Oxycontin Chewed Danger?

My doctor won't let me have any more oxynorm. I've been having chronic pain for 2 years and a oramorph in dosage of 30 MG did nothing to help. I tried oxynorm which changed my life, 10mg three times a day. My doctor wouldn't refill the prescription but gave me slow release instead. I chewed a 10 MG slow release oxycontin tablet. Could this cause an overdose? Surely the 10mg dose cannot go any higher?

Surely, your doctor has a duty of care? If this is working & he refuses to represcribe , then, if I was you, I would see a different doctor. If, you have no luck I'd change Surgeries.
