For pain I was taking hydrocodone, and it makes me so sick with an awful lot of nausea and throw up. I don't wanna take this medicine... still got pain... Can I take ibuprofen instead? Thanks. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? It will not likely provide as much pain relief, and due to the risk of bleeding it can create, you should double check with your dentist to be sure it is safe for you. The FDA lists its other side effects as possibly including headache, dizziness, and stomach irritation. Are you on any other medications? Will you be getting a partial soon? ## Just got my gallbladder out and it seems the norco 5-325 only helps for a short time; so I was wondering if I could mix ibuprofen with norco? ## Can Norco & Ibuprofen be take...
My partner has been taking two 200mg Ibuprofen every morning for about 3 years. He has become quite lethargic, lost his appetite and is sleeping 12 hours per night. Is it the tablets? ## It is really hard to say, those aren't typical side effects for that dosage. The NIH lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Is he on any other medications that you know of? When was the last time he consulted a doctor? ## I was in a car accident when i was 17, i am now 57. My head went in the back of the drivers seat and broke my nose. There were 5 of us in a little Pinto and we hit the curb on our side of the road and spun went airborne and hit a tree head on. They never checked my spine after that and when i got to be abt 3...

Can you tell me where you obtained it? ## I think you have read the imprint code upside-down. Instead of I9 it should be 6I. The oblong white pill with 6I is Ibuprofen 600 mg, manufactured by Dr. Reddy's. ARE THE WATSON 750 VICODIN GOING TO BE DISCONTINUED? WHY? IS NORCO GOING TO REPLACE THEM? I HAVE A CONCERN BECAUSE I LIKE THE VICODINS BECAUSE THEY TAKE AWAY THE PAIN I HAVE AND GIVE ME ENERGY. I SUFFER FROM BACK PAIN AND DEPRESSION DUE TO A FALL AT WORK. ## They are only changing the amount of Acetaminophen. But, they are doing that to all medications that contain Acetaminophen. The amount of Hydrocodone won't change. ## No, this is a good thing. Finally drug makers are being sued for people's liver failure. I had been wondering for years when they would take it off the market. Particularly harmful to addicts because who counts the acetaminophen dose when you want to swallow a fist full of Vicodin? The active ingredient and the purpose of this drug is hydrocodone 5/10 mg per ta...

The Dr immediately started me at 4 10mg percocets per day in mid 2011. I ended up failing a UA for a street drug in ...
My pain doctor is retiring in September. I have idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitis (not caused by drinking), I have never been a drinker. The last 14 months I have been functional and continued working despite my pain. The 8 years before that, I suffered every day, looked like a walking skeleton, because the docs at my previous pain clinic made me get a splanchnic block that caused severe sciatica so I could not sit for 2 weeks after each one, trying to work was pure hell, and I could not get my under-treated pain treated properly. It was not enough to keep me living life well. This disease slowly worsens, I will die early as a result of this, and I spent every day off work in awful sleeping/waking hell (fragmented sleep that was not restful) because of maltreated pain. Now I know what it ...
Me and my boyfriend decided we were going to do a binge on pills. He took 20 clonazapam 1 mg and 7 hydrocodone 5/500 in a period of 12 hours...this was on October 11th 2012 he slept great and was functioning properly. He left my house at 8 and went and drank at our friends house. Our friend said he couldn't carry on a two minute conversation without falling asleep. Our friend took him back to his parents and had to practically carry him inside. October 12th I got no response all day and around 8pm I called and his phone is off. It had been off the entire day. It's now October 13th at 6:00 a.m and his phone is still off. He's a really heavy sleeper...I'm just worried. I took 9 and a half 1 mg clonazapams and 5 hydrocodone 5/500's and I slept pretty good and was very d...
I got these from the va this month instead of the ones I hated..( the ones marked M367)...they look the same as the yellow hydro by qualitest...except they're white & the numbers are different... I would like to know everyone's opinion of this medicine..? After taking the m367s...these are great... To me... ## They are manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness. I am very glad that they are working for you. Has anyone else had a good experience with these tablets? ## I too have just gotten these from the VA Pharmacy in Orlando. They are terrible....
These pills suck! They are nothing like the old ones ## Hi LadyM, Sorry to hear about your experience with those Oxycodone pills. From what I understand, because each pill is manufactured by a different company, not only is there going to be a slight variation of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), but also if the medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient as well. For some people, these subtle differences are the equivalent of taking a completely different medication that may be absorbed and metabolized differently within your body (usually resulting in an increased or decreased potency). I hope this helps clear things up for anyone else trying to understand what might be going on with their medic...
Starting January 1st 2018, Cigna will no longer cover most OxyContin prescriptions in its group plan, according to CNN. Instead, they have entered a contract with Collegium Pharmaceuticals who manufactures Xtampza ER, another extended release version of Oxycodone. Their stated reasoning is because of the allegedly superior abuse deterrent properties of Xtampza ER. Mind you, the study finding that Xtampza ER was harder to abuse than OxyContin was conducted by Collegium themselves. As you might imagine, Purdue Pharma (OxyContin's manufacturer) is not happy about this at all. They seem to think that it is more about the pharmaceutical rebates for Cigna. But none of this fluff matters. What matters are all of the PATIENTS and how it may or may not affect peoples' daily lives! While ...
I was on liquid Methadone for chronic pain for years and while on waiting list to switch to a new Pain center, I was weaning off methadone rapidly at 2mgs a day from 120 to 38mg. I was also on 20 to 40 mgs a day oxycodone for breakthrough pain. Now, last month, my new doc put me on 25mcg/h patch. Yesterday, he informed me that I am now ONLY getting pain management from him (understandable) and cut me off and did not prescribe any more oxycodone and I was to stop at 38mgs methadone. Bottom line, will a 50mcg/h patch I started today be enough for my pain and withdrawals? I am scared. ## Did you discuss your concerns with him? The Fentanyl is a very strong narcotic, over 80 times stronger than Morphine actually, but while it can handle pain very well, you may still experience some breakthr...
Does 15mg oxycodone have aspirin or acetaminophen in it? I'm going to have surgery tues and need to know. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? No, there is no 15mg Oxycodone that contains any other ingredient. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If it included another ingredient, you'd see two dosages listed, like 5/325mgs or 10/325mgs. But 10mg is the highest dosage available of the combination products. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you.. I am facing another knee replacement soon and the information you provided I am grateful for.. ## Thanks for answering I have hep c and my Dr is trying to put me on somet...
I'm on oxycontin 80's and I've been on them for 8 yrs. I am required to take a test every 6 mos. I've never had any problems until october. That was the first time I had to do a test with the oxy op's instead of the oxy oc's. My test came back back saying that methodone (that i've been on for 19 yrs.) and adavan (for 5 yrs.) was not showing up in my system! I lost my Dr. and my meds. It took 4 month to get another dr. and when she did the test it still didn't show up. I lost my meds again. This resulted in my ending up in the hospital with a heart attack, confulsions, my lungs shutting down and I had to be resisitated. I can't help but wonder if this is not the result of the oxycontins being reformulated. I never had an issue before that. Nothing else...
What kind of white oval pill has a V on one side of it and 3609 on the other side? ## A white oval pill marked with V on one side and 3609 on the other is reportedly identified as Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10mg); a generic form of Vicodin used for moderate to severe pain relief. Manufacturer: Qualitest Pharmaceuticals National Drug Code: 00603-3609 I hope this helps!
I just recieved a new prescription of norco 853 10/325. The last script was yellow and the new ones are white. The pharmacist said that Watson changed the color but the pill is the same, does anyone know if this is accurate? ## Watson has change a few different medications and the colors are different. But the Norco you're referring to is the same medication that you were prescribed prior. It is just as effective as the script you had filled before this one and it's a good thing that you ask the pharmacist, the pharmacist is correct. ## LuLu is correct and so was your pharmacist. There have been several posts on here recently about various Watson tablets being white now. It seems that some people were sensitive or allergic to the dyes they were using, thus they decided to do awa...
I have some Talwin that I started taking for back pain and they seem to work really well. They are made by Winthrop, yellow with a w on one side and wt 51 on the other. Prescription dated 1994. Do you think taking these can do any harm? ## Talwin contains Pentazocine, and Naloxone, it is used to treat pain, and to prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. But at 20 years, while they aren't dangerous, they will likely not still be effective, so it would be best to dispose of them, and see your doctor for a new prescription, if needed. Is there anything else I can help with?
white capsule with the word Stagesic written on it ## Huckaby Pharmacal lists this capsule as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, this dosage is no longer available, several years ago, the FDA required all combination products to reduce the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination products to no more than 325mgs per dose. They do, however, warn that it carried the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as dizziness, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and nausea. Is there anything else I can help with?
