrawal becomes too much. I cannot get the doctors here to understand how drugs effect me as an ex addict. This will not for be nor will I take that chance with my life. It has been great for the past 7 years after 20 years of being addicted. These places give people this drugs and have to plan other than to cut down the dose. I am going to be released in two weeks and have to return to work. I cannot go into detox, I have already b...

My friend and I are both prescribed Lortab APAP10/500's. I get the Watson 540 blue pills and he gets the M363 white pills. I have taken the white ones before, but for some reason, it did not help me as much as the Watsons. I don't understand this. Besides the manufacturer, is there any real difference between the two different kinds of pills? ## Besides the difference in manufacturers, there may be a significant difference in the inactive ingredients in each pill. Inactive ingredients found in M363 are: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid Each Watson 540 tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone starch steari...

I want to know if I can give my 11-year-old daughter who is 76-78 lbs. a Hydrocodone APAP 5mg 500 mg because she broke her thumb (doctor put a splint on) and it is throbbing. Doc just told us give her Ibuprofen but that's not helping so much tonight. Thank you ## Have you tried asking her doctor? The Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest giving it to any child, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. ## I would not suggest giving your daughter hydrocodone 5/500 the Tylenol dose for her weight is to much . I would agree with your doctor according to her weight she should take 3.5 tsp of children's Motrin. The reason for having pain at nighties she is most likely not elevating her hand on a pillow. If her hand is below her heart this will cause pai...

I tested positive for methadone last year and now my pain mgmnt. Dr. won't prescribe narcotic pain meds, but the tramadol doesn't help. He prescribed me hydrocodone once after about 6 months after the +drug test (I was taking 10mg oxycodone) but refuses to give them again. Is there any way to get my prescription drugs reinstated? ## Hi Sandra~ No way will your pain management doctor prescribe you Percocet ever again. That is done for good. Your best bet is to possibly go to a new pain clinic. And you might want to travel a little bit away from the area. It sucks nowadays because your medical records follow you wherever you go. So you're going to either have to talk to your pain doctor or just suck it up buttercup. I tell my daughter that all the time. She's not on pills....

How many milgrams are inside 1 30 milgram pill of oxycodone ## Hello, Bigtime! How are you? A 30mg tablet would contain 30mgs of the medication. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Are you seriously asking a question with your answer before the actual question. People are getting dumber and dumber, so pathetic.

What pill is this small red capsule with a white powdery substance in it? I was told it's hydrocodone 50 mgs. ## Hello, how are you? I have to say that I find it very doubtful. The only 50mg dosage available of Hydrocodone is a time released version that is sold under the brand name Zohydro... and under current FDA laws, unique imprints on such manufactured tablets and capsules are required, in order to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Are there any markings on this capsule? If so, please post back and clarify, so I can research further for you. Thus, while there is a small chance that it could be a foreign medication, since other countries are not obligated to abide by U.S. laws, it is much more likely that it is just some type of over the counter product and shou...
