I have been under the care of several prominent Pain Specialists for severe neuralgia. I am prescribed six 10/325 Percocet daily every 6-8 hours for pain. I take them two at a time, five hours apart. Noon, dinner and unwinding with the TV at night. Some days I take four, some days I take eight. Sometimes I take 3 at a time. I also take Lyrica, Nortriptyline and Zyprexa for their pain benefits plus several other medications. I never run out before the end of the month, there is never a desperate moment. Frankly, I am not sure if they even work any more as they should. If I am prescribed 180, 10-325 Percocet say each month for the past two years, that is well over four thousand pills. I was prescribed to take 1-2 Norco every 8 hours as needed for pain. How long should they last me before my next prescription? Thanks ## Hi Tee - would you happen to know how many tablets in total are in the prescription bottle? Based on what you have said so far, 1 tablet every 8 hours is 3 tablets per day. So, that's about 90 tablets per month. Could you write back with how many tablets are in the entire prescription? ## If you are taking 2 tablet every 8 hours, that is six tablets a day. Divide the number of tablets the prescription is for by the number of tablets you take a day. Or you can look on the information sheet from the pharmacy. Hey guys, I recently had my script filled at my Walgreens and they switched to Par Pharmecuticals for my Norco 7.5/325 ( which I've been taking for years ) it's now a peach pill with a cursive v on one side and 36/05 on the other. Has anyone taken these before as I have never seen these in the past 7 years under my pain management "care." I have to take them for my Degenerative Disk Disease, slipped fusion, osteoarthritis all the way up my spine, narrowing disc space causing pinched nerves and a new herniated disk. I'm 36 and refuse to go back on fentanyl. Just wondering if these have caused problems with anyone. My wife is having Poly cystic ovarian problem. And Dr prescribed her tab. G reg sr and tab. Ecosprin 75. So what is the use of Ecosprin75. I've been on percocet 10-325 for about a yr for my back. It was working pretty good until the pharmacies started using this Mfg. out of India. What is happening? These don't take care of the pain and I get nothing but gas and diarrhea. What are they putting in our drugs now? Guess I'll have to go to the FDA. Something has to be done. I take motrin 800 mg, a co-worker gave me a white oblong pill that has the number 391 on it. She said it works like motrin. Her mother takes them ## Sun Pharmaceuticals states this tablet contains 600mgs of Oxaprozin, which is also a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. However, since this is a prescription medication, you should not take it, if it has not been prescribed for you. It may not be safe for you to take. Are you on any other medications? Do you have any diagnoses medical conditions?

Hi everybody! I've been on "Amneal" oxycodone HCL 20mg tabs (1 three times daily) for about three years, I just pick my prescription up today and it was "Rhodes" brand oxy's! Is one better than the other? I never felt that "Amneal" ever works that grant in the first place, so I really can't afford to get something that is even LESS affective! I take hydrocodone 500 Mg x3 a day, gabapentin 300mg, bid; carb /levo25-100mg at bedtime for restless leg; Synthroid 0.15 once a day, Metformin Hcl ER 500mg once a day, cymbalta.,30mg, 1 capsule, once a day (I take in evening). If Opana was designed to be non-addictive, how did my granddaughter become addicted to it; or did she? She is now in jail and says this is the drug she has been taking and paying $40.00 a pill for. ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and I'm not aware of anything stating it was designed to be non-addictive, the possibility of being habit forming and abused is actually prominently warned about it the drug information monographs about it. How can my pain management doctor find out that i take more of my medication than i am suppose to if I never run out? I always take less towards the end of the month. Like some days i take 6 when i should only take 3 a day. How will a drug test show what i take if at the end of the month it all balances out? ## If you are prescribed a certain dosage to be taken at certain dosing intervals, then the detectable levels in your body should fall within a certain range and if you aren't taking them consistently, as prescribed, then your levels will be off and your doctor will be aware that there is a problem. I have been prescribed 10 milligram Oxycodone four times a day. I am 5'5 and weigh 148 pounds and I work 2 days a week serving food and am very active even though I am 64 year's old. I have only been taking 1/2 of a 10 milligram once a day, everyday. I went to my doctor a few days ago and one hour before I went I took one 10 milligram dose and was tested ten minutes after I arrived at the doctor's office. So, one hour and ten minutes after I took a 10 milligram they did a full urine test. I am wondering if my levels will be low in the urine test that was taken that day? If the new type is working for you then great. I and several people I spoke with said it gets stuck in your throat even with food. Plus it does not last 12 hour. I would like to know about more about Tylenol #3 with Codeine. Uses, side effects, etc... ## Tylenol #5 is only dispensed to inpatients. You can not get a script for it, but they do exist. I was given them after surgery for a perirectal abcess. ## I am wondering if someone can please tell me if 975 Tylenol has any codeine in them? I took a hydrocodone at 8:40a.m. and that same morning had a urine drug test at 11:20 will it be detected? ## i dont take hydrocodone and i took a half of a 10mg and had to do a drug test 2 days after will is show up??? ## Kayla, the normal time it takes to be detected in a urine test is about 3 hours, so it's hard to say. You were pretty close to that and it's always going to vary from person to person. Why is Morphine showing up in my urine when i take Opana ER and Oxycodone IR? ## I want to know the same thing. I went yesterday and I was positive for Morphine, Hydromorphone, hyrdrocodne and oxycodone. The only hard drugs I take are Opana 30mg, Klonopin.5, Restoril 15mg, zanaflex. He got all over me and I haven't taken anything other than what I am RX'ed.
