I always show any hospital, dentist, etc my prescription and let them know exactly what the situation is and advise them I CAN NOT have opiates. I recently went to the dentist and has 5 teeth extracted and was in severe pain so he prescribed me tramadol. I then went to my normal Suboxone visit and took my urine test and was told it came up positive for Opiates in March, and positive for Methadone in April. I have not taken any of this and have no clue why it would be positive. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Thank you! ## Tramadol is a synthetic opiate; (a very weak one at that in comparison to oxycodone and other drugs in that class). But this would give reas...
Hi. I was taking aspirin delayed release 75mg. For last 3-4 years. As the tablet got over I requested one of my friend to bring the ecosprin tablet but he brought aspirin gastro resistance 75mg ..is it both are same. There is no problem of taking this medicine. ## Please what is the difference between aspirin dispersible 75mg and gastro-resistance asprin 75mg? ## @Post #1, I don't know if there's any inherent difference between the two, as from what I could gather, the dispersible tablets are said to be soluble and the gastro-resistant tablets are said to have an enteric-coating that is supposed to delay release and be easier on the stomach (providing longer lasting effects). Technically, both tablets are soluble - but the gastro-resistant tablets explicitly state that they last...

I have a prescription for Norco 4x a day, 120 pills total. The dr has written it for 20 day supply. When would be the soonest I could submit my refill? She wrote the refill for December 15th, last month I filled it on the 20th. Would I have to wait until the 20th again or can I submit it to CVS on the 15th? ## Anna, If the doc dispensed #120 with a sig. of one qid that's a 30 day supply. You'd have to wait 30 days from the filled on date so the 20th would be your available date. ## Do u get the norco 853's and 120 a month? I was wondering if i could ask my dr. to up my script from 90 to 120 a month because they dont seem to be working that good. Is this possible? ## @Craig - Yes, it is definitely possible. However.... It's solely up to the whit and whim of your doctor as...
Since we learned that "hydro" means water, what does "hydro" mean in the drug "hydrocodone?" All drugs are made with some water, aren't they? A student wanted to know why? Thank you. ## Hello, Fran! How are you? As explained by the FDA, a drug name is used to denote its chemical makeup and its drug category. The generic name, in this case Hydrocodone, which is an opiate, is chosen by the USAN (United States Adopted Names). There is also an agency to name them in Japan and other countries, though in many cases, they will keep a universal name, if possible. The actual chemical name of any given drug is far, far too long to use as it's actual name on the market, so what they name it results from a kind of shortening of that chemical name. As an example, here...
I have a round light blue pill from Mexico. There's nothing on one side except for the what appears to be the shape of a diamond on a diamond or perhaps a big V on a small v. There may also be a diamond shape inside of the V's. It tastes nasty and has a tongue-numbing effect. I was told here in Mexico that it's a painkiller.
UpdatedI took 8 10 mg hyocodone in 36 hr time period. In two days will half that amount show up on a urine lab test or more than half that amount? ## Will 5 norcos show up 72 hrs after i took them in a urine test ## Urine analysis does not show the amount used; however, the test will show a positive result more rapidly. ## I am prescribed norco for arthritis, I am wondering what does it show up as on a saliva test? Some people say norco and herion will show up the same on a saliva test. I have never used herion, so is this true or false? Thank you.
I have Osteoarthritis, possibly Fibromyalgia, and two knees that are bone-on-bone and need replacement. Even though I take Tramadol 300 ER daily and Arthrotec, 2 Tylenol, and 2 Aleve three times a day, I am still in pain. Forgetting to take meds or being out of meds for a day causes unbelievable aches everywhere except my fingers, elbows and toes. I cannot work and cannot sleep. I also get very emotional and angry and my BP goes up. I will soon be having my first knee replaced. The doctor said I will need to be off all the pain meds except for Tylenol. I do not believe I can do this. A couple times the doctor has given me steroids when I was having a flare up and it completely eliminated the swelling and pain. What medications could I safely take in the 2 weeks prior to knee replacement...
My pharmacy has been switching prescription generics between 15 mg oxycodone HCL tablets for more than a year now. It is not unusual for me to get a new generic every time I fill my prescription and in many instances they will give me two different forms of the generic for one prescription because they switch so often. They have now put me on AUROBINDO which does not work at all for my chronic pain and if that wasn't bad enough they also provide counterfeit information in the form of paperwork claiming that the drug I have been given is actually manufactured by Mallinkrodt. I have pictures of the label as well as documentation from the FDA that claims my prescription is from a manufacturer that it is not from. The other concern I have is that I spoke with my pharmacist about this an...
I'm quiting Opana using Suboxone. I've gradually come down from Opana ER 40 mg to 10 mg over a period of 6 months, and am switching today to Suboxone film. Dr told me to wait 24 to 36 hrs before starting Subs (wait till I can't stand the withdrawals any longer). Normally on 10 mg Opana I start to feel withdrawals within 12 hrs, can't get comfortable in my skin, can't sleep, restless leg etc. Problem is I ran out of 10 mg yesterday so the single last Opana I took was an ER 40 mg. It's been 30 hrs and still no noticable withdrawals. I don't want to start the Suboxone until feeling the withdrawals as instructed cause I don't want the Subs to kick in and suddenly block the Opana causing worse withdrawals. How long should I wait? ## There is really no precise ...
Is the m365 a Percocet or a approxcen? ## Hello, Phill! How are you? Neither, actually. This tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Hydrocodone, it is a generic for Norco. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is the M325 considered a percocet? ## So it doesn't effect you the same way a Percocet does?
My doctor has prescribed me 10 MG oxycodone for last few years due to chronic pain. However, they were always the round pink one's that had HCL on bottle. New one's I got today are white round one's that now say RHO, what's the difference? ## Hi Karen, The round white pill that have R over P on one side and 10 on the other are made by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals. I haven't found any information on the one's that are imprinted with "RHO", but I get the sense that this could possibly be an abbreviation for Rhodes Pharmaceuticals as well. To be 100% sure, you can contact Rhodes directly at 401-262-9400. If they do turn out to be the same 10mg oxycodone tablet, I would imagine that any differences would probably be found within the list of inactive ingredients, si...
My doctor won't let me have any more oxynorm. I've been having chronic pain for 2 years and a oramorph in dosage of 30 MG did nothing to help. I tried oxynorm which changed my life, 10mg three times a day. My doctor wouldn't refill the prescription but gave me slow release instead. I chewed a 10 MG slow release oxycontin tablet. Could this cause an overdose? Surely the 10mg dose cannot go any higher? ## Surely, your doctor has a duty of care? If this is working & he refuses to represcribe , then, if I was you, I would see a different doctor. If, you have no luck I'd change Surgeries.
I have been on opiates for over 10 years now and after refining the dosage amount finally found at sweet zone at 135mgs Morphine per day. I made a big mistake and asked my Dr if I could get rid of the day time Morphine and try something that would not be so sedative during the day. I was switched to Oxycodone from Morphine (not what I asked). The Oxycodone absolutely sucks as it only works for about 3 hours. I have asked several ways to get it changed and have now found myself being compromised. By me asking so deliberately they have now said they are taking all opiates away! I am freaking out, I am in tears in the morning and have to double dose in the AM to be able to not want to just give up. I started to argue with the Dr. and was just told there is nothing to do as that is the deci...
Are these pills legit? I think they're extremely low in oxycodone if not completely void of it. I also noticed the label on the bottle left the "e" off of oxycodone. Never saw that on any script i ever had. Whatever is going on these pills are garbage ## They are garbage and the tylenol in them is so bad for your liver. why don't you ask your doctor for oxycodone 10 mlg with no acetaminophen in them. ## This tablet is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a generic for Percocet. However, not every medication, name brand, or generic works for everyone that tries it. The FDA warns the Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, hea...
WHAT is a blue pill with 13 on one side and Blank on the other side ## Today at work I found a baby blue pill Layin around it's blank on one side and number 13 on the other side what could this pill possibly be ## These can sometimes be hard to read, is the marking possibly an 81? If so, it is a low dose, 81mg Aspirin tablet, which is an over the counter product. It's a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and in this dosage is most commonly used as a blood thinner. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. Learn more: ## This pill is a Loperamide HCL 2mg soft gelatin capsule. It is an anti-diarrheal pill with no narcotic effects ## I'm sorry but i think the previous answers are wrong, I have a whole bottle of what your describing in my ...
Hello, I know someone who is prescribed Hydrocodone-- 10mg-325 acetaminophen mg and Morphine-15mg. This person said on a "good day" they take 60mg of hydrocodone which would be 1950 mg acetaminophen as well as the 30 mg of morphine a day- again on a good day. I do not know much about all of this- so my question is- how dangerous is this? Thanks for all your help! ## It being dangerous, or not, depends on the person and their tolerance to opiates. If they have been taking them for awhile and their doctor has prescribed them this way, things are most likely fine. The biggest issue with the medications and amounts you've mentioned would actually be due to the Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that you should not exceed 1,000mgs of it per any 8 hour time period, and no more than 3,00...
My pharmacist changed manufacturers and this is what I was given for my percocet 10/325. Can anyone help verify if this is the correct medicine? ## @BamBam, A white oblong pill imprinted with I 71 is reportedly identified as Bupropion HCL extended-release (300 mg), which is an antidepressant medication. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Cipla USA and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 69097-0876. I'm not sure why the pharmacist would say that this is Percocet, as surely they are mistaken based on the pill description. I would contact them right away if you haven't done so already... Hope this helps!
I have severe stabbing pain in my shoulder. When the pain starts my blood pressure shoots to 220/140 with a 133 pulse. I was prescribed Hydrocodone and sometimes if I don't get a severe attack it works. If I have a big attack I have Dilaudid prescribed as well. Question: If a take a Norco and the pain increases do I need to wait the full 6 hours to take a Dilaudid; or, what's the soonest I can take it? ## What are the prescribing instructions? I'm sorry, but I need more details in order to answer your question. Can you please post back and clarify? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dizziness, headache, nausea, and dry mouth. ## dont take delauded and hydrocodone together wait several h...
i went to the er cause i was have severe pounding pressure on the back of my head, well they gave me iv meds and sent me home with this OxyCODONE script. I'm highly allergic to all and related Tylenol, Aspirin, and ibuprofen meds .. and I need to know if the script I have is safe for me ..... ## Hello, Jess! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you had. Oxycodone is a narcotic analgesic, so it is not related to Tylenol or any NSAID. The FDA lists this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Im allergic to ibuprophin and adpirin and codeine. The dr wants to give me leep surgery and he said i w...
