I am going to use some intravenously, I have all new, clean needles etc. I would like to know how to do it right. ## SWIM found out how to get the fentanyl off the patch, but decided not to go the I.V route. Thanks ## thank god...you would have killed yourself.it doesnt matter how high your tolerance is sweetie.im a long time addict(seems that way anyway)i was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition at 7 now im 34.i was on fentanyl 200mcg every 72hrs.i figured out a way to abuse it without chewing the nasty s***.on the box it says do not put in direct sun or let it get over a certain degrees.so i put my heating pad on it on med heat to see what would happen.well let me tell you i felt ...
I am taking 150mg to 300mg of Lyrica daily. The problem here is that I do not have a prescription. I take them from my boyfriends' bottle which he is prescribed. I am on other medication that are prescribed to me such as; Methadone, Prozac, Lorazepam, Seroquel (just to name a few). I started taking Lyrica because I was curious. Now I am addicted to the stuff and I'm too afraid to tell my doctor or my boyfriend. I am more depressed, anxious, think about death all the time and cry constantly. I have difficulties communicating to my therapist because when I open my mouth to speak, I begin crying uncontrollably. I am a mess, and I am afraid that I will eventually exit stage left. ## Hi, Ashley! Sorry about the issues you're having. Lyrica is actually not an opiate pain reliever,...
this dose was prescribed by my pain Dr for ra. I do not tolerate any of the oxy drugslike Percocet I hallucinate. theprescribed dose of hydrocodone is not cutting the pain. it's ok to take another if I'm still in pain after one hour? ## If your meds aren't working, talk to the pharmacy first. Ask if they changed manufacturer? Keep a ear out for aurobindo or aurolife.... They seem to be defective....but I won't know till I get independent lab work done. 2nd, call your doc..hell email if you have to, but please! Don't ever go against what's prescribed to you! Its not such a hot idea. Good luck! :-) ## I agree with what post #1 had suggested in regards to contacting the pharmacy as well as your doctor first. There are a number of different manufacturers of this medi...
I have no idea what this tiny pill is. Many years ago when I broke my hip, I got smallish pills like this, but I recall they WERE white, had a capital M inside a square on one side, and a score line on the other side with "15" printed on the upper half scored side of the pill. I’ve read that oxycodone 15s are real light green in color. Oh really? Mine is definitely white, and conforms to all other stated characteristics on this site. Could the color fade over time? Or am I just unable to pick up an alleged light green tint? Would love to know what I found here when trying to clean out under my dresser. Help appreciated. PS: if this IS an old oxycodone 15 mg pill like I used to take, it would have to be from pre-2012. Maybe 15 mg oxycodones were white back then? I always ha...
Updated in Oxycodonei'm taking 200mg twice a day of MS-contin and have been for many years for my severe back/leg/hip/sciatica pain but there are times when my pain still knife's it way through it.Should the dosage be increaed or should I as my Dr for something else or add to the MS? ## Ask him about medication for nerve pain ## Hello, Rich! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Along with what BL suggested. (Thank you, BL!) Oxycodone and Fentanyl are both stronger opiates than Morphine and both are also available in time released formulations. You may want to ask your doctor about trying one of them, as well. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsine...
I know Fentanyl is supposed to be stronger than Morphine however it does not help me nearly as much! I wish so bad that I could go back to MS Contin TR 100 mg three times a day with Morphine Instant 30 my PRN for break through pain. That worked so much better than Dilaudid or Fentanyl to me but I had to change doctors and now I can't get what works best! This leaves me in bed 90 % of the time! This SUCKS!!! This is not what I became a RN to do!!! ## Hello, Sis! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Not every medications works well for everyone that tries it, regardless of how strong they are and your doctor should be aware of that. According to the NIH, it's normal to sometimes have someone that has to try several, before finding one that works best or having ...
Began taking morphine in 2013. Thought my Addictions were behind me with family happy as I was. 6 months later on a dosage of 140 mg daily I’d gained 40 lbs, legs were swollen from arthritis and all I could eat was sugared cereal and drumsticks. I felt good until my weight hiked to 248 lbs. I was 100 lbs over my normal weight and sweating from menopause as well as side effects from meds. I hung in there but here I sit Feb. 2018 the only thing changed is my dosage is down to 16 mg. I’m now depressed, simple tasks have me gasping for air, knees are disfigured from arthritis, the only plus I’ve seen is the sweating has let up. I have no control over any part of the rest. Exersize, isn’t possible. Last week I finally found a Dr a GP who had run some tests. My body was t
Updated in MorphineI have been taking v3601 yellow norco since I have had 2 spinal fusion done and they work great. One pill lasts about six hours. Now my pharmacy switched to IP 110 and I have to take 3 to 4 pills every 4 to 5 hours and they make me feel weird. I don't care what anyone says, there is a difference in the two. The ip110 are complete garbage and should be taken off the market. I am in so much pain still after 4 pills and feel like crap. How can this manufacturer think no one would notice the difference? So now I have to go all month (well I won't make it all month) taking two to three time more a day than normal. I will run out. This is such crap. So now I am forced to take more then prescribed a day just to somewhat help the pain instead of taking less to help the pain. Completely ...
So I take suboxone and I relapsed this week, last night in fact. I know it was stupid of me and I have been clean for over 8 months. I just broke down mentally due to something in my life. It's no excuse but it happened. I don't need to get counseled please. I took 8 10/325 norcos about 11pm Thursday and was told I have a test at 9am Monday. I have a very high metabolism and haven't done anything prior to this. I hate myself for doing this but what is done is done. I am a single dad and cant afford to get cut off from my doc. I simply can't function without it as before I started I took 300-500mg of oxycodone daily. I have done the program perfectly except this fault. Will I still be able to pass my test Monday? I'm scared as if I am off suboxone I will not be able t...
My doctors don't seem to think there's much withdrawal if there is med in the pump. I know the change in med will cause withdrawal. Has anyone been in this situation? I've read about handling withdrawal here. I just wonder how this may work and how much the med in the pump will help. ## It really depends on what dosage they are giving you of the Dilaudid, if they make sure it is equivalent to, or a little higher than the amount in your Fentanyl patch, then you shouldn't experience any withdrawal issues. Withdrawal only occurs if a medication like this is completely stopped, without being replaced with anything else. Your doctors should calculate an equivalent dosage and set the pump up to deliver that amount, which is why they probably aren't worried about withdrawal...
I had seen my Dr last week and signed a narcotic agreement for dilaudid but he had me do a urine test the day of. I had some percocet that I was hoarding and had been prescribed for when I was in extreme pain this month from a knee surgery. I have severe bilateral stenosis of my c5 & c6. That is why my family Dr was going to give me dilaudid. Anyway, the urine test came back today and now he has cut me off of any narcotic meds. The last time I had taken any percocet was about five days before my urine test. I don't feel I should be cut off just like that because they were in my system before I signed the agreement. ## I am not currently a patient yet but would pain management refuse to treat me from the first initial urine test being positive for marijuana?
I am relocating from Maui to Las Vegas, summerfield area. I would so appreciate anyone who could recommed a Chronic Pain Doctor who is not afraid to medicate you properly. Most chronic pain patients know what I have been through with Dr.'s who hassle, disrespect and treat you as though you are just a drug addict when truely, without our medications, life is unbearable. Someone rear ended me and broke my back 13 years ago and have had chronic pain ever since. I recently also had nuerosurgery on my neck, (C3) because my spine is deteriorating. I now have another area of pain from that. My Maui Dr. was wonderful, a caring man who really understands and cares about providing the proper medication to give you the best quality of life you can have. I currently take 3 30mg morphine, 6 to 8...
I need a pain management doctor in Mississippi that will write my pain meds! I have oxycodone 30 and methadone 10 on my pharm print out. If anyone knows of a dr, please let me know, I don't need both meds, just one or the other! Please help ASAP!! ## Do you have a current doctor that you see regularly? Because you are most likely going to need a referral to pain management. Under the new laws that went into effect at the beginning of the year, regular doctors aren't going to be allowed to prescribe such medications for long-term usage. Learn more pain management details here. Except for certain limited exceptions, they will only be allowed to prescribe them for short-term use, such as for a few weeks after someone has had surgery or been injured. ## Dr Robert van Coleman in Flor...
i take metans it is a purple pill it is for pain in my legs, i am a type 2 . it makes me sick in the stomach. ## Pregabalin (Lyrica) is used to relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves) that can occur in your arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, or toes if you have diabetes. Metanx is a vitamin supplement noted to provide the distinct nutritional requirements needed by diabetes patients to restore the metabolic processes associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. According to Metanx's webpage, by restoring these metabolic processes, you may begin to feel the difference in one or more of the following: Numbness in Feet Burning Pain in Feet (especially at night) Shooting Pain Tingling Feet Improved Sleep That said, I wouldn't necessarily call Lyrica a substitute for Me...
Been taking oxycodone-acetaminaphen 10-325 for about 5 years for chronic back pain. Had the best control of pain from Malinkrodt Manufacturer of this Med. Pharmacist gave me Qualitest once and it failed miserably in controlling my pain. Now they want me to try Rhodes brand. How does Rhodes really compare with my favorite Malinkrodt? ## There are many variables that come into play when determining if one brand is better than another, and the answer to this question tends to be different for each individual based on things like tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, how their body responds to different binders/fillers, etc. Any number of these factors can affect one's perception (without them even knowing) of which tablet they prefer and why t...
I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the ...
I have severe back pain from 2 herniated discs, sciatica, disc degeneration and arthritis. I have been taking hydrocodone for years. Started off with 10/750 but now with the changes, down to 10/350. I also take methocarbamol. I've started going to pain management and the doctor has prescribed fentanyl patches 12.5 mcg, along with the hydrocodone for breakthrough pain. So far I've been on the patches for 15 days. After the first few days, I did get some relief but now I'm back to the same pain I was having before. Since this is just the beginning of my prescription with the patches, do they usually increase the dosage? The few days I felt better, it was so nice because it's been years since I've been free of pain. Thanks in advance for your help. ## Hello, Lana! How a...

A dilatin replacement, less likely to make you sick when you stop taking it. Starts with the letter d, is not an opiate. ## Did you mean a replacement for Dilaudid? Learn more Dilaudid details here. Dilantin is not an analgesic. Learn more Dilantin details here. I could help you better if I was clear on what exactly you're looking for. Is it an analgesic of some type? ## I have a lot of pain from hip to knee. I am using Naproxen, but not much relief. Looking for a stronger medicine, going on vacation and want to be pain free to have fun with grandchildren. I was told a pain reliever sounds like Darposet or something with the letter D. ## I need a name of some painkillers starting with the letter d, they have some strange shape, small and white in color ## I was a pharmacy tech for 1...
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008. Over the years my nerve pain has gotten a lot worse. The pain has gotten so bad that it's ruining my life. I cant walk due to my legs not working correctly and experiencing a loss of all balance. I have pain everywhere but it's the worst in my feet. My Dr. has me on 10 mg oxycodone for about 5 years now. I was on percocet prior but I worried about my liver with all the acetaminophen. My problem is I'm not sure if I have built a tolerance or if I should be taking more at a time but it's not doing much for me. My pain never goes away. The pills slightly take the edge off for about an hour. That's it! I have tried 3 different types and strengths of pain patches and they didn't do anything. I tried morphine with the sa...
